Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! Another day of our heat wave, with no chance of rain. I will be watering things shortly. I think lunch and dinner will be microwave cooked.

Good Morning..Wednesday, another hot and dry one!
I will be going to the gym shortly. All dressed, just need socks and shoes!
Not so much on my list today. Yesterday I got a late start out the door, and headed for Costco...word of warning, never ever no matter what go to Costco the day AFTER a Monday holiday! Good grief, it looked like Christmas madness both in the parking lot, and in the store. And to add insult to injury, I goofed up with my phone, and deleted my list! So, it was 'interesting to say the least...also time comsuming. Had just enough time to drop off the stuff for the refrigerator, and beat it to the gym! Got my 30 minutes and hurried home, just in time for my weekly chat with Jack! It was just 'that kinda day'... Today will be better!
Hope Roger, that you and brother are not part of the expected 'spare' storm. So far as I know my brother is still ok in MO. OTOH, I haven't looked to see if he's on fb this morning...
Its quite nice outdoors right now, Tom and I sat out there for morning coffee, and canned food Tom E. breakfast! He even shared some swing space with me for a a fairly short 'visit'. And then he took off from the porch to perch on the table in the back yard. Goofy cat.
My gardenia has lots of open blooms today. I can see about half the bush from where I'm sitting at my desk!

And another day of perfect grass growing weather here in NJ with enough sun and rain. I think my brother scared mother nature when he bought a watering can and a watering wand for the potted plants and as a result we are having rain often enough to not need them

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! The heat wave continues, but we do have a slight break in the temperature today. We're expecting a high of only 93! No chance of rain.
Exceptional cartoons today, Roger! And I still have 4 news articles to read.
I could get out to buy a few things today but probably not as I'll have more money available tomorrow.

Good Thursday Morning...Hot, Hot, Hot!
I think we're stuck in summer already. I could have used a few more weeks of spring, and a more gradual move to summer. But, as the saying goes, it is what it is!
Ok, I'd have been here an hour ago, but I went to gmail... looking for 2 articles I forwarded to myself last night, and I don't see them....I even looked at the Junk file... One was a super article on prebiotics, and pro-biotics. Nicely written with food lists, etc. In other words crib sheet nutrition! Well, one thing quickly lead to this..oh drats, I goofed that up....its in CNN BUSINESS, and its the new Ferrari SF90...bright red and the design of the car is over the top gorgeous! I think I drooled. Read the article...impressive. It has the display on the drivers side windshield, (like airplanes do), 0-60 in TWO (2) seconds..OMG! its a hybrid, has 3 motors, yadda, yadda. So go look for it if you want to see beauty! AND, its only 1.5 to 2 million before add ons!!!! Do I have good taste or what? WIll be buying my lottery tickets today. (lost all of my lottery winnings this week, sad)
Now, I read thru you posts, and there is so much I want to go back and read...will have to happen later, as I am late getting out of here today. Have a date with the gym, and then Publix to buy lottery tickets, and home before it gets just too stinkin' hot to be out doors. And I really should water today. Some of my plants are really sad looking by evening.
Later guys....do go look at my pretty red car...:) Since I stupidly lost the link, Google: CNN Business SF90, and first thing up should be Ferrari's new plug in car..or something close to that...it tells a lot more about the car if you click on the pretty picture than I mentioned above...

Hi
Currently It is 63 degrees outside. There was another round of storms yesterday in the late afternoon into the evening and then around 11 PM a final round of heavy rain. Before the last of the rain parts of the are had 2 to 2.5 inches of rain and flooded streets.
When I did a followup visit to the local doctor Wednesday as much to bring him up to date my brother suggested that since I was unable to walk far why not ask about a Handicap Placard. I printed out both types of applications, the long term one and a short 6 month application which is what I went with. The Temporary one is good for six months with one 6 month renewal. That one i finished filling out Thursday and looking at it I saw that at the bottom there was a place for the Chief of Police to sign it. When I went to the local PD it appears that they hand out the placards for the 6 month ones. I left it with them and they called me back later and Voila I have a Red Temporary Handicap Placard without ever having to brave the end of month Crowd at the Motor Vehicle Commission facility. I feel bad that I need it and I am hopeful that once I have the surgery and follow up treatments if needed I will bounce back.

I had wondered how the Veterinarian on would go over
Lucky Us plenty of soaking rains the last three days, No watering needed for a few days minimum. Highs today in the lower 80s, I predict a sunny day with plenty of AC units running in NJ. I do not think I would have referred to a high of 93 degrees as only 93
I am awaiting the Pension check in the mail, I usually put most of it into the checking account and keep $147 out of it for spending especially since SSI will not arrive until June 12.
FWIW the Police Chief approved and signed the form despite the PD being busy dealing with some emergencies. Our town departments work pretty efficiently. The Placard expires November 30 and by then I will know if I need to have the doctor re-certify for another 6 month or not.Carla Makes White Pesto PastaKids Try Chinese Food from Around the WorldVegan Dollar Store Cooking ChallengeIrish People Try Jack Daniel's Whiskey MixesChef Vs Chef ULTIMATE 20 MINUTE MEAL BATTLEparityanimal wrote: »And an extra:

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! I don't actually get my pension payment until tomorrow, but since it's a weekend there may be some small delay. I can go a bit into overdraft if I decide to go shopping today I suppose.
It should be a great day for it with a positively frigid high of only 85 expected, and 10% chance of rain.

I do not really expect my Pension until Monday's mail delivery they seem to mail on the first, they may have mailed it Friday due to being closed on Saturday. If so then I still cannot do anything with it until Monday since we usually get our mail in the afternoon, Luckily I still have a few shekels left in the Billfold. According to my brother I use a billfold since I fold it and he uses a wallet since it does not fold.
Overdraft, Whats that ? FWIW It was offered when I opened the Checking account to link it with my savings account to prevent overdrafts, I declined.

Hello Valerie0 -
Howdy all y'all. It's another sizzling Saturday, but not as sizzling as the prior one. My pension hasn't even pre-posted yet, though I know it is in the can, as the allotment to the pets' account HAS posted, in the other bank. Once weekend processing starts, I should have the bulk of that pension payment available. My other annuity is scheduled to post on or about the 5th.
I did get a few items while out to dinner last night. I enjoyed goat curry at a nearby Jamaican restaurant and then stopped by Dollar General, which was a mistake. On the other hand, the smoked cheddar flavor of the wavy Pringle's is not bad. Terribly salty, but not bad.
I guess I'll postpone the major shopping until at least tomorrow.

Hi Guys...wonderful Saturday!
It was 63 degrees at my house this morning when I woke about 7:30ish.
I enjoyed about half a cup of my new coffee, (Mushroom Coffee Mix). The coffee was good! A slight bitter taste, sorta reminded me of a very dark chocolate taste.
Then I fed Tom E, and he sat with me for a short while before deciding he would go out the cat window and up onto the roof! Where he continued to 'over see' the work I was doing in the back yard. Like I need a supervisor? a mouthy one at that!
Finally quit about 11 a.m. it was by then 80, and the mosquitoes were beginning to stir. So, I've been eating lunch watching noon news and reading our posts, video's and laughing at the cartoons!
Have either of you ever made butter? There was a time that Dad had a milk cow, and a big black iron weird looking thing sat in our kitchen...it was a cream separator. I don't know that I ever saw it used. Must have been one of those things that happened before I got up, or more likely after I was asleep for the night...anyhow, we always had quart jars of fresh cream in the refrigerator. Then, there was this square glass container with a threaded top. The top had 4 paddles that went into the jar, and a geared handle to turn. That churned the butter. I always begged to do that. Which I half way did before it got to hard for me to turn.
Fast forward to about 1979, when my neighbor came over for coffee and was complaining bitterly about some 'bad whipping cream' that she got at the grocery. She was whipping it with a rotary hand held beater, and she noticed there were yellow lumps in that cream. She was taking it back to the grocer. AND she didn't believe me when I told her she's over whipped it and it was forming butter. So, I had to make butter for her!! The odd things I do!
Yesterday I got ALL of my chores done! That's not usual. At the post office they looked but couldn't find my package. WHen the mail ran, Kelsey left my package in the mailbox!! That's the second or third time something like that has happened. and I guess 2 or 3 times in 23 years is a pretty good average!
Found by accident a stand alone car wash as I was coming home from the PO. So for $5 bucks I got my car cleaned. There were more expensive option, but I just wanted the dust, and the one big splot of birdie poo on the hood gone!
Our financial workings are so different! I haven't looked yet, but my pension check from the Red Cross should have posted yesterday, and I'll go online and look later. My Social check posts on the third Wednesday of the month...and is not 'day dependent'. I rather it was day dependent, so I'd know that check was deposited on the 16th or what ever.
Ok, I've eaten, will check in with my bank, and then I think it must surely be nap time!!
