Ham, lamb, buttered broccoli, cheesy scalloped potatoes. Wine. There were also croissants. And wine. And carrot cake. And I sent leftovers home with the friend who came to dinner.

    Looks good Ed. Lucky friend!
All well here. No gym today, closed all day. I may hop on the recumbent bike in my front hall...maybe...

    Happy Easter Monday!

And what did I have (as usual) for Easter Monday breakfast? Fried (not green) eggs and ham!

I need to get to the vet to pick up some more of Lilo's injectable weekly medicine. It was supposed to be ready for pickup last week but they never called. As I need to inject her tomorrow, I sure hope they just forgot to call.

    Happy Earth Day!
There's a quiz about Earth Day on my CNN morning news app....I failed. However I retook the quiz and aced it! LOL! That's a cheat!

I watched a bit of the Irish people trying Easter candy LOL!...and a bit of Ashen's Easter candy. I watched a snippet of the Vegan Mac and cheese...that I will return to and watch! Possibly more than once.

Looks like it may be another nice day today! I've got a ton of things to do...house chores, outdoor chores, gym, and I'd best do some cooking somewhere in there!

Liked your wrapped Easter Plate...it had some broccoli on it at least. :)

    Good Morning!
Ed, looks like its still just you and me...I had high hopes that Roger would magically appear this morning. So much for high hopes.

Gym is on my 'morning' list. Got my groceries yesterday...and I bought several slices of watermelon! It is SOOO good. I figured with the afternoon temps in the 80's again it was worth a shot!
I have a load or two of laundry, need to put the rice and water in the IP, and other assorted little afternoon chores. Hopefully I'll get outside for a bit with the weed eater attached to my arm....its time.

Hope you're having a good day....

It's terrific Tuesday! A bit warmer than I'd prefer but that's Georgia! Not a lot on the agenda for today. Been loading up my new phone, prior to actually activating it. So when we do go to activate, everything should be ready to roll.

I'm going to skip posting of any videos for today.

    Hi
I'm home from the hospital, Still tired and once I post this I'm off of here, I need to get some meds delivered, Call for follow ups and schedule a outpatient procedure.

Short story. I say the Doctor and he sent me to the ER for a Catscan. The Catscan showed a incarcerated hernia that had trapped some intestines. They did the surgery the same day. It was described as a large hernia and that it had to be repaired the old method, It seems I also have a small hernia on the other side that he can do on a same day in and out basis with robotic surgery after the outpatient procedure is done, Busy, busy and oh so tired. I was barely able to get dressed to come home with the bloating from all the IV fluids they pumped into me. I ended up with the waistband unbuttoned and partially unzipped. I was told not to lift anything over 20 pounds for at least 8 weeks, I also will not be walking for a while :(

I got released Monday evening and today is the first day I feel at all like turning the computer on.

I will be back to read messages from while I was absent tomorrow.

    Have a Good Day
    Roger

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! Welcome back, Roger! Glad to know you are getting all fixed up!

    4kqkqqa4gbt2.png

Going to be another warm one here with no chance of precipitation. I may get out for a couple of things.

    I'll skip videos again today.

    Happy Day!! Roger has returned!!!
Ok, so that Rogers return will likely be the highlight of my day. We were worried about our buddy!!! As you will see when you read back posts, one of our laments was because we didn't have any contact info for you. Trust that you will 'fix' that oversight for us??? You were missed!!!

Nothing over 20 lbs...I see 'brother' making garden with a 'supervisor' this spring. Enjoy your new position!!

Gym for me today, and I want to finish cutting back the forsythia. I got a good healthy start on it yesterday evening....now I need to go finish the job...and I also need to do some weed whacking today as well. Its warming up nicely this morning, even though its a cloudy day so far..

Back later, right now my coffee is cold, and I have half a cut avocado in the refrigerator that is begging to become Avo Toast!!! Today and tomorrow avo toast, then no more til sometime in May...trying to stick to one avo per month.

    Later...

    Good Morning Guys!
Cloudy...gray, but 66 degrees so all good. Not quite as warm today is the prediction. That too is all good!
Roger hope you're feeling a bit better after a good nights sleep and in your own bed!! Hospital beds are sheer torture!
Ed, get out today, cuz the rain is coming later tonite maybe into Friday a.m. and 71 and windy Friday. YUCK!

I got the rest of the forsythia cut back yesterday, and trimmed the girth of the zebra grass clump. I hope to get out with the weed eater later today, and I will pull weeds Saturday or Sunday...some, most of those weeds being blackberry brambles. Persistent little devils. (and their blooming, guess we can call tomorrow's high of 71 our quickie 'Blackberry Winter'?) LOL!!!

Tom opted to spend the night out last night. He seemed right pleased with himself this morning. Goof ball cat.

Today is my oldest son's 53rd birthday. And poor guy, he's sick! Good old fashioned cold. Saturday after the LaCrosse game I'm treating him (and family) to lunch at the same place they took me....I think I see a second Cannoli in my future? And, yes I know its got dairy. and sugar, and, and...sometimes you gotta just live for today.
One more major bad food choice coming up this summer...a couple from my gym, from long ago have opened an Ice Cream Shoppe laced with booze...like Jack said the ice cream is delightful, and to eat before I go, cuz the food is disgusting!!! LOL!..but I really just want to taste the ice cream and say a big "HI!!!" to the both of them.

So, its off to the gym, and a few chores around here, and out side...enough to keep me quite busy for the day. Will be back later to check for Roger's post. I'm hoping he's comfortably sleeping in this morning.

    Later...

    Hi
Before I forget again, heading into the ER last week I found 11 cents, Since I will not be walking for a while I expect that will be the last in quite a while.
Of and On Rain is in the forecast for today, So far it was raining overnight, then it stopped by the time I got up and is now raining again.

FWIW I am slowly feeling a little bit stronger day by day.

Before I forget I really had no way to keep in touch in the hospital, I thought about trying to walk my brother through where to post over the phone, His mind interprets what I say in unusual ways so I gave up, Sorry.

I really did not expect to be admitted and operated on when the doctor sent me there :(

    Good Morning!
Sorta overcast, and windy! But 63 degrees says my weather station. Not too bad, eh?

Oh, I don't think Ed or myself expected daily updates from you, but maybe, maybe you could have brother put our phone number, (either, or both) in his contacts and send a quick text? or an email to one of us?? No, your right, while you're in the hospital is no time trying to teach someone how to log into NS or any other board.
I think I can speak for both Ed and myself when I say we're more than happy to have you back again...go slowly and at your own pace. You will be walking again probably sooner than you expect...not your entire route for awhile, baby steps and all that ya know!!!

Ed...what's on your agenda today? I don't know about your end of the county, but I only got about 0.05 inches of rain, and it all seemed to happen around 9p.m....however the evening news seemed to indicate that other parts of the county got storms and rain more like 6p.m. Big county...sometimes means really odd weather here and there!
Do you still plant micro greens? I'm thinking of having a go at it...open for opinion and/or advice!

I'm off to the gym...it will be day 5, and then I'll do back to back strength training here at home Saturday/Sunday. Keeps my watch happy! LOL! Keeps me happy too. More energy, etc.

Ok,...I'm off and running! (in my mind only)

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! I've been up for hours, but distracted playing with (and activating) our new phones. We now each have a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, UNLOCKED, so we got no discount on the purchase price.

We were able to basically swap SIM cards into the new phones, copy everything over, including screen layout, all the applications, and most settings, which made the transition very easy. It seems to get easier each time we upgrade. We did have to adjust settings within some of the applications, and I am sure I still have some tweaking to do there.

We chose to pay full price for unlocked phones as we did not want to negotiate a new 2 year contract with Verizon. We are currently on month to month and we are planning to switch from Verizon to Google Fi, as soon as the Google Fi SIM cards arrive. This particular phone is not available from Google, but will work with the service, and it is the phone model J wanted.

We didn't get any rain yesterday and none is expected today.

Ok, I need some folks who have long memories, and/or kitchen sense/skills!

I watched the video on Bread and Butter Pickles. Here's the thing...those were the only pickles I've ever really liked. (I'm not a dill pickle fan at all) I don't remember having red peppers in Mom's, but there were onions. (could well be that red peppers weren't available in mid America in the 50's.... But, I thought she also made some of those pickles in the refrigerator, as 'Refrigerator Pickles" meaning no canning or hot water baths. Am I right OR am I having an incorrect memory moment???
