Hi all. That screaming boss had told me to move hours I spent on a certain project to his numvy, sobi did. Then he got mad and told me im restricted to 8 hours per week on that project. I explained why it needs time and he doesn’t care. I was so stressed that I cried and had one of my gusher bloody noses. I’m planning for my ulcer athernia surgery in July. I don’t want to change employers before then. Stress level went to high today because of this boss.
I haven’t had a Mac since 1989. Em wanted it. We set it so everything is backed up to the cloud.

Good morning!
Goodness Roger, Bless you for walking. The temps here are mostly like Val's..We are having a few days of below freezing. And of course everything is in full bloom. The rains have knocked off most of my blueberry blossoms it was so heavy. The freeze may finish off most of the rest. The peach trees down here are at risk too, having bloomed somewhat early due to the highs being in the 70's a lot of days. Some farmers have smudge type pots and other ways to deal with it, but not all.
I wonder what impact this freaky weather will have on fruit prices later this year ?
I wonder how much help the smudge pots really do.The tornadoes that caused the damage mostly missed me..We were under a tornado warning but it must have been radar indicated and did not drop. The same cell caused minor damage in Tuscaloosa but strengthened to that Ef4 monster that hit near Opelika, which is about 65 miles east of me. I was not aware of that till the following morning as when we were all clear, I did not check the news as all storms had blown thru for us. That is when I miss cable the most. For some reason the sites I usually check were not as forthcoming as usual on computer or radio. We had plenty of warning, as well as a heads up days in advance to be careful on Sunday. The places it hit were small with little community shelter. I heard there was a 15 minute warning, but my daughter heard only like 5 minutes. If the town's people were tracking it should have provided warning, but like I said...the town is small with lots of trailers. I doubt most people would have gotten out of town to stay in a better equipped place. My house has poor shelter and while I shelter..I do not leave. Then up against an EF4..you are pretty screwed...
EF4 is a bad one and they said on the news here that it was a 1/2 mile wide too. I am thinking of dumping a lot of the cable bill, it just went up $8 from the last bill to this one With one Cable Box and Broadcast Basic that alone is $50, Are they kidding me ?I had skipped church Sunday due to the weather. It was silly but I did not not want to leave May. At least church people down here find it silly. Val would get it!! I felt less guilty after hearing the damages because it could have been us. I think, and weatherman agree my area is the new tornado alley. It is shifting east and creating an area every bit as dangerous as the midwest..
I am not as fond of coconut flour as I am almond flour. I do not want the coconut flavor unless it is a certain pork type or Hawaiian, maybe Thai type dish. But if I have a taste for it. I do find it yummy. Val, congrats on the weight loss and better days!! I hope all friends and you improve health-wise!!
Take care!! Jan..
A new Tornado Alley, hmm... Not good. I believe most parts of the Midwest in the tornado Alley have Storm Shelters.
Congratulations on staying strong

You have a terrible Boss, It makes me wonder how he got that high in the company and if it was due to leaving footprints on the backs of those under him and a certain skill in taking credit for others work and passing the blame to others for failures, that type does exist unfortunately.
I have never had a Mac, Only IBM PCs going back to the days of Dos 2.x.
That is good news about Your friend, Try and get some rest, I do not like them but maybe it is time to use a sleeping pill now and then. I am using a 5mg Melatonin before bedtime, it seems to help.
Congratulations on staying strong with the food, Stress can be a trigger to a See Food Day of eating

Good morning!!
Amazing what we did as kids compared to today's kids..I feel sorry for them!!
Am I that out of the loop for prices?.. My daughter has to pay about $900.00 dollars a month for a 2 bedroom apt. here. On her salary teaching, she barely has enough to payback student loans and eat. She buys really cheap and is frugal with bills and phone. That price a month for San Fran is just ridiculous...I am sure I have said it before, but I always thought I was middle class and now I am the poor, not the poorest of the poor but poor and getting poorer..Gee.. Yes! so glad I am not there...Small wonder personal and US debt is so bad...
The relaxer for May for her leg was about 50 dollars. Her heartworm was about 100 dollars, one pill a month for 6 mos. She has to always be on that. Sixteenish dollars a pill may not be much but they sell 6 at a time. The rest was taxes at 10%. I need to do a budget per month and save up instead of taking from savings..Everyone makes stuff so hard though it seems...
I messed up yesterday. I wanted nachos with real taco chips. I should have just got a small bag from the deli but they only had Doritos, which I love. But I wanted Restaurant type. I bought a bag from the chip aisle, mostly due to its small size. While not real small at least it was not the large size I can eat at one sitting. It had lots of fiber and little sugar. Due to the fiber the carbs was reduced some. I did NOT notice there were still 5 portions, at 130 calories, making it healthy due to ingredients, but not due for consumption with too many servings still. It was a chip made with white northern beans. Not bad,but not quite what I was after. And yes, the fiber got me this morning, as did the gas last nite and this am from the bean product..I should have REALLY walked back to the deli.. I can be so dense sometimes.. Setback of 2 lbs. Being keto today...
So sorry to hear of the cold your way and the snow. At least you might stay home and thereby save money..Always a good thing. This cold spell seems just brutal for all of northern U.S.!!
Take care!!! Jan1 -

When I was walking today I noticed that most of the roads had been brined, Does our town know something that was not showing in yesterdays forecast or are they being over cautious.

Just for the heck of it I looked online and prices were lower than what You paid, Amazon,
I used the Microsoft Search Engine, Bing.com and for example that shows Chewy.com with a price of $37.90 for 6 treatments for dogs in the 51 to 100 pound range. Petco and Walmart showed up as lower too, Amazon prices were all over the place.
I do not think You are out of the loop with prices. The problem with San Francisco is that the law of supply and demand has kicked in and there is very little supply and a lot of demand.
The Push to enact $15 a hour minimum wage all over the place will have an impact on anyone with a fixed income. There is no way that will not cause a reduction in service and a increase in prices. I remember reading about a bookstore In San Francisco that pushed for that to happen and then when it happened they ended up out of business due to the increased cost of staff.I messed up yesterday. I wanted nachos with real taco chips. I should have just got a small bag from the deli but they only had Doritos, which I love. But I wanted Restaurant type. Beans will do that to You as will some of the Sugar Alcohols in the NS foods.
My problem is that I am developing a craving for a nicely cooked one pound Rib Eye Steak If I do order it I hope I can make myself split it into two meals and substitute Vegetables for the Potato Options. as I remember it the potatoes are usually a large portion of Mashed or French Fries or maybe Home Fries all of which are bad for my Blood Sugar levels.
Fortunately the below average temps are coming to a end for a few days the weekend.
Have a Good Day

I hope You are saving those emails at home just in case. I also hope You are wrong about being setup by this person and I use the term person loosely.
That is a shame any reason why the return ?
I am not surprised that a mama dog and pups were dumped. The class of people out there is on the decline. The other reason is that around here the news has reports of family attacking or killing family members. If the will do that to family, no surprise that they could dump a dog

Charlie was returned because “he’s terrified of women. He immediately cries and pees when he sees a woman. He must have been beaten by a woman previously.” The man said he travels frequently so the kids and dog are always with his wife. Um, im a woman...he won’t stay off my lap, he follows me like a puppy and runs to me if loud noise. Hasn’t pottied at all...even in the yard. He loves Em (a young woman) and Mary (a 30yo woman).
I have never met that family, but i think it is that mom. I went to pet the top of his head and he cowared. Sobi pet under the chin and he’s happy as can be. He’s underweight and was ravenously hungry at dinner. Guarded his bowl. Granted, I’m overweight and I’ve been ravenously hungry today. I’d probably look like I’d bite if someone tried to steal my food.1 -

Two thoughts came to mind.
One is that was the wrong family, Underweight makes it pretty definite not the right family.
two is to wonder if when the husband was not around the wife was abusing him ?
I had that problem with being ravenous Friday, I an not sure what it was from, If I knew I could avoid it happening again.

Oh, Oh I see it now that 38 total carbs is for the entire recipe and not for one serving so it likley is keto.

They had adopted Charlie on spur of the moment...at an adoption event when I wasn’t there. This litter was completely feral until 8 weeks and we knew they needed someone to reach out to them to build that relationship. I had him for one week before he went to live with them. Roger—I really do wonder what the wife was doing when husband wasn’t home.
Since Charlie is perfect with me, i wanted to see him in public. Petsmart was scary to him. He wouldn’t walk at all...so i carried 22 pounds around the store, setting him down when I needed my hands. He growled at one lady just walking by. I apologized and said he’s just been surrendered and he’s afraid of everything. Another lady was kind and patient with him. He didn’t growl or pull away, but just neutral.
Earlier in the day, i left him home with the doggos for one hour. He was frantic upon my return, as if he thought I abandoned him.
I really don’t think he’s been around people at all.1 -

Hi
I'm home and did not go walking and thus no money was found. The reason is a combination of the rain and the Clock change to Daylight savings time leaving me tired. I suspect a nap this afternoon The Temperature out the door was 35 degrees. The was in the forecast for overnight into Sunday has arrived. The Total amount forecast for where I am is 0.9 inches.
I can hear off and on heavy rain hitting the house, not to mention a breeze that sets the Bird feeder swinging.

I really don’t think he’s been around people at all.
Spur of the moment rarely works in my opinion. When I need to make a decision I think about it and usually defer it for a day or two.
Ouch carrying 22 pounds around, not having been to one don't they have shopping carts ?
I wonder if a persons odor could be contributing to that reaction, maybe a perfume smell ?
Frantic after only an hour, how will he handle your absences at work. That family really does not sound like they were suitable, FWIW do You have a Blacklist for potential adoptees that others can check against or is there no need for anything like that.
Have Restful Day

Poor Charlie!! Needs some time and TLC!!
Good recipes Roger!! And interesting posts!!
Got to go to my Granddaughters B-day, Good day!!
Hope you all spring ahead, lol... Church will come too early, lol... Take care!! ...Jan
You had to mention rain and here is is
Next stop after posting this is looking at news and weeding out the dreck and political crud. I am so tired of the political junk, I wish they would just stick to reporting the news neutrally instead of adding there own opinions and using them as news. They should start doing more research before piling onto a story. As examples the jussie smollett hoax and the students wearing the MAGA hats and the American Indian that were not doing what all the news reported a while back
I ran across this recipe (Welsh Cakes Recipe KETO 🏵️ Low Carb Dessert made in Cardiff) and the preview image looked really tasty so I posted it and the carbs look good to me also. I posted it early so I could close the video. YouTube videos slow down my browser as they make it use a lot of the CPU. Why I do not know unless they changed the Codec used in them, They never used to do that last year.
I wish they would just leave either Daylight Standard time or Daylight Savings time year round and stop the madness of Springing ahead and falling back. Now that the change is upon us drivers that were driving to work early in daylight are back into the dark. I may have to set the alarm clock for tomorrow or just start walking later when there is more traffic and hence more traffic noise.
Enjoy Your Granddaughters Birthday.

Em and i went out today and Charlie missed us but wasn’t upset like the first time. I work from home so that’s not an issue. Tomorrow Em and I will be gone all day...driving to Corpus Christi to look at the university. He’s delightful to live with. With each day he’s getting more playful and confident. He’s great at fetch. Our weather was below freezing then jumped to 90 degrees. Supposed to rain tomorrow. I wish we could take Charlie with to the university. But no dogs allowed in buildings.1

Good morning!
The more you talk about Charlie, Val,the gladder I am he is not with those people!! That weather sounds way crazy, much worse than ours!! Hope you and Em enjoy your day!!
Love the Wesh cake chick. Happy thing she is, and interesting accent. I hear mostly Welsh guys with more brogue, though she has it too. Just different and interesting.
Marathon Day (church...)... I am beat. And with you about that time change. Just ridiculous . I say split the difference and lets pretend that is the time!!
Be careful walking!!!! Yep, it is sure Monday, lol... ...Jan1 -
I just posted more humor, enjoy
Hi
I'm back home from walking and One 5 cent coin was found. The Temperature out the door was 41 degrees. The forecast for a 5 day stretch of nice weather has started this morning. Things are drying up.
