Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! 74 with an expected high of 87 and 40% chance of rain.

Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls. Folded laundry still not put away. LOL.

    Hi
I'm back from walking and once again no cents. The Temperature out the door was 72 degrees and still not comfortable walking due to humidity.

I am undecided whether to mow the lawn today or tomorrow or split the mowing between the days.

Howdy all y'all. It's scintillating Sunday! 71 with an expected high of 89 and 30% chance of precipitation.

I have NEW laundry to fold and put away. The old laundry is no longer in there. Also need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats.

I finished off the last of my leftovers for breakfast, so may have to actually cook something for myself tonight. I'm sure I can figure something out...

J is heading back up to Kentucky this afternoon, to assist his mother with some stuff having to do with her upcoming knee surgery.

    Good Afternoon!
I'm here! Ted came out this morning and cut the grass, and edged the driveway, and used the weed whacker! Don't know what got into him. Usually he just runs the mower for me....Yard looks fantastic!
We chatted after that...important discussions, like how accurate Fitbit is, how to 'cheat' it counting steps, and why it won't work with my phone...followed by what new phone I need (none, just thinking...phone works fine), His recollection of how he got the truck...I had to laugh, took me a while to convince him it was MY truck when I moved to the house and needed a truck ...and I did NOT specifically buy it for him...etc, etc,. Took us awhile to iron out those 'facts'...LOL!!!

I went to the kitchen after he left and made chickpea sandwich mix. Will have some for dinner, and tomorrow. Put it in the refrigerator to 'meld' the flavors...then I made for my late lunch a tofu scramble, which I just finished eating. There will be some of that for tomorrow also. So, I don't see cooking in my future til maybe Tues!! I'd have eaten the BBQ Jackfruit, but have no buns...its shelf life is still a year out, so I have some time!! :)

I need to take the time to watch the video's...and that pix Roger of the kid face planting on the asphalt....he'll be picking bits of asphalt out of his face and the sleeveless arm for months/years. Hurts to just think about it. Lots of value in long sleeves, and helmets.

Spots I cleaned on the living room run look good today.

Marietta finally made it to Texas...She is happy as a lark...Hope she continues to love Galveston for a very long time!! I can't imagine...those hurricanes that come up the gulf will bump right into her. That alone would make me crazy.

Ok, I'm outta here til tomorrow

    Later...

Hey Ed...M's husband found a love for plants and shrubs, and lawn some years back. M, not at all. I think she begrudged Doug the time he spent in the yard. Yard looked great BTW! But I'll make note of your friend, and share with her if needed. Thanks.

Just home from the gym, started the dishwasher, and will eat my chickpea salad sandwich in a minute....

But first...I watched the video's...That Emmy!!! I saw the one on peanut butter and mayo...(sounds disgusting), and the one with peanut butter and pickles, (who's pg?) and why did you say that wasn't vegan? Do you know something I don't? I don't have bread and butter pickles, but I read the sweet pickles, and the dill pickles and they were both vegan????? Ok, that leaves the onion and pb. Once again, sounds really yuck...and was delicious!! I didn't have a sweet onion, but used what I had...yellow onion...if you like onion that is great. I doubt I'll try the mayo and pb, as that is just an awful lot of fat...Maybe if I continue losing I'll make that one day when I have nothing in the house to eat!! Happens sometimes..

Ok, now, I am going to make my chickpea sandwich. Open face with a big red lettuce leaf for the 2nd piece of bread...as the pb and now the chickpea sandwich have used my last 3 slices of bread. I see a trip to Costco tomorrow! :):)
Roger you really should try some of those Emmy foods. The pb series really are good! I was amazed.

    See you later...

Last night at 10PM it was still 87 degrees and the temperature never dropped that much IMO.

I decided to mow the lawn Sunday, was out the door to mow at 8AM and ended up soaked with sweat.

    Ah, New laundry

Hopefully that knee surgery works out as well as it did for Mom when she had both knees replaced.

I know I would hard freeze them then vacuum seal them for long term storage. I shall have to look at this video later in a free moment.

What I wondered about was how the heck did that happen on a flat clean surface ?

As I remember it Galveston has had more than one severe flood, Hopefully she is living high enough that can not happen to her. Hurricane Alley :(

I am not what You call an adventurous eater
My Brother brought some large Green Onions from Pennsylvania that are this years crop, he claims that the are nice and sweet and make a Onion Sandwich that is delicious.
PB & Mayo, I'm with You, Yuck.

I have enough bread to last until My brother makes his midweek grocery run.

I can not think of any reason pickles would not be vegan, Weird, I suspect something else used in the sandwich.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! 75 with an expected high of 92 and 20% chance of precipitation.

Today is the first day of school so that alters the traffic patterns for a while.

The laundry room has NO LAUNDRY IN IT. After finishing the washing and drying yesterday, everything is folded and put away. I'm actually all caught up on laundry for a change.

J is safely in Kentucky at his sister's house.

I need to feed the cats and clean yesterday's cat bowls and get that pot roast into the slow cooker by 10:00 to 10:30 or so, along with some carrots, potato(es) and an onion. I generally don't put celery in with mine as I can take it or leave it, but would just as soon leave it, and usually don't have any on hand anyway. If I did have any on hand, I'd probably put it in just to use it up.

Lilo is getting antsy so it must be about time to feed the cats. At 15+ she's definitely the queen of the household.
