Good Morning!
Ed....Thanks for the info on the Tuesday red Wine. Do you buy it locally? I think my DIL might like that...and she has an early June birthday...this would go nicely with her Amazon C/C that she uses to buy 'summer reading'
Roger, I guess you could call it Mock Chicken, but why bother? I can't eat it. I used to eat the protein isolates, and seitan...I've dropped almost all of that. You might want to share the Beans and Rice video with your brother... Some interesting seasonings and prep and cooking stuff. I've used small red beans, and I like them! (I find them at the Mex. Market next door from the gym!
Ed's going to Aldi, perhaps...I'm going to Kroger for SURE! Several 'critical' the Kroger list! I've put it off all week, and today's the day! Thanks Ed, for a new way to look at my lists! Critical or (fill in the blank) Wants?
Now if I could only get a restart like in the one humorous image I posted
If You dropped most of those where are You getting Your Proteins from now.
Beans and My brother, hmm... Frozen Lima and Baby Lima Beans, Maybe once in a blue moon Green Beans and all the other beans he buys whatever Dried beans are on sale
Wants are the reason I try and stay away from anywhere selling foods. I'm a little unhappy I dropped a fair amount of weight this week, I suspect Water Weight BTW and the Pants I wear walking and the hole in the belt are unchangedI also need to spend a few hours with the yard. Full of twigs AGAIN, and red Maple blossoms all over my driveway, sidewalk, and porch. The blower will make quick work of that chore...sadly the cutting back, trimming, etc will take a bit longer.
Today is a gym day......:( or ...hmmm. Gotta do it though.
I also need to go back and hunt up the sauce you both are talking about...I've learned to make sauces beyond 'gravy'. They do help perk up old standby foods!
Ok, I am off...need to jump into my gym clothes. (if you take that literally, I might not make it there in this lifetime!) No jumping for this ole gal.
Later...
The red pollen and the red Maple Blossoms that should be here in the near future are why my brother is holding off on having the Car (F150 Ford) washed.
No jumping here either, If You see me jump something must have startled me as that could end badly.
Sauces really do help. I suppose You could even call Ketchup a Sauce as well as BBQ sauce. Brown Gravy or white gravy too.
Today I am opening the Salisbury steaks I bought on Clearance Sunday and threw into the freezer. The listed weight of One pound which I suspect could be low for the two of them means I will be eating them for two days. I will cut each one into thirds and portioning the Gravy and sauteed onions proportionally. One Third with Lunch and another third with Dinner and the last third in a midday snack sandwich. Two days of that and then I need to decide what to pull from the freezer for Sunday. Maybe the Cooked Perdue Chicken breast that was bought when they were on sale.
Have a Good time at the Gym

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! Should be another nice one too. J is off to Savannah to do the photography for an orchid show this weekend. I have a pound of ground beef thawing, though I am not at all sure what my inner Eduardo may make from it. I was thinking maybe spaghetti but often other ideas magically pop up once I get into the kitchen and actually get started. I had initally planned shepherd's pie from the lamb a few days ago but Edweirdo...er Eduardo suddenly had other ideas. LOL!

It looks so good too. Of course Beefaroni should be in a Tomato based sauce and not a Brown sauce. It also looks a lot like Hungarian Goulash using crumbled hamburger rather than nice chunks of beef.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! I might get out to Aldi and/or Publix today, as it is expected to be a very nice day, but since I don't HAVE to, I probably won't. Someone had said something about getting together sometime on the weekend but I haven't heard anything more and, being the introvert that I am, have no intention of asking. If he really wants to see me, he can pursue it! I did see two different friends yesterday, for short, separate, visits so am not apparently in any immediate danger of becoming a hermit.

Good Morning!
It is going to be sunny...I just know it is...feel it in my bones. Right now it's gray. but no rain expected until overnight.
Folded the last load of clothes this morning, and have eaten my breakfast & enjoyed my cup of coffee. Also an listening to a segment of a summit on diabetes. Again the message is eat fruit and vegetables...drop the meat, and especially the fat. Story synopsis is, you can control your blood sugars by avoiding carbs, BUT you are not curing your insulin resistance, and therefore you still have diabetes. Now, for my friend M, she's happy just having good numbers...and taking several drugs for diabetes, for cholesterols, etc. I love the message....just not enough people willing to control the actual disease. (the ones who actually follow this way of eating are the ones who have survived a major heart attack, and have heard the message..)
Roger, I bought a big container of Ceylon Cinnamon, when it rang up it was just for like $3. I stood there for a minute...to tell someone there was a barcode misreading and selling cinnamon way to cheap.. or to take the price and keep my mouth shut??? So, before I could decide the gal monitoring ask if I had a problem...so I told here about the cinnamon...and she said that WAS the correct price. Now, go look at the cinnamon next Costco run, and see what you're paying for it. (would you mind to do that for me?)
Ed, thanks for the wine info. I rather suspected it was part of you wine club. Ah, well.
Several of your video's to watch... but right now I'l listening to a health summit. I missed the original showings, and have only today, and tomorrow to watch the replay...unless of course I fork over about a hundred bucks to own the entire summit...(not gonna happen!)
Its already looking brighter outside, and I'm going to put on my 'yard work' clothes and blow the driveway red maple carpet, and do a bit of trimming. AND I'm doing to call it my workout for the day. Gym tomorrow...play today!

I've only seen one cat that would actually let its owner bathe it. Growled a bit, but stayed put none the less. And loved the hair dryer. She had long gray hair, and was a great cat. I would keep her when her owner was out of town. Great fun. As for Tom E. I might pack his bag for him....lol!! He's such a mess! Poor kitty.
Rain early tomorrow. Driveway looks much better, a little bit pine straw to get out of the street gutter. Maybe tonite, maybe next week! Might be good thing to do on April Fools day??? Oh, and there was a dead snake on my driveway. About 6-8 inches, probably an Eastern Garter snake.
See you all tomorrow!0 -

No free ham yet, for some reason they have not had them at the Grocery Store. We tried Yesterday Morning and the only ones in stock were the Spiral Cut which my brother does not want. Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! Cooler today, with a rainy morning forecast, but the hourly forecast looks like the afternoon will be dryer. Once again, I may or may not get out today. I didn't go anywhere yesterday, but I did at least step outside for a bit.

Good Morning!
Time is flying by this morning...I've watched only a couple of vids, and more I want to see, and, more articles to look at from Roger's Brother.
It did indeed rain last night, but not very much. 0.06 inches says the rain gauge. And we should be rain free the rest of the day.
Ed, today would be a perfect day for any of the grocery stores...Gets you out of the house, and items off the list!
Tom E. wouldn't even go out earlier this morning, but he did go out for a few minutes just a bit ago. Apparently he is not into damp, chilly, and windy gray days! LOL!
Few weekend chores and the day will be mine. Hope to listen to at least three more of the 'last chance' video's on diabetes, and also a nap would be nice!

Hi
I'm back home from walking and I no money as I was walking today. The Temperature out the door was 33 degrees. There was a breeze blowing this morning that took the wind chill into the 20s and felt worse when I was facing into it.
Still no Ham, Sunday the Butcher said next weekend. What the heck, is there a shortage of Cooks brand Hams or is it a issue with the one store ?

We did have the rain that was forecast yesterday from around 9AM when it started with light sprinkles into the afternoon, Rain amounts were reported to be around 2/10s of an inch. The rain forecast for this week is 0% for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 80% for Friday and 20% for Saturday according to News12 the local cable only news channel. It appears that Your forecast was similar to ours, We had our high for the day at midnight and the temperatures slowly dropped throughout the day and night. The overnight was partially due to the cold front moving through and the rest of it from the clear sky allowing the heat to escape into space.

9 Genius Money-Saving Leftover RecipesSince we rarely have leftovers except after holidays...
I do not count as leftovers the Bargain bin foods I pick up at the Grocery Store as I use them as a protein supplement to my meals. Just saying, Holiday leftovers get eaten after being warmed up and not transformed into something else. BTW my brother would consider using leftover mashed potatoes as part of a Shepherds Pie as wrong. He warms them up in the skillet with gravy.interesting, using the Microwave and eating Vegetables, then the Entree followed by a Protein and lastly a fruit I can spend 30 minutes between start to finished. 15 minute recipes, They were not that interesting, Fish, nope, Gnocchi, Nope to starchy, White Chicken Chili, Likely to hot for my tastes. There is no way I am spending that kind of money for a meal or a weeks meals FWIW.
