    Good morning.
Was supposed to see friends last night, but their daughter had a motorcycle accident in Honduras...yeah..yikes, so she was flying down to get the hospital and all straightened out. Scary stuff....it was a badly broken leg...from the sound of it, lucky it wasn't worse.
Good luck selling your house, Irene.
Roger, could just be the heat keeping you awake.
Jo, nice that you can nap.
Nice sunny day here. No plans yet for today.
    Have a good day, everyone.

    Good afternoon,
Vix-I am sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.
Roger-Maybe you should try not drinking anything after 6pm.
Irene-Do you have a motorized cover for the pool? It seems like a lot of work to do every day.
I just get one cat on the mend and the other one gets sick. Vinny's blood sugar has been spiking. The only thing
we have done differently is switch his cat food to a prescription kidney diet one recommended by the vet. I have been monitoring his blood sugar every 2 hours today and it is still in the 500's. Tonight I am going to up his insulin by 1/2 a unit to see if that makes a difference. Sophie's bumps are all gone and she goes for her blood test on Friday. Keep you fingers crossed that her #'s are good.
    Happy Sunday! :)

She went in for a simple cataract surgery. Doctors found 27 contact lenses in her eye

In a bizarre medical case, a British woman somehow had more than two dozen contact lenses in one eye but didn’t realize it.

The case, which was published July 5 in the British Medical Journal, has made international headlines after the ophthalmologist responsible for extracting the stack of contacts spoke to the media recently.

According to the BMJ, the case itself occurred back in November, when a 67-year-old woman went to the doctor for a “routine” eye surgery, Rupal Morjaria wrote.

When the surgery began, however, Morjaria and her fellow doctors extracted a “blue mass” of 17 contacts, all stuck together, according to Optometry Today. Later, the doctors found another chunk of 10 contacts, bringing the total to 27 contacts in one eye.

“None of us have ever seen this before,” Morjaria told OT.

“It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together. We were really surprised that the patient didn’t notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there.”

According to OT, the patient had been wearing monthly disposable contacts for 35 years but did not regularly go to the eye doctor and had no idea that many contacts were in her eye. Morjaria said the patient had credited her discomfort to old age and dry eyes.

“She was quite shocked,” Morjaria said. “When she was seen two weeks after I removed the lenses she said her eyes felt a lot more comfortable.”

It is unclear how long the woman had been living with the contacts in her eye. According to Piedmont Healthcare, the FDA recommends that even long-term wear contacts be removed overnight at least once per week to be cleaned and to allow the eye to take in oxygen. Wearing contacts too long can cause corneal damage.

Research Team Slams Global Warming Data In New Report: "Not Reality... Totally Inconsistent With Credible Temperature Data"

    by Tyler Durden
    Jul 15, 2017 9:00 PM
As world leaders, namely in the European Union, attack President Trump for pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement which would have saddled Americans with billions upon billions of dollars in debt and economic losses, a new bombshell report that analyzed Global Average Surface Temperature (GAST) data produced by NASA, the NOAA and HADLEY proves the President was right on target with his refusal to be a part of the new initiative.

According to the report, which has been peer reviewed by administrators, scientists and researchers from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), and several of America’s leading universities, the data is completely bunk:
In this research report, the most important surface data adjustment issues are identified and past changes in the previously reported historical data are quantified. It was found that each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history. And, it was nearly always accomplished by systematically removing the previously existing cyclical temperature pattern. This was true for all three entities providing GAST data measurement, NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU.
As a result, this research sought to validate the current estimates of GAST using the best available relevant data. This included the best documented and understood data sets from the U.S. and elsewhere as well as global data from satellites that provide far more extensive global coverage and are not contaminated by bad siting and urbanization impacts. Satellite data integrity also benefits from having cross checks with Balloon data.
The conclusive findings of this research are that the three GAST data sets are not a valid representation of reality. In fact, the magnitude of their historical data adjustments, that removed their cyclical temperature patterns, are totally inconsistent with published and credible U.S. and other temperature data. Thus, it is impossible to conclude from the three published GAST data sets that recent years have been the warmest ever –despite current claims of record setting warming.
Finally, since GAST data set validity is a necessary condition for EPA’s GHG/CO2 Endangerment Finding, it too is invalidated by these research findings. (Full Abstract Report)

Of course, this won’t stop global climate normalcy deniers from saying it’s all one big conspiracy to destroy the earth. They’ll naturally argue that data adjustments to the temperatures need to be made for a variety of reasons, which is something the report doesn’t dispute. What it does show, however, is that these “adjustments” always prove to be to the upside. Always warmer, never cooler:
While the notion that some “adjustments” to historical data might need to be made is not challenged, logically it would be expected that such historical temperature data adjustments would sometimes raise these temperatures, and sometimes lower them. This situation would mean that the impact of such adjustments on the temperature trend line slope is uncertain. However, each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history.

In short: The evidence has been falsified.
Karl Denninger sums it up succinctly:
It is therefore quite-clear that the data has been intentionally tampered with.
Since this has formed the basis for plans to steal literal trillions of dollars and has already resulted in the forced extraction of hundreds of billions in aggregate for motorists and industry this quite-clearly constitutes the largest economic fraud ever perpetrated in the world.
I call for the indictment and prosecution of every person and organization involved, asset-stripping all of them to their literal underwear.
The real data looks something like this:
    global-warming-data1
    global-warming-data1.jpg?resize=560%2C264
    (Via ZeroHedge.com)

And the establishment, along with their fanatical global warming myrmidons, continue to push the need for massive, costly initiatives to reduce green house gases and global temperatures to “normal” levels.
The problem, of course, is that there is no global warming according to the above referenced report.
Moreover, none of those supporting the Paris Climate Agreement and other initiatives have any idea what these behemoth regulations will actually do to curb climate change, as evidenced by the following video of Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, who despite his best efforts, can’t seem to figure out exactly how these agreements actually lower temperatures and help Americans:

I hope They had medical Insurance that cover international problems. The Medicare supplement I have does do that if I ever travel out of the country, I did not see a need for that, I was a part of the coverage I chose that covers everything Medicare does not cover, So I have it :)

    Good afternoon;
I have an appt. with the dermatologist today. It took so long to get the appt, that I no longer have any cysts under my arm. I have pictures on my phone, so I will show those to her.
Roger-sorry I don't have anymore suggestions for you on not getting up in the night.
I think I would know if I had more than 1 contact in my eye. I would also think it would distort her vision.
I have worn contacts and if you don't get them in right it can feel like you have a rock in your eye. Your eyes will also water.
Vinny's blood sugar should be under 200. When I get home from my appt. I am going to call the vet and see what they recommend that I do.
    Irene-good luck with Amazon.

I am past the point of caring about amazon I hope I can hang on until the 20 th but if not I will be ok with it . My knee is finally not hurting so I probably just won't go back it is not worth the chance of hurting my knee again it took me to long for it to heal. Well I am going to take Annie for a little walk.

I did see that, I also Know that there is Climate Change, However I also know that before there was man and civilization we had climate changes, Ice Ages where the ocean level dropped, and Global warming where the ocean Level rose and we had a inland Sea in the Western part of the USA.

Now if they could get the Large Polluters to clean up their act. Those being in most cases Communist Regimes such as China and Russia. We have already reduced emissions here in the USA, It is time for the rest of the world to do so too. That is an opinion of course.

44 percent of Americans have regrets about their current home or the process they went through when choosing it, a Trulia survey says.
Wishing they had bought a larger home was the top disappointment.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/'Allo_'Allo
'Allo 'Allo! is a BBC television British sitcom that was first broadcast on BBC One from 1982 to 1992, comprising 85 episodes. The story is set in a small-town café in German-occupied France during the Second World War. It is a parody of another BBC programme, the wartime drama Secret Army. 'Allo, 'Allo! was created by David Croft, who also wrote the theme music, and Jeremy Lloyd. Lloyd and Croft wrote the first six series. The remaining series were written by Lloyd and Paul Adam.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi-de-Hi!
    Hi-de-Hi! was a BBC television sitcom shown on BBC1 from 1 January 1980 to 30 January 1988.
Set between 1959 and the early 1960s in Maplins, a fictional holiday camp, the show was written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, who also wrote Dad's Army and It Ain't Half Hot Mum amongst other programmes. The title was the greeting the campers heard and in early episodes was written Hi de Hi. The series revolved around the lives of the camp's management and entertainers, most of them struggling actors or has-beens.
The inspiration was the experience of Jimmy Perry, one of the writers. After being demobilised from the Army, he was a Redcoat at Butlins, Pwllheli during the holiday season.
The series gained large audiences and won a BAFTA as Best Comedy Series in 1984. In a 2008 poll on Channel 4, Hi-de-Hi! was voted the 35th most popular comedy

Manufacturing Hate for 'Made in America'
    Michelle Malkin
    Posted: Jul 19, 2017 12:01 AM
It's "Made In America" week in Washington, D.C. You'd think this would be cause for bipartisan celebration. Who could be against highlighting the ingenuity, self-reliance and success of our nation's homegrown entrepreneurs and manufacturers?

    Enter Bill Kristol.

The entrenched Beltway pundit ridiculed a festive kickoff event on Monday at the White House, where President Donald Trump hosted companies from all 50 states to showcased their American-made products.

"Maybe it's just me," killjoy Kristol tweeted, "but I find something off-putting about turning the White House into an exhibition hall for American tchotchkes." (That's the Yiddish word for useless trinkets).

    "Tchotchkes"?

Tell that to the engineers at Hytrol, the Arkansas-based conveyor manufacturer that brought a mechanical display of its technology to the State Dining Room. Hytrol's late founder, Tom Loberg, started out as a gopher at an electronics parts factory during the Great Depression, worked his way up to designing Navy turbines, hydraulic pumps and cylinders, and entered the conveyor belt business after perfecting bag-transporting machinery for seed, grain and tobacco farmers.

Hytrol's state-of-the-art products are now used by companies ranging from Amazon.com to Office Depot to leading pharmaceutical, retail, food and publishing conglomerates around the world. A pioneer in the materials handling industry, Hytrol employs 1,300 high-skilled workers and will rake in revenues of more than $200 million this year alone.

    "Tchotchkes"?

Tell that to the employees of Wisconsin's Pierce Manufacturing, which displayed one of its 30,000 custom-built fire trucks on the White House front lawn. Pierce started out as an auto body shop operating out of a converted church and now boasts a 2,000-person workforce. The company produces the iconic aerial tillers, pumpers, tankers and rescue trucks driven by first responders across the country every day.

    "Tchotchkes"?

Tell that to Iowa-based RMA Armament's founder Blake Waldrop, a former Marine and police officer, who was inspired to manufacture stronger body armor after losing a comrade in Iraq to an IED attack. His ceramic plates, also featured at the "Made in America" event on Monday, have been purchased by police departments in Baltimore, Los Angeles and Waterloo, Iowa. Waldrop is working on partnerships to bring his products to the U.S. military and overseas.

"I always tell people I didn't invent armor any more than Steve Jobs invented the computer," Waldrop told the Des Moines Register earlier this year. "I just found a better way to do it, just like he did."

    "Tchotchkes"?

Delaware's ILC Dover participated in President Trump's "Made in America" exhibition, too. Its trademark trifling bauble? The space suit worn by every U.S. astronaut since Project Apollo. Prolific inventor-turned-industrialist Abram Spanel, a Russian-born son of Jewish garment workers, spun off the company from his giant latex conglomerate that manufactured everything from girdles and swimwear to canteens and lifeboats.

ILC Dover produced high-pressure suits and helmets for the Air Force before winning a contract to design suits for NASA. In addition to displaying spacesuits used on the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs, the company brought to the White House its DoverPac Flexible Isolator System used by pharmaceutical companies in their manufacturing processes; its Sentinel respirator used in the health care industry; and its SCape escape respirator used to protect U.S. government officials around the world from carbon monoxide, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear contaminants.

Could Trump and his family's own companies do better in hiring American and manufacturing in America? Sure.

To nastily deride the makers and job creators proudly showing off their wares in the nation's capital at the invitation of our commander in chief takes a special level of anti-Trump lunacy and arrogance.

"Maybe it's just me," Kristol snarked as he heaped scorn on "Made in America" week.

Yes, it is just you, Kristol, and the rest of your Beltway Swamp "schmendricks" who turn their noses at the "tchotchkes" that help save lives, move mountains and break barriers across the galaxy.

The rest of us give praise and thanks.

    Good afternoon;
Roger-I have watched 'Allo 'Allo! and we have some DVD's. It was a very funny show. I love all the shows that BBC airs.
Irene-good luck on the sale of your house.
Vix-It is so nice to have a clean house.
It is hot and humid here today.
Since I worked on Monday(which is usually my day off) I keep thinking today is Thursday. My routine is all out of whack.
    Have a good evening. :)

    Hi Joanne
have You also seen Dad's Army.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dad's_Army
Dad's Army is a BBC television sitcom about the British Home Guard during the Second World War. It was written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft and broadcast on the BBC from 1968 to 1977. The sitcom ran for 9 series and 80 episodes in total, plus a radio version based on the television scripts, a feature film and a stage show. The series regularly gained audiences of 18 million viewers and is still repeated worldwide.

I seem to lose track of the day of the week if something disrupts my daily routine too.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi all.
Roger...politics is crazy...Kristol is a die-hard Republican. Why is he criticising things made in America?
    Blah. Tired.
Sounds like a nice day, Irene. :)

    Good afternoon;
Vix-There is always one in the crowd. That is one of the reasons I don't watch the news that often.
    Irene-Enjoy your pool time.
Roger-I have heard of Dad's Army, but haven't seen any of the episodes.
It is hot and humid.I think I will stay in my air conditioned house this afternoon.

    Good morning.
Jo, that's the best idea...I try not to watch the news. Even seeing the headlines can be upsetting.
The town we're supposed to stay in on our vacation to Yosemite in Sept has been evacuated because of a wildfire.
My prescription has been lost in the mail.
It's not been a good week.
    TGIF!
