Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! It should be a warm day with lots of sunshine, and no chance of rain. I may take a walk today. The dishwasher is running now, but not much else on the agenda.

    Good Morning Ed1
Emmy makes Oreo rice!! LOL! I love Oreo's and they are vegan...also so lousy with ?????ingredients that just reading the label has had me putting the Oreo package back on the shelf!
I may add Oreo's to my Tuesday grocery list.
Yes, today should be beautiful. I think I need to be outdoors for awhile this afternoon.
I did walk with Ted and Maya yesterday...to the end of the street and back..not a long walk, but good to be out anyhow.
I fixed a Chinese stir fry last night. One of those grab from the refrigerator kind. I did season my little bit of oil with garlic and ginger added green pepper, broccoli, onion, mushrooms, and stir fried adding the cornstarch slurry and a bit of dry sherry at the end. Also a few 'shakes' of toasted sesame oil to finish it off. So good! There were left over fried veggies, so I will have them for lunch or dinner. Won't be as crispy as last nights entree, but will be good none the less! What I left out last night was the tofu I'd pressed. Duhhh. So today part of that block will become a scramble, and the other 'smaller half' will be cubed and added to the stir fry veggies. Along with some 'crushed' peanuts. (one day I will remember to buy another big container of cashews from Costco.)

    Later...

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! It should be a warm day with no chance of precipitation. A little house cleaning may be on the agenda.

Howdy all y'all. It's superlative Sunday! It should be another warm day with no chance of precipitation. I will probably take a walk. I may see if I can get J to come along this time. I have been the only one getting off the property at all for the last two or three weeks, though J did at least get outside in the yard and driveway, as we have moved most of the plants back outside, that had been in the garage for the winter.

I think I am going to make a large Crock-Pot meatloaf today. When I get into the kitchen Eduardo may have other ideas though. LOL.

    Hi Ed!
I've only been to Publix on Tuesday mornings for the past 2 weeks. I have walked once or twice a day with Ted and Maya on their short walks...(0.2 miles) and finally saw a neighbor out yesterday afternoon. But, not ready to start singing 'Oh Lonesome Me' just yet. I do try to get outside if only to sit with a cup of afternoon tea...just for the fresh air, and to see what's blooming.
The 'gardener' just stuck his head in, and wants his mother's opinion..Wooza! Will put on my 'Master Gardener' pin and go out to see what he's got in mind....LOL!!

My Crockpot meatloaf dinner and the Spanish style potato and chickpea stew Eduardo made for J.

I will be having meatloaf for a few more meals. J will have lunch tomorrow off the stew.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It's going to be a somewhat hot one in Peachtree Corners. I got out early and made it to "senior hour" at Kroger to hoard...er stock up on a few things we were low on. I promise I didn't really hoard anything, buying only to bring stock up to what we usually keep on hand. I read that the adminstration is suggesting we not even go out for groceries for the next two weeks. We MAY run out of Puffs facial tissue, but we have a few boutique boxes of Kroger brand and we will manage. We probably won't run out of the Puffs anyway, as we just opened the last two boxes. I forgot to put that on my shopping list so didn't think of it at Kroger and I sure am not going back just for that, when we can get by without it.

Not a lot on the agenda today. I may consider my Kroger trip to be my walk. I will decide later on that.

I don't really get the need for a microwave ramen cooker, but guess for a dorm it might be handy? But what's wrong with just using a bowl?

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! I can hear birds singing out there. It's supposed to get to 80 today with 20% chance of precipitation. I may take a walk, depending on how it looks when I have finished all my tea and fed the cats.

    Leftover meatloaf for breakfast.

I did take my walk. A fairly long one in fact. I did stop in our own yard for a few pictures though.

And, though it's NOT IN OUR YARD, a cat I saw on my walk. That cat looks a lot like our Kiara.

And at first glance, that cat looked like the face of a panda!! Till I got to that left ear...now that is unmistakably a cat!!! LOL!

    Good Morning Ed.
I was up early, did my shopping in 50 minutes, put all my goodies away, ate my oatmeal, drank my coffee and went back to bed. Slept for a very short time, and finished putting the outside pieces to frame the next puzzle! We'd worked on it for awhile last night, so my contribution today was not exactly 'earth shaking'.

Your Weigela puts mine to shame! I will have to go out and 'talk' with mine!! And that little dogwood with the sad little bloom. Its trying to be better & bigger. Wonder how it will look next year. My two 'volunteers' aren't even trying to bloom. Next year, its bloom or be replaced.

Paper towels were about non-existant this morning. I still have 2 rolls, so hopefully later this month there will be some Bounty rolls! Or I may need to check out Kroger. Or this could be the perfect excuse for learning to go 'paper-less'...hmmmm.

I missed the walk to the creek today with Ted and Maya, but I'll catch them this afternoon, and also the last night walk. Meanwhile, I need to hit the bike. ugh!

Hope your day is going well. Mike seemed a little more upbeat in last nights post. Was glad to see that.

Later..., remember, Happy, Healthy, and stay safe!!

Try Target, CVS, or Walgreen's for paper products too! Though I got my last paper towels in a lucky moment at Publix...

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! It looks like another warm one with 20% chance of precipitation. Not much on the agenda today. Maybe some housework, and definitely Lilo's Wednesday fluid treatment. Breakfast was bacon, eggs (with cheese), and whole grain, high fiber, low carb toast, buttered. Wow, that toast description is a mouthful.

Just for a giggle, here's how we all should be receiving deliveries now. Well...sort of.

    Good Morning Ed.
Not sunny and bright, but temperature wise its very pleasant outside. Ted took a photo of a rose bud and air dropped it to me....a quick look and I asked if there were little green or white 'bugs' on that plant. Yep...so me mixed up a batch of Insecticidal Soap, and went spray, spray, around the yard.
So, that's the exciting news from here. We're working another jigsaw puzzle, and trying to maintain a civil attitude!! LOL!. Sometimes we don't agree on something, and that's OK. Sometimes he is so uber helpful, like last week when the toilet 'innards' broke, etc. Today he went to Publix, and found the tofu and the paper towels that were not there yesterday when I went.

Right now he and Maya just left for their 'long' walk...so I'm heading for 'Maya's room' and the recumbent bike. Maya does not like that bike! She gets up from her bed and leaves, so I try to use it when she's not at home...

    So...

Oh, I was at Publix Tuesday morning. Ted went this morning, Wednesday, and snagged Bounty towels, and 'squeezable' Charmin TP. So we are good.
News on TV, Gov. says we'll shelter in place til the end of April. Its gonna be a very l .o. n. g month! And again, no gym.
Short walk with Maya around 4 this afternoon....I'm not getting enough exercise. and 'no gym' is not going to help.
Right now, i"m going to grab some dinner...sandwiches...not really very hungry.
    See you in the morning...

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! We got some rain during the night, but today is supposed to be warm, partly cloudy, and 20% chance of rain. Yesterday I didn't walk because it seemed like it was about to rain, though it never really got more than misty until fairly late. Maybe I will have better luck today. We will see.

Need to do a little housework maybe...so far all I have eaten is some steel cut oatmeal with blueberries and cream.

Well I give up! I just couldn't find your Friday post....I saw the new recipe's, etc..but no post. Well, I thought, that is really odd.
Finally, figured out it was only Thursday...so I'm guessing I'll see Friday post tomorrow! :)

Nice out today. Hope you get your walk in. Waiting for Maya to wake, and go for a walk with her. Then I'd best be thinking about dinner. I have no idea. All kinds of food in the refrigerator, just nothing jumps out and grabs my taste buds.

Watched the video of the 'magic' brownies. Looked like the brownies had lost their 'Magic'!!
    Hate it when that happens!

Post was interrupted by a dog walk. Windy out there! I could have used a hair clip or three!

Going to make an escape tomorrow...need cat litter, cat food, and flea stuff for cat!! WOW! Taking out a loan. LOL!!!

See you tomorrow on that 'other' Friday.

This is my Friday post! :)

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! Cool today with no chance of precipitation. With the low humidity and strong winds, they have issued a "red flag" warning for the county, so restrictions may be in place for outdoor burning. The warning includes the Chattahoochee and Oconee national forests, but I don't imagine there are too many people camping or hiking today.

Our brilliant governor did re-open state parks and beaches, but I hope not many people are going to those areas. And I absolutely don't understand how he can insist on "no non-essential travel" but open the parks and beaches! Since when is going to a state park or beach essential? And how well will people really maintain proper social distancing if they do go?

I do understand that it might be pleasant to get out for a picnic, for families who have been stuck at home, possibly in an apartment or relatively small house, but one doesn't know who last touched that water fountain, or whatever else you might touch, or WHEN they last touched it and it just doesn't make medical sense to me that he is letting, nay ENCOURAGING people to go there.

I do get out, most days, for a nice walk, depending on the weather. This may be helping me remain sane in the midst of this insanity. J has been working from home and, in the off times, working on little projects and watching youtube. I usually walk in the mornings, while J is either working or, on the weekends, sleeping in, but would welcome the company on my walks. To be fair, I would have to slow down, and perhaps not walk as far, for J to keep up...

I read a meme on FaceBook, shared (and questioned) by one of my brothers in law, where a person was claiming that since the projected death toll is now at about 60,000 this virus is about the same as the flu. The person didn't give a number for the flu, though a little research popped up the number 56,000 in some hits.

BUT...this person didn't take into account that the only reason the current projection has been lowered to 60,000 is that we have instituted severe quarantines and social distancing measures, which has not been done in recent times for the flu, and if we relaxed all that, the number would likely skyrocket and there would be a lot more deaths.

IN ADDITION...this person did not take into consideration the fact that the number for the flu was for flu or "flu related" and "flu-like" causes, including pneumonia that came on after the flu weakened a person, and including other illnesses with flu-like symptoms that were not necessarily the flu. From what I have researched, it seem like an accurate count for verified actual deaths caused directly by flu (in the U.S.) is more like three or four thousand per year.

This current corona virus seems much more deadly, and I read about scary cases where someone feels fine, then has a headache, then a fever, and in very short order (like a few days) dies.

I don't want to be an alarmist, but about the same as flu? If I could believe that, I'd be happier, but I don't buy that and am choosing to remain as safe as possible.

I hope all y'all stay as safe as possible too! Sorry to be so verbose this morning...some of the insanity I see happening is upsetting.
