A little over a month after her passing, we finally laid Bonnie to rest yesterday, with a surviving remnant of the black willow that the sidewalk contractors destroyed, as a marker for a sweet pet.

Clyde and Mr. Remus Crabbypants are still getting to know each other. They may NEVER live in the same space, but at least they can see, smell, and chatter at each other and bump noses if they really want to.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! Another chilly morning but with an expected high of 60 and no chance of precipitation. Not a lot on the agenda today other than a nap! I woke up about an hour early today. Fancy that! LOL. I hate changing the time and wish we could just leave it alone.

I did eventually remember the item for the shopping list and added it.

    Hi Ed,
I'm waking early too, but I don't let that stop me from getting right back to sleep for that 'extra' hour.
Ted and I went to Costco bright and early this morning. Roger would have counted our trip a total 'fail'. We poked around and hunted for this and that...so that it was crowded by the time we left! I also bought 2 extra items...Ted found some apple pastry things, and when we checked out, they were 2-fers. So he had to go back and get another package of them..cherry this time. Not bad enough there is still Boo Candy now pastry too! LOL!
At least I didn't buy any junk food. Then I hit the gym, and on to Walmart for cheaper than supermarket cat food. 70 cents at Publix is 59 cents at Walmart, same Friskies...oh well. I get a bunch when I go, so its only every 3 weeks or so..
Dog and cat are not sleeping together, but fairly nearby...maybe you two sugar babies and our two animals will someday learn to get along together!?!

I'm heading for a nap, and then about 4, when its warmest out, I'm cutting the huge monster size Miss Huff Lantana back to the ground. I think I got one on some kind of weird steroids that don't wear off. Every year I cut it back to the ground...and every year I think I've finally killed it...only for it to pop up and start growing like a crazed plant a couple weeks after most every other thing has sprouted or bloomed.

Need to go back and watch some video's after dinner.
Oh, Nate's LaCross game was a great game, we were sitting in the sun, and it was nicely toasty! Enjoyed the game. (because it was the last one of the season maybe???)

    Ok, nap time...

NEW EMAIL SCAM GOING AROUND! DON'T FALL FOR IT!

This morning I received an ALMOST believable email purporting to be from PayPal, regarding a supposed issue with my account.

First, the FROM address is very odd. Really? Service@mail.paypal.com <service-center7257211@judi.business>?

Second, it wasn't apparently addressed to me, but to reminder@mail.paypal.com. That is a highly unlikely address for PayPal to send an email to, as PayPal ALWAYS addresses me by name, when emailing me, and would not be sending email for me addressed to a mailing list type email address.

Third, the body of the email starts with "Dear Customer" and my name is not Customer. PayPal would never address me as "Customer" in an email and ask me, in that email, to click on a link to log in to PayPal, particularly a link that would route me to a redirect link, not to PayPal at all.

It looked something like this, including all the odd typos, but this time there were no egregious grammatical errors:

    Service@mail.paypal.com <service-center7257211@judi.business>

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! I do need to get out today for cat food and some other groceries. On a short walk yesterday, I noticed that a couple of the neighbors were enjoying a late picnic lunch of squirrel tartare.

If you think they are dining like a couple of vultures...well, they ARE but I don't think we can hold that against them, since they are, in fact, a couple of vultures. LOL.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It should be a pleasant day, as far as temperature, but I see 90% chance of precipitation too. I don't have to go anywhere today, and we need the rain, so I hope we get it. Maybe the cats will let me nap today. Yesterday, they let me nap for nearly an hour and decided that was enough, though I had hoped for a bit longer. LOL.

    Good Morning Ed
Yes, overcast today, rain later in the afternoon....enjoy that nap!!
Will watch Grandpa's kids later, right now its shower time...then gym, and home??? no errands? what an odd day!
Just wanted to say a quick hello!
I roasted a big pan of vegetables yesterday for dinner! MMMMM! (and Ted the vegetarian wouldn't even taste them... how you can be a vegetarian, and not eat veggies is beyond me!) In all fairness he did fix cauliflower fried rice on Sunday, and said he'd repeat that again soon with a few more peas and carrots. Its a start?)
Saw a possum in the back yard last night.......can't say that made me particularly happy. Oh, and the raccoons struck a couple days ago...during the day no less. Turned over Tom E.'s straw nest, drug his furry big bed off of the wrought iron chair, and over to the cat access holes in the screen porch. But since those holes are about 3 feet up, I still have the furry bed! They did some other things like overturning a trash container, knocking over the groom, etc. Dratted raccoons!

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! We did get a decent amount of rain yesterday and overnight. Today is supposed to be cool, with no chance of precipitation. My local bank was recently devoured by another bank, and I think I have worked out all the kinks following the transition. I have scheduled my last test of that for overnight tonight, but anticipate no problem with it.

I might get out to Kroger today for a few things, and may pick up lunch if so, while out. And I need to get some of Mike's tomato gravy with pork started in a slow cooker! I think it would go nicely over a small serving of pasta.

And, of course, I need to feed these POOR, STARVING CATS that are clearly not exactly wasting away but you can't convince them of that. LOL.

    Hi Ed,
home from the gym, and eating the last of the roasted veggies and a decent sized salad with raisons, green olives, tomatoes, red onion, oh, and romaine lettuce! And FF 'Skinny Girl' Poppy Seed dressing. All Good!!

Only a couple of things on my list today, starting with a nap!

No particular news...thinking of Mike. It will be a long day for him.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday. We are scheduled to do the photography (if any is needed) at today's South East regional orchid judging. It's pretty cold this morning, and only supposed to hit the mid 50s today. We have no idea how many orchid plants will actually show up, much less whether any will be awarded. Of course that is always true but better weather brings more people with plants. On the other hand, cooler weather can bring DIFFERENT plants. If none are awarded, then no photography is required, though we may shoot some plants we find interesting.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! Another nice day looming, with no chance of rain. Not much on the agenda today, though I COULD get out for cat food and a couple of things. Or I could wait. Isn't that nice? LOL.

We had a new outside visitor this morning. I haven't seen this one before but love the white tip on the tail. None of our cats saw this one, so there was no immediate consternation regarding its presence.

    Hello Ed!
What video's!! Cat's reaction to some kind of 'stinky cheese', and Grandpa cooking Goat Lungs infused with who knows what, and then fried. I'm sure there was more, but thankfully amnesia set in and I don't remember!! LOL!

Hope the orchid show went well, and there were some flowers to photograph! I'm amazed, cold as it has become, I have azalea's blooming out side the kitchen window. Orchids inside are done for the year. But left with big promises for 2020!

Ted and I made a grocery run to Whole Foods this morning! That's always fun, and we go thru the store critiquing the other's food choices!! I picked up some tasty cashews..just a small dab, They will come home with me in a bigger quantity next time...and a loaf of bread, which Ted saw, said he'd seen it on line the night he searched the internet for my Irish Promise Bread...which is no longer available at Costco in GA...all over the North East..closest was in Philly. :(. Bought this other loaf...when we got it home I was reading what I should have done in the store.....has eggs in it. Damn! Bread for Ted. :) Also the hot bar had 'sprigs' of cauliflower that looked as though they'd been dipped into curry powder...they weren't bad, but not good enough for a 8 mile drive to get more . I got more of the date thingy's rolled in coconut. Those are great for a quick bit, or dessert even. Sweet from the dates. What can I say...I have a mouth full of sweet teeth! lol, maybe.

I think I'll go outside. Maybe take Maya for a 'bonus' walk. And then off to the gym....

    Morning Ed!
Still trying to get my morning going...although I've fed Tom E. and cleaned his water bowl and litter box. Took out the trash, and a few odds and ends...also my coffee cup is now empty...

I sent a group response to Mike and all about the Cali pix. I hope no one in this group is so thin skinned that a photo is objectionable to them. (though that is not exactly how I worded it!) I did remind them to hit the store for the 'snow essentials!" LOL!!

So Mike now has a nice new TJ's...I'm not jealous, much! Although the one by you is nice enough for me to spend my money there. (or in Midtown too for that matter)

Ted has his hopes pinned on cold temps and maybe some appropriate white precip....I do so hope he's wrong! sorta. He loves snow. Always has, even as a little kid. Should we get anywhere near half inch, he'll be out there building a snowman with the neighborhood kids!

Have a good day... get out and do your shopping, the rain is coming! LOL!!

    Later...
Oh, how was the orchid show? Did Jason take pix? Orchids or other plants?? I'd love to see a couple of the pix, if he doesn't mind sharing. All of my orchids are now officially finished blooming.. last bloom drop happened about 7-10 days ago. It was a LONG bloom time this year. And I loved it!

Brrrrr! I had to be out, only for a few minutes twice today. Its cold. Sun is probably warm now, but the wind ruins it. The furnace guy was here, for routine maintenance and I moved my car out to the street. Then I had to get it back to the house...again...brrrrr!

Tom's asleep on the coffee table, I think a nap would be great myself. Just not on the coffee table!

Nothing exciting today. Later I will ride my bike, and maybe also do weights here at home. Tomorrow I see my chiro...they're gonna miss me....bet they call! :) gotta really like those kids.

Hope your day goes well. Have you seen white tail tipped kitty again? Just curious. Its kinda late for the local tom's to be out looking for a girl friend... I hope nobody's moved off and left him or dumped him off..Too cold to be a strange kitty in a strange place.

Giggle, giggle...Somewhere in Peachtree Corners Ed is typing away, and getting todays group of interesting photo's ready for us.
    And I got here first!!!
    Doesn't happen often.
I get to go to Decatur today and see my Chiro. Its been 2 months, and I'm still in really decent shape for an old lady.
It got really cold yesterday. Cold enough I didn't go out. Did my exercise thing here with my own equipment. I really rather go to the gym...get to see my buddies there. Most likely won't happen til Thursday.
    Not much else is new.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! I've actually been up since about 5:30 this morning, but distracted by this, that, and the other. I have been out to Aldi and picked up some nice, hearty, seasonal soups from Europe, along with some chunky soups more like the Campbell's brand. And of course I picked up a bunch of other stuff too.

I have some beef going in a slow cooker that may end up being beef with noodles, or, possibly, if I add some potatoes, peas, and carrots later, some kind of beef stew or soup. We will see later what it ends up as.

Now it's time to go in the kitchen and figure out lunch.
