I shall be posting more new humor shortly

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 52 degrees and comfortable due to the low humidity and breeze. I did of course put on a long sleeve shirt and light gloves.

Thursday I tried the Moo Shu Beef as it was listed on websites as one of the low carb Chinese Dishes. Tasty and the four thin pancakes looked and when I sampled one tasted like a flour Tortilla. Where I blew it was by forgetting to tell them hold the rice. Since I had the rice I ate it :(

Good day at work. Sad day for my dog-rescue friend...had to put down her 14 year old dog. Continual seizures and unable to stand. Taking Lucky to another adoption event tomorrow. I’m really in love with the little dude. He needs to find an awesome home.
    Hi Val
Good day at work is good news.

I'm sorry to hear that, Bad news.

Good Luck at the adoption event. A shame since You are in love with Lucky that You can not adopt him.

    Hi!

Glad you had a good day at work!! You are way do for several!! So sorry about your friends dog..they are family and it hurts accordingly. Sometimes worse...maybe she will fall in love with Lucky...though it is too soon..even if she would get another dog. :(

Just a dumb day.. accomplished nothing. Finally had the time and energy to wrap my Christmas box to Honduras...late..went up there and everyone had gone home early for Friday..Rotten drive with rotten drivers..I will have to take it to church on Sunday along with my guest lunch. It is an extra trip to the opposite side of the building, so not looking forward to all that lugging..never got to do some cleaning or bills. I did however go out with Jenny to Longhorn for some really good prime rib, salad, and broccoli. I asked for a little butter on the side, and got a melted herb butter to dip my broccoli in. Oh yum!! I am liking this diet, Over ate though, and I should have asked for a to go box. I really can not eat as much anymore. Pretty sure I will not eat again till after noon on Sat. I was holiday stuffed.

Have a good week end! ...Jan B)
    Hi Jan
Have You ever thought of getting a easy to use foldable rolling device to make moving things easy ?

I did get two meals out of the Moo Shu Beef, of course that was because I overate by eating the Rice that came with it, I tried heating the Thin pancakes and putting some of the Moo Shu in them, That worked too, however most of the four went into the garbage as they tasted flour based.

I have seen people put butter on a hot steak and I bet that is tasty too. Broccoli dipped in a butter sauce made with real butter and not the so called butter sauce that they use in frozen foods.

That is a new phrase to me, Holiday Stuffed

Exhausted from the adoption event. It was at Coldwell Banker realty. They were wonderful and welcoming and had collected dog-item donations for us. Few non-realtors were there, so no adoptions, but it was fun and we met nice people. The weather started with rain sovwe were inside. Then cleared up so we moved outside. Then rain and wind alternating with sun. I fall in love with every dog or pup i foster! I cry when they leave but I don’t let the knowledge of the pain sway me from loving them. Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 41 degrees and semi comfortable due to the low temperature. I switched to long walking pants and a sweatshirt from the walking shorts and long sleeve shirt.

Up to this morning I have been able in general to avoid running the AC and have not run the furnace since last spring except for a few seconds earlier in Late September to be sure it lit off when needed.
I turned on the heat before leaving the house for my walk to take the chill off of the house as it was 61 degrees.

    Good morning!

I had caffeine this morning..still not moving too fast! :#

Pretty tired from an incredibly long Sunday. Good, but tiring! I have stayed on my keto diet with a minimum of trouble. I was happy about that!! I was so busy I had not actually written down my foods since Thursday. I did not even realize. I have stayed below on all my points, but am back to day 1 again, lol... :*

Sorry no adoptions but still sounds like a good day. The right person will come along. Val, I bet you are tired!! <3

Roger, In the 40's, wow. I laughed as we had some 70 degree weather, and in the shade it seemed chilly- but so wonderful!! We are a little warmer again in the 80's for a few days. Mid Oct is a little early for snow. It will be an interesting winter!!

So much to do, I do not know where to begin. Having lunch, I feel I should nap, lol!!

So much for my burst of energy!!

Great keto lunch. I had a pork steak with breading made from almond flour, seasoning, and dipped in egg, then crumbs. It made a wonderful substitute for flour breading. I can add Parmesan cheese to it also, but I did not have any on hand. Also had cauliflower mashed potatoes with the ricotta cheese. Comfort food at it's best! Just have to watch my carbs for the rest of the day, as I used 1/2 my allowance already.

Interesting articles! Really related to the retired in poverty one. Really feeling the pinch this year of raising gas prices, food prices and health care...Discouraging...

Keep on trucking on the weight loss all!! Have a good day!! ...Jan

35 state attorneys general tell FCC to pull the plug on robocalls.
Last year, the FCC released the 2017 Call Blocking Order, which included rules allowing providers to block spoofed calls – as in, calls that pretend to come from consumers’ phones or, even more sneaky, from neighbors’ phones, with area codes that mirror their targets’ area codes. The order allowed providers to block calls from numbers on do-not-originate lists and from numbers that are invalid, unallocated, or unused.
But despite the Call Blocking Order, the robocall problem is only getting worse.

Interesting, was the pork steak one that was run through the same system as used for Cube Steaks or did You pound it thin or leave it as is ?

Almond flour, I would not have thought to do that, Were they any special seasoning(s) or just the usual Salt and Pepper ?

There were not a whole lot of interesting articles over the weekend once I threw out the Political ones and that is par for the course.

The news is saying I shall get a Whopping 2.8% increase in Social Security, Big deal, I suspect that as they have done in the past that will be mostly or entirely eaten up by a increase in Medicare cost.

The Increase in food costs and the yearly increase in The Medical supplement cost and the Part D Prescription costs are a real pain in the Wallet.

When the temperature changes happen to rapidly it can be hard adjusting to them. Hopefully Your weather goes back to normal quickly.

    Good morning!!

Weight loss on keto is a little slow after the initial loss. I did do measurements and lo and behold, I have lost some inches! That was really unexpected and nice! :)

The pork steaks I did had the bone in the middle and I left them as they were and just baked them. I added garlic powder, onion powder and dried parsley to the almond flour and it was tasty. I baked it on a flat cookie sheet to crisp, which it does by leaving it in as long as possible without being dry, of course. The almond flour maybe too calorie dense for a regular diet, but works well on the keto. So do the pork steaks which normally are fat marbled. I cut off anything too much in excess ( like the giant hunk of fat the size of an orange and they hid, and I had to pay for... :s ) and it is the perfect keto meat having both fat and protein at good levels, lol.

Val, your turkey and salad sounded good! I am so ready for turkey!! :# Glad you had another good day!! <3

Great idea writing the food down for input later,,,I also lose all my little notes, lol!!

I have been thinking of some cart to use.. Most I wouls stack which might be harder..than say some wagon type that I can pack on one level, lol..Still thinking!

That was my experience when I tried the Keto Diet too, BTW do You also use Keto Sticks ?

Smackfat Ketone Strips - Perfect for Ketogenic Diet and Diabetics - Precise Ketone Measurement and...

Were the Pork Chops the ones that look like small T-Bone steaks ?
Did You cook them low & slow or use a higher heat ?

Grocery stores Butchers are very skilled at hiding things when they package the meats. Roast Chicken or Turkey does not really need anything hidden so that is one of the few that is not deceptive in packaging. BTW that fat could have been tasty if Well crisped up and lightly salted.

I could pick up a 1/2 roasted turkey breast at the ShopRite once I finish using the Hamburgers I made with the $1.79 Ground Beef. I shaped them and put them on Foil lined Cookie sheets and baked them using all the Hamburger and them Packaged them and into the freezer.

For now the only carts I use are Shopping Carts  There are folding carts of course.

    Good morning!

I am okay with the slower weight loss, and was rewarded by losing 3 lbs this morning! I was blown away and happy. I guess hungry day equals a weight loss in a few days!! And I was not hungry for long as I had deviled eggs as my snack..It does kind of regulate itself, as I eat when I am hungry and eat till full. That is a huge change from constantly waiting for my next meal craving to just being satisfied..I love it!!

Your weather sounds really nice Roger! Now is when I miss the north, during fall! We are going to get to the mid 40's in a few days. Summer then cold, lol!! :D

Val, hope you are feeling better in a few days. I have had a sore throat, I am not sure if it is the weather changing. I did not see the flooding reports, but know you are on high ground!! :) Hopefully good!! :)

I rarely know the day and look it up all the time. Thank goodness it shows on my computer!!

I actually got a lot done the last two days but am rather behind today..stayed up a little late and forgot to set my alarm. I have not slept that long since I was a teenager on a good Sat.!! Even May was tuckered and slept. I feel so human!! :#

Crazy articles..and interesting!! Everyone have a good Friday!! ...Jan B)

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 36 degrees and more or less comfortable.
When I checked the Temperature in the house on my return form walking the Rooms where I can see the indoors temperature were all below 60 degrees so on the heat went, along with wondering why I did not turn the heat on before I left given the outdoors temperature.
