    I just posted more humor.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 58 degrees at the time I left for my walk. I did see one Deer, They are so unafraid that I can usually get within 50 feet before they move and even then they only move a little way.

I was afraid that I might have damaged my Diet yesterday with the 0.6 pounds of Spare Ribs on top of my regular meals, However I was down this morning so Whee ! The Spare Ribs had a sprinkling of some dry topping, however they tasted like Roast Pork and were so tender that the meat fell off the bones cleanly and I did enjoy them. I did not weigh the bones to see what the net weight of the Pork was.

Almost all dogs need anesthesia for teeth cleaning. My salad included chickpeas and feta; the spaghetti had turkey. I hope that story about fining robo callers is true...so annoying!
    Hi Val
I have heard that some people need it for teeth cleaning too, I never have although I will say it is hard holding my mouth open that long

I like both of those, The Chick Peas AKA Garbanzo beans and the Feta Cheese. The Diner used to put Feta in their salads and then it stopped :(

Turkey Chunks or as a Turkey Meatball ? My preference would be as Meatballs

I have seen that happening several times lately, They can of course only do it to operations in the USA. I call it true, It seems to be working somewhat as far as I can tell, Knock Wood
Beyond annoying, I hate them disturbing me even though my brother and I both do not answer numbers we do not recognize.

    Hi!

Val, you are doing so great! What a day you had!!

Wish we had your weather, Roger. Lots of thunderstorms and maybe a little less hot as the sun goes down. Very humid!

Did well on keto at church. Just did dishes(wash and dry) as I bypassed about 40 luscious casseroles and 40 desserts and just tables of stuff. We were celebrating 20 years in the new location. My small group are supportive of me eating no carbs,( except for my green beans!- I can have that!!)... :) We shall see!!

    Hang in there!! ...Jan

The spaghetti was prepared by my friend’s hubby. It was ground turkey (like you’d make taco meat) with tangy sauce. Yesterday (Sunday) I worked 10 hours. I finally caught up with some changes from a couple weeks ago. The puppies are darling. We have one adoption app in for Lexi. Doing a home check Wednesday. Sunday we have an adoption event. It will be busy! We’ll have 5 puppies, their mom, another adult dog, and a snow cone booth. Hoping for nice weather.

I am seeing more Halloween Decorations while walking, that started on the 29th of Sept.

    Hi Val
For me Taco meat would be Ground Beef, not Turkey, in most cases Turkey has to be handled carefully or it can be dry. Simmering it in Tomato Gravy should help with that.

Worked on the Job ? If so yuck.

Good Luck with the Adoption event and the Weather

    Good morning!

Val, those pictures of the puppies are again so cute! Hope all goes well too at the adoption event and walk thru. Sounds like you have your hands full, luckily with cuteness!! :) Your meal sounded really good!

Envy you your nicer weather,Roger. Sounds wonderful! Summer is hanging in here. Makes fall difficult, lol!

I was visiting a friend in a town about 1/2 hour from here. I had a pile to do and was tired from the week end. She had called and we talked about an hour before we made plans on the time to meet. So did not get anything done besides getting ready to go, lol...We ate Chinese and I did well. No fried anything, rice, or noodles. Just some meat, broccoli, chicken skewers and ribs, somewhat blotted because of the marinade or glaze. Jenny said I was brave, eating keto at a Chinese place! :D I did not get home till after dark, something I rarely do as I do not like driving a distance in the dark anymore. Better than expected...I only had trouble seeing about a mile from home where they neglect keeping the roads painted well. or at all, lol!

I even forgot to check in one day on the site here as I finally made it, but it was after midnite. back to day one...

    Interesting articles..still catching up.

This week is wild too. Supper out today,, a birthday lunch for friend on Weds. and a dinner at Faulkner U. on Thursday where someone was kind enough to donate from my small group and we got $165.00 a plate tickets. Free for us. The speaker is Tony Blair, ex prime minister of England. LOL, I am not posh..need to find something to wear!

Lest I forget, New Jersey has raised the Motor Fuel tax by another 4.3 cents Monday morning for a second increase in two years :(
Gas tax collections have fallen behind for two years now, precipitating Gov. Phil Murphy's administration to announce Thursday that it is raising the motor fuel tax 4.3 cents, bringing state taxes on a gallon of gasoline sold in New Jersey to 41.4 cents -- the ninth-highest of any state.
This follows a whopping 23-cent-per-gallon increase passed by the state Legislature and signed into law by then-Gov. Chris Christie in 2016.

WhooHoo, The replacement for My original iPod arrived Yesterday and even now is plugged in and content has been loaded, I am just waiting for it to finish charging.

The form letter which is what the letter looked like, I say form letter as it is headed Dear Apple Customer stated that the one I sent in was toast. In nicer terms of course.
The way they said it was After Thorough Diagnostic testing, it has been determined that a replacement Apple iPod product is necessary. Enclosed you will find the replacement product.
They shipped it standard overnight via FedEx. They got the old one Monday and sent the replacement the same day, Whee. Despite being in a Cardboard box it does appear to be a new one or in as new condition. The Old one suffered a failed port where the charging/Sync cable plugs in. Since I have a spare bought when Apple said they were discontinuing them I was able to keep on walking and listening

    Good morning!!

I echo Roger's sentiment, Val!! Hope you get some rest and down time soon!! <3

I have been too busy this week. Although still very low carbs, my running tends to make for slightly higher carbs as little ones add up. I hit a 30 gram carb day and would rather it was 20-24 grams. Not bad though. Interesting about the Chinese Restaurants. My favorites are not the ones i can eat, too! :#

I doubt I will be eating the bread, potato or dessert at this dinner. Hopefully I will be sitting with some carb eaters who can indulge in mine too. I can eat salad and meat, lol!! May need to eat something before I go! I did have some lovely eggs in butter and bacon for brunch!! :)

I have to go for a parathyroid test Friday...I may actually have some of Friday and Sat. home. ---Praise the Lord!!

    Hi Jan
I agree the little ones add up to be way to many in my case. I tried the Egg Foo Young from one of the local Chinese Takeout / Eateries as it is supposed to be low carb. It was tasty with the Gravy, It could have been Low Carb, OTOH it came with a delicious tasting Brown Gravy that was around 3/4 of a pint and I used it all :#
BTW the Egg Foo Young came as three pancake looking things stacked up.

What I tend to do is either get the Potatoes in a doggy bag and give them to my brother to use. I would have cooked the bacon crispy than diced it and cooked it into the eggs and likely cooked the eggs in the bacon fat rather cooking in butter. I find that butter burns to easily and since both butter and bacon fats are a fat, what the heck, use the free bacon fat

Yikes, More testing ? No rest for the weary it seems.

That should make eating well easier. 250+ people is a lot to feed and accommodate.

I thought that it was nice and quick. If I had gotten it off Wednesday I think that they would have received it Friday and shipped Friday, Oh Well. It works well and I am using the replacement iPod for my walks.
Now I need to figure out how to download the three free Audiobooks from Audible (Amazon). Free is a misnomer too as they are one a month with the subscription to the service.

Wish Me Luck, I think I will be on the phone to them later on to learn what I am doing wrong

Work is like a full blender on high with no lid. One puppy getting returned so I’ll have 3. No rest for the wicked. I hate tourists who trash nature! That completely pisses me off. No time to read, except the headlines.
    Hi Val
I am sorry to hear that, I hope non of it splatters in Your direction. Too bad on the returning puppy too :(

The dumbest person should know better, It make me wonder what the inside of their cars and homes look like, They will likely be either spotless since the throw their trash everywhere but home or likewise for their cars or really messy. I suspect 50% for each of those outcomes.

That is one reason I put the headlines in clear text with the links.

    Have a Good Day
