    Hi
I'm back home from walking and for once 1 beat up penny was found. The Temperature out the door was 30 degrees.

Howdy all y'all. It's Fantastic Friday! 12C/53F with an expected high of 14C/57F and 40% chance of morning showers.

Need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats. And I need to fold the laundry that I did yesterday, as it's all still sitting in the dryer. This should surprise no one.

Might need to get out to a grocery store too.
    Hi Ed
For Friday we did good to get past the low 40s, Today is forecast to be in the 50s with rain forecast for later and predicted to run into Sunday a high of 60 Degrees also.

The Folded laundry is still sitting in the laundry basket waiting to be put in the dresser drawers, maybe today :(
Vegan meatballs...wait, BANANA PEELS? I think I'll keep throwing banana peels away, thanks.
If I said that does not sound good to me ?
Vegan cheesy stuffed squash - Vegan Christmas.
This one looks tasty, I wonder how it would translate to no vegan food, likely easily.
    Vegan egg nog taste testing.
I may or may not have mentioned that I do not recall ever having Egg Nog, I might have and just do not recall it, if so it would have been many years ago.
    Vegan potato and sauerkraut latkes.
The Potato part looks more like A HAsh Brown Patty.
Once popular foods that we all stopped eating. Well, maybe not ALL?
I suspect that I may still be eating some of those, I shall know later when I watch the videos.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Valerie
I am in the process of finalizing a Christmas gift package to be shipped to my sister. I am packing a Flat Rate USPS box. Since the price is the same no matter what the weight I am thinking of putting in some surplus NS snacks so they do not expire. A note explaining that they are just there as filler naturally.

You have some list of stops, I try and keep to one or two maximum stops per trip with the car.

Yesterday was a dingy looking day that had some rain after noon, it started spritzing on the return home from our brunch with a friend.

    Have a Good Day

Howdy all y'all. It's soggy Saturday! 10C/50F with an expected high of 14C/58F and 100% (verified) chance of precipitation.

Need to feed the cats and get yesterday's cat bowls cleaned up. A nap sounds nice for a rainy day. The weather is definitely getting to my joints this morning, and I don't have anything on the shopping list critical enough to make me want to get out in the weather.

A friend had threatened ... er wanted to come over this afternoon and all of us get out for some shopping and a Thai or Indian meal but she wasn't feeling too well yesterday so that hopefully ... er, I mean probably won't happen.

Right now I need another mug of hot tea.

And now that we've gained ten pounds watching those videos, let's lose fifteen with this version of the cabbage soup diet. While I have made, and eaten cabbage soup from at least one version of that diet, there is no way I can eat it for as many days as the diets recommend. I LIKE the soup, but I can't eat anything too often over a short time period without getting really tired of it.

I will be back later, but have been laughing at myself all morning..thought I'd share
Yesterday, or day before it was posted ..a film clip of the Hippopotamus song, and the lady who sang the ditty as a child. Well, as luck?? would have it, ???? it stuck in my brain and I had classic 'ear worm'...
This morning I woke to the little song but the words went like this:
I want a hippopotamus for breakfast,
    Only a hippopotamus will do....
Don't want a chicken, no beef, or mutton stew etc, etc, ....LOL

It now after eleven, and I've only been only once doing a chore I didn't expect to do....The 2 french drains that Romero put in, were not draining...Overcoat, over jammies, little black rain hat, and my boots I had to go out and see what was the matter....you know, this root cause business. So, l Water was not getting to the drain...I was expecting to see leaves and such covering the actual drain...nope..I had to remove rocks at the low part of the drain, and then the huge puddles began draining. I think a good bit of rain had fallen quickly and was part of the problem. Thought maybe Ted in his exuberance of lawn mowing or leaves etc had clogged the system Thank heavens that wasn't the case...

So, off to the kitchen to make a pot of vegan delicious gravy, and turn on the oven, to begin roasting a veg mix that Kroger has been carrying...florets of broccoli, cauliflower, and baby carrots...got those yesterday! Not a day too soon, eh???

    Later...

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and not even one penny was found. The Temperature out the door was 47 degrees. The rain arrived on schedule per yesterdays weather forecast and is still falling currently.

I finally got around to putting the wireless Keyboard and Mouse I bought a while ago on this computer. I'm not saying it may have been sitting on the shelf in the basement a long time but the enclosed batteries from Logitech were leaking and corroded. I am much happier with no mouse wire and the switch freed up a USB port so that I do not need to order a new USB hub to replace the one that died recently. Not to mention that the left shift key which is the one I use has been getting flaky .

    Hi Ed
The forecast high for today is 60 degrees then starting Monday the temperatures drop for the rest of the week with a period of dry weather for most of the week

I prefer not to be driving in rainy weather so I do not blame You.
Fun with watermelon and things that can be prepared to look like watermelon.
Interesting, well probably since I have not watched the video yet.
From tree to bar. How to make chocolate from scratch.
I have seen how Chocolate is made and there is no way I would go to all that work.
And now that we've gained ten pounds watching those videos, let's lose fifteen with this version of the cabbage soup diet. Too much cabbage and I would be having lots of gas. Not to mention that eating only one type of food can lead to nutritional shortages.

    Hi Valerie
Isn't that a Christmas song, I have had songs get stuck in my ear in the past, I hate it when that happens.

I'm sorry that You have had to have French Drains installed as that indicates previous flooding. If they are rocks water should have percolated through them.

I could be wrong but that sounds like a mix that CostCo sells, The Normandy Mix. I do not recall if they are Organic, I do know that the Green Beans they sell are tasty. I always Microwave, I think that I should try roasting them too. I wonder if a commercial Gravy would work or maybe Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken poured over the roasted vegetables ?

    Have a Nice Day

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! 15C/59F with an expected high of 22C/71F and 20% chance of precipitation.

Need to clean up yesterdays cat bowls and feed the cats. And feed me. I'm thinking a little bacon, eggs, sourdough toast maybe. Or mac and cheese. I'll decide in a bit.

Might actually get out the door today and in the van and go somewhere, like Ingles. Yesterday I trudged down to the mailbox and came right back with the mail, and that was the only time I set foot outside at all.

I'll continue to ponder breakfast options (hey, there's oatmeal too!) while I sip this second mug of tea and lose myself in the internet.
