Happy Saturday!😄 The fun continues in Florida! Went to two beaches just to walk the beach, some shopping, escape room and a game. Hopefully the weather co-operates tomorrow for a relaxing pool day.

I watched church online, did a cardio class (and hope to do another one today). I got a get well card finished for my friend in the hospital, I heard from her today. She is trying to do everything they have told her to do and if not, she will need surgery on her knee.

Happy Sunday, although nearly midnight! I’ve had a quiet weekend apart from George’s groomer visiting us yesterday. His coat is still quite short from her last visit when I was hoping for some warm summer temperatures, but nothing materialised so he has needed a rain coat on at times. I had meant to visit Debbie groomer’s mother since her last visit and have promised I will definitely do so very soon. The Dogue de Bordeaux Debbie was fostering for a charity, has been signed over by the previous owner who was escaping a violent relationship, so she and her husband have agreed to adopt her. It’s a big, strong breed and Debbie recently tore ligaments in her knee so her husband is taking on dog walking duties for now.
It’s become quite Autumnal so cool during the day and tonight cold enough for me to burn a few logs in the snug. I phoned Sheila to see if she was alright and we plan to meet on Tuesday for a walk and coffee somewhere.
Nothing much else to report so I will get myself off to bed. Both dogs have been outside for a late garden visit and it’s still raining but tomorrow should be brighter…. Please!

Summer appears to be over and it’s much cooler. Of course it’s also still raining! I collected Sheila this morning and we drove to the local woods to walk before going on to a local store that also has a coffee shop. Back home I contacted the chimney sweep about him visiting before Winter but he tells me he is currently holidaying with his family in Greece, lucky man! He will get in touch once home. Then booked a pedicure appointment next week and that was my day as the rain got heavier so definitely no chance to get gardening.
That’s the funniest teapot Lin. It looks like something artist Heath Robinson would have drawn. Any machinery that is cobbled together in order to work is referred to as a Heath Robinson, although I doubt younger generations will have heard of his cartoons.

Time to cobble together an evening meal so I might call it a Heath Robinson menu!

Hi, picked up my new prescription sunglasses today. They are great. Also picked up some library books. Did some classes, watched a live YouTube early this evening with all the new Christmas products for card making. Some really cute things! Jackie, I don’t know who did that funny teapot. I cannot find my way back to where I found it to see if there was more information.
Glad you and Sheila got out for a while today. So is your Covid pretty much gone so you can taste things again?

Happy Wednesday!
Had a wonderful time in Florida. We did lots of site seeing, an escape room, appetizers and bunco along with many other games. We also did a boat tour to see the Dolphins, my favorite.
It was rainy but the weather cooperated when we were out and about. Always happy to see my daughter and son in law as well as my grandson and his fiancé.

We are experiencing an Arctic blast in the middle of September which is a bit of a shock! After early grocery shopping and a short dog walk, I finally began to tidy more areas in the garden and although the forecast was for a dry, sunny day I found myself dodging showers. Sheila phoned to ask if I can take her to the hospital in Plymouth tomorrow morning for a pre op check before cataract removals. I have so much to be doing here at home so would rather not, but she doesn’t seem to have any other friends so I’ve agreed.
Lin, I did look into Erwin Moser, thank you, and it seems he was a prolific writer of children’s books. I’m still sneezing and snuffling so eating is nothing more than filling a gap, as we say. No pleasure and coffee is still a disappointment!
Welcome home Sandy. You certainly did lots to entertain yourselves!
Time for bed and I’ve just let the dogs out into the garden and found Brady asleep on the chair in the cold garden room. I did my best to place one of my jackets round him like a tent to keep him warm!

Welcome home Sandy. You had a busy time on your visit to Florida. Glad you are home safely.
Jackie, I am sorry you are just eating to fuel your furnace but aren’t able to enjoy your food and beverages. Very busy indeed. We had an abnormally cool streak but now are back to more summer like temperatures again. Sorry Sheila doesn’t have anyone else to give her a ride. I understand being without people to call on. Difficult for both of you.
I did a bit of laundry this morning, cooked some quinoa, sorted some supplies for an upcoming multi day class. Oh my, I don’t think I am up for session after session from morning to evening for three days straight. 👀 And I never did get my holiday cards started. I am very much behind now. I read a book this afternoon which I enjoyed.
I sent Anne a card a while ago. She sent back a note mentioning having problems with her eyes. Jackie, have you heard how Jilly is getting along? She had teeth extracted right?

Happy Friday 13th. A pleasant one here with a bright, sunny start. No frost but definitely colder. I’m planning to garden without interruptions after yesterday’s trip to the hospital with Sheila. As ever, these things always take longer than anticipated so I didn’t get much else achieved but she has been advised the cataract in one eye should be removed but it’s not urgent so hopefully a break for a couple of months.
This morning I saw David walking back from his earlier stroll with Hattie and as we chatted he noticed his builder striding across the moors, apparently looking for him! I’ve taken his phone number to hopefully get a quote for work required in my kitchen!
Lin, Anne told me her cataracts are thicker than normal so can’t be easily removed. It will mean a more complex procedure and only one at a time although I think that part is normal anyway. First date is mid October and 2nd one November 5th, our Guy Fawkes celebration! Now my days have calmed down (hopefully) I will write to her and catch up on all news to let you know. I owe her some Sneakers posts too. Gorgeous teapots! Keep them coming. 😁
Out to my garden I go. So much to be done but I need to start somewhere!

Happy Friday! My laundry has been started but I have to leave at 11:30 for a dental cleaning. Yesterday was a hectic day as I had so much going on in the morning before my meeting and then after I went to a friends house to help her set up her two new Roku's. I got home to eat dinner and wait for my grocery order. It was 7:00 before I even go to eat dinner so I don't know where that day went. I will be taking my friend to comcast after the dentist to get her bill reduced and later I am going to another escape room with Cheryl and Marisa. Busy weekend ahead as well.
Jackie, if you want me to continue to send Anne our posts just let me know but I think she prefers just communicating with you to make it easy on herself.
Lin, you are as busy as I am.

Hi, I am not feeling great. Lots of joint aches and a headache. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
I talked to two of my friends today. The friend in the rehab hospital is being tested on a number of things and if she passes all of them, they will let her go home. She is excited as she has really missed her cat. She will need to be in her special brace for 4 months.
My other friend had a long story about a medical crisis. I will sum it up. She woke up not able to see much from one eye. She spent the week going to doctor after doctor. Turns out she suddenly developed wet macular degeneration in that eye. She previously was told she had dry macular degeneration in both eyes with her latest exam 3 weeks ago. Anyway, she was able to get into a specialist and had her first injection in the troublesome eye yesterday.
Yipes. Life can change in a moment.
I did drag myself through my daily exercise and watched a live YouTube from Stamptember. A special month long event from a company that sells all the lovely card making supplies I love so much.

Can you believe this is a teapot?

A sunny and much warmer day so I was early taking George and Betty on to the moors. Very few people about and nobody I knew so I tested my walking by climbing to the top where both dogs had fun running about, exploring what’s been going on up there since we last went that way. We spent over an hour walking, then almost back to the car park I saw Brian with his Westie so that was another half an hour before finally driving home. Lots of gardening with a couple of breaks in between before cutting the grass, then made an Italian meatball dish with homegrown garlic.
My tomatoes are finally ripening!
Goodness Lin, that is a funny teapot but not very practical! I hope you’re feeling better today and the aches and pains have gone.
Sandy, now I know what I’m doing, I will keep Anne supplied with our posts, although I have missed a few days but not much has been happening!

Happy Sunday! Looks like I skipped yesterday but it was such a busy day I must have forgotten.
I went to Max's soccer game at 9am and then to the cemetery which was an hour away from the field.
First I stopped at the store to buy some roses and a balloon. After getting home I ate a quick lunch and then went to the pool until it was time for Church. The day just disappeared.
Today we are meeting for dinner at a restaurant near Rob and Lisa's. Her parents are treating us all because I am driving them to the airport Friday. They are going back to Florida until the holidays because Lisa's SIL had surgery and has three kids so they are going to help her during her recovery.
I have Monday and Tuesday to myself as of now and our pool is open until next Sunday. Wednesday I have a trial appointment after a couple of months of no appointments so it will be interesting to see what they have to say. I am still waiting for my glasses to be done at Costco, one pair is ready but I only want to make one trip. I think I will call them to see if second pair is in. According to them my prescription says my eyes are better than my last prescription so I will see. (no pun intended) I also ordered bifocals this time which I hope I get used to fast.
Hope you are feeling better today Lin and Jackie it sounds like you are on the mend.
