Roger, if you want to believe "news" leaked by Republicans to show that people who know how to do cost benefit analyses are wrong, then that's what you're going to believe.
Please cease from foisting your opinions on us. I think we should leave politics in all its forms out of our postings. I will also cease.
    Thanks.

My joints are still tight...I have to do some more icing and stretching. Chiro is on vacay for the rest of the week, and I will go back on Monday.
Roger, sounds like you have hard water that may be corroding your pipes. We had that in our last house. Had I known better, I would have put on a whole house water filter.
    Have a good evening, everyone.

    Hi Vix
I believe we do have something in the water since if I do not wipe it off of it leaves spots. OTOH it suds OK so I am not sure. It could have just been the material the pipe is made of.

The only thing I am sure of is that I am skeptical about everything I see form either party.

    Hi
I did some walking, The temperature this morning was 65 on the news channel and 64 degrees on the front porch. It
    is somewhat warmer than yesterday.

I have now mowed the weeds and grass :( Picked some blackberries. When they are ripe they just fall off into my hand and are sweet & juicy at that point, Much better that the ones from the supermarket :)

    Hi Vix
I worry that the country will not outlast me... Things are going wacky. I see almost daily reports on the local news of arguments that end in stabbings or shooting in the 5 boroughs of New York City. Then on Long Island MS-13 Gang violence :(

I have been trying to more or less steer clear of politics as much as I can. I see the multiple daily emails sent out by the DNC and conservative news so I think I see both sides ?

And a double post of humor today. The first one is by itself as it is a long one followed by 6 other images in the second post :)

    Hi
I did some walking, The temperature this morning was 73 on the news channel and 70 degrees on the front porch. It is Warmer and more humid than yesterday, I worked up a light sweat today :(
On my return I fixed the oven. I had guessed that the Baking Element had died since the Broil element was still working. We had observed that the Baking element had developed a Brighter than the rest of the element spot.
I ordered a replacement from Amazon for a little bit under $20. Remove two screws and unplug two wires after Turning off the Circuit breaker and double checking the Connectors with a Fluke meter and reversing the process and Voila it now glows a Nice orange again :)
Knock wood that it keeps working as the Cheap element is a Made in China Copy.

Social Media made him do it :)

Man drives 112 mph trying to do a Snapchat
ALPHARETTA, GA (WSB/CNN) - Police said a man's attempt to show off to his friends on social media landed him in jail.
Police said they pulled Malon Neal over Tuesday night after clocking him going 112 mph in a 65-mph zone.
Dash cam video showed an officer running radar on Georgia 400 Tuesday night when a car went flying by.
When the officer pulled over 28-year-old Neal, he made a stunning admission.
"The reason I stopped you is I'd love to see where you're heading in such a hurry," the officer said.
"I'm trying do a Snapchat. I'm not going to lie to you," Neal responded.
    "A what?" the officer questioned.
    "A Snapchat," Neal replied.
"We always like when people tell us the truth," George Gordon with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said.
Neal's candor coupled with that speed, landed him in cuffs.

"You're being placed under arrest for driving that fast man. Reckless driving. 112 mph in a 65. Can't be doing that, man," the officer said."It's reckless endangerment to the motoring public."
Cullen Chen was taking his street racer to a show when he was told about the arrest.
"I know people do that all the time trying to show off to their friends. That's just irresponsible," Chen said.
Chen's car can surpass 112 mph.
"When I hit it, it's not around people. I'm pretty safe about it. Never on Snapchat,” Chen said.

    Have a Great Friday

    Good morning;
I have had a rough couple of days. On Wednesday, I passed a kidney stone. Today, I had to have a renal ultrasound at 7:30 and then I went over to Dermatology to have a pre-cancerous mole removed from my leg. The lidocaine is just starting to wear off and my leg is sore. I have about a 4 inch incision. This afternoon I have to see the urologist.
The only good thing about this is that I get 5 days off from work.
Irene-I am glad your knee is better and good luck with Amazon.
Vix-I am glad you hip is feeling better.
Roger-Your knee bothering you may just be the aches and pains of getting older. I know for myself, I have something new aching all the time.
    Have a good day. :)

Roger, good job fixing the oven. :) I think we all get some sort of arthritis as we get older. It's good that we keep walking/moving.

I posted more humor, I loved the first image FWIW

    Hi
I did some walking, The temperature this morning was 72 on the news channel and 70 degrees on the front porch. It had drizzled before I left for my walk, The street was wet except under the trees. It also drizzled on me off and on while I was out walking.

I got semi lucky today, I checked three lottery tickets out of four, the fourth draws tonight. I did Cash in the lone winner for $35 after checking them.

I watched a hilarious episode of 'Allo 'Allo yesterday. I think I may start working on getting episodes of the British Comedy "Man About The House" converted from the DVD to a better format for my media Player.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_About_the_House
    Man About the House
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    1t3joL.jpg
Man About the House is a British sitcom starring Richard O'Sullivan, Paula Wilcox and Sally Thomsett, with Yootha Joyce and Brian Murphy, that was broadcast for six series on ITV from 15 August 1973 to 7 April 1976. It was created and written by Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer. The series was considered daring at the time due to its subject matter of a man sharing a flat with two single women. It was made by Thames Television and recorded at its Teddington studio in Greater London. It is regularly repeated on ITV3.

Two spin-off series were later made: George and Mildred and Robin's Nest. In 2004, it came 69th in a poll to find Britain's Best Sitcom. The series was remade in the United States as Three's Company in 1977. A film version was released in 1974.

    Hi Irene
Does the time spent waiting count towards Your vesting?

I saw the weather report that parts of Southern NJ had over 5 inches of rain, How are You doing this dreary looking Saturday?

I did a little shopping today, Since the ShopRite has their ready to use salads on sale and then using the key tag an extra 1 dollar off I made a early run there and bought two that are dated for August 1. Then I stopped at the Dollar Store and bought 2 quarts of 2% milk that can sit on the shelf until June 1, 2018 :) I like to keep a couple of spares on hand and I did put the last one in the refrigerator yesterday.

    Hi Vix
I hoped to avoid arthritis :) That is despite a prediction from the doctor that did my Knee surgery and Carpal Tunnel surgery many, many years back in the 80s of early 90s.

I just hope it keeps working, I bought the Chinese Knockoff based on reviews and since it was cheap and I was guessing at the part number. I never did find the exact model number for the oven anywhere including the makers website.

One thing I found that was strange is that it is called a 24 inch Built-In oven. Then in the installation instructions I looked at the opening is 21 5/16 inches, What the heck?

The cabinet it is in looks like Dad built it to replicate the example in the manual :)

    Stay Dry

    Good morning;
This is my last day off from work. I have been sitting out on the deck reading. It is a beautiful morning.
Today on the agenda is returning items to Target, the Vet for insulin for Vinny and a few other errands.
I was able to take a shower today and change the bandage on my leg.
We have a new clutch of baby birds in the bird house. My daughter and I sat and watched the parents going in and out to feed them yesterday. When the parents went into the house, the little birds would start to peep loudly.
    Enjoy your day! :)

    Hi
I did some walking, The temperature this morning was 66 on the news channel and 64 degrees on the front porch.
It was pleasant walking this morning.
Yesterday I fixed one of the showers. The Pipe that comes out of the wall to old the Diverter that diverts between the Shower Head and the Hand wand had corroded at the end where the diverter attaches and was leaking. I ordered a New Pipe and when I went to change it the pipe broke off at the fitting in the wall :( So I ordered a set of Easy Outs and they worked to remove the broken off end of the pipe. Some Teflon Tape on the new pipe to prevent leaks and all is now installed and working again.

Ferrari driver wrecks supercar just an hour after he bought it

Car one of only 499 ever built
Police believe excess speed not a factor
    David Reid | @cnbcdavy Friday, 28 Jul 2017 | 11:46 AM ET

A driver in the United Kingdom has destroyed his Ferrari supercar in an accident after owning it for just one hour.
Police in South Yorkshire said the driver was able to walk away with just cuts and bruises after the Ferrari 430 "went airborne and burst into flames" in South Yorkshire on Thursday.
    xWEh5E.jpg
It's unclear what he paid for the car, but it was one of only 499 ever sold with an original list price of $288,000. These cars currently fetch between $80,000 to $220,000 according to one dealer.
In a statement on Facebook police added: "Officers asked the driver what sort of car he 'had' to which he replied 'It was a Ferrari'."
"Detecting a sense of damaged pride he then said 'I've only just got it, picked it up an hour ago'."
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds and has a reported top speed of 198 miles per hour.
But in an update Friday, police said they "do not believe excess speed was a contributory factor in this collision."

    Have a Great Monday

I did have to be logged out to see that page FWIW.
It would appear that works out to $224 for the Uniquely Yours Plan.

If You can factor in the discounted Gift cards from CostCo it ends up cheaper yet. I am currently using the ones I bough when they were on sale and even cheaper for the $100 face value.

Also I still buy their product and use it even though I had hit a weight I was happy with. I just do not Eat NS only now. I eat some salads fro the Shoprite and Wendy's for example.

Good news that it dried out and is working once again. I use a FitBit Zip and when I change the battery it stores all the data, it does lose the time however until I sync it.

    Good Luck

    Good morning;

    Hi Joanne
I rarely return things, I have returned things to Amazon when they shipped the wrong product of course. Usually I catch oops in my buying before they have shipped and just cancel them. As an example I ordered a 5Tb external Portable hard Drive and when I went to order it I chose a selection that included a carry case and for some reason that always changed the drive to a 1Tb portable :)

Unfortunately we have a Birds nest in the Kitchen wall where they managed to get in below the Stove vent outlet.

    Have a Nice Day
