Oh, I have one! Today I noticed that my pants are too long. I'm wearing them in the same spot on my waist that I always do, but I guess because I have less leg fat filling them out, that the fabric is hanging lower than before. I'll take it I guess LOL15

I've been diabetic for a year and a half. My blood sugar hasn't been great, in the 160's when fasting, so on the 4th of July I started low carb/keto. After only 9 days, I had a blood sugar of 107 today. I'm so excited I can't even handle it! It's never been this low since I became a diabetic. This is such a motivator to continue with this lifestyle.13

It gets better too. I was having a terrible time with my numbers following the Diabetes Association diet and taking metformin. Staring LC (50 g) and then moving to keto (20 g) was like a miracle. The drop in glucose levels was quick and dramatic.
My doctor reduced meds and then stopped the metformin. I have been off the metformin since January. I just got an A1C for an appointment on the 23rd. It was 5.6. I am very happy with progress.9 -
When you're craving something sweet to go with your non-dairy cheese snack; but then you bite into the nd-cheese and discover that IT tastes sweet now. :laugh:2

"Victory" might be too strong a word but I've completed my first week of 14:10 intermittent fasting.
For a woman who - prior to LCD -couldn't go 4 hours without snacking, that feels like a victory.11 -
My ankles no longer swell up every day. It could be the Keto WOE. It could be the 20 lbs lost. It could be the extra walking and activity. Or it could be a combination of these things. Whatever it is, I'm so happy to be able to put on shoes without having trouble and without having muffin tops on my feet!12

Ok, so this might seem silly, but I can cross my legs now like a girl...thigh over thigh, knee pointing straight up, both legs straight down. I have not been able sit like that in almost 20 years. I am down 60 lbs and have about 70 more to go...I think. I am not sure because I have never been thin/in shape as an adult!13

I bought a couple dress shirts last summer because I really liked how they fit my body. I'm roughly the same weight right now, give or take about 3 lbs and these shirts DO NOT FIT the way I want them to. So, even though I never took measurements I clearly have some recomp going on.
or my taste in clothing styles has changed, which I think may be the real issue lol4 -
Twenty years ago or so during a move, my wife had me go through clothes that were too small and save the ones that I would wear again if I ever lost weight. We put them in a fancy garment box with a hanger. I tracked the box down, and the pants are all too big. There are a couple of suits in there I can wear again.15

This post made me think of polyester, bell bottoms, wide lapels and wide ties but then I realized you said 20 years not 50 years. Dear me...50 years ago and I well remember the fashions.
Kudos to you for shrinking into and out of your boxed up attire. May you wear it in good health.5 -

Well - no danger of wide ties since I always wear clergy collars. There was a snappy seersucker suit in there that I had forgotten about. There was a camel hair sport coat. These were things bought 25 - 30 years ago, and in what is probably a sad commentary on my wardrobe, they are exactly the same sorts of things I would wear today.3 -
Good quality clothes don’t ever really go out of style. A good tailor can make lapels narrower and perform other feats of magic to update clothes.2

So an odd one! In the past few months at great expense I might add, I have gone down in bras from a 38F to a 36F and now a 34F please note the back is going down the boobs are staying the same size damn it!!3

So I started my keto journey 3 years ago because I was diagnosed with PCOS. Doctors said it was impossible for me to get pregnant because of my disorder (I don’t ovulate on my own) but I stuck with keto because I truly believed it helped balance my hormones. Here I am 3 years later, with more digging and more research under my belt. I started carb cycling.. keto days thrown in the week along with high carb days. And we found out I’m pregnant! No medications, no exogenous hormones. All natural.25
