    I have posted more humor

    Hi
I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 62 degrees. It is a nice enough day outside with a misty haze in the air that has turned to a light rain around the time I arrived home.

I managed to get two decorative pots planted with Marigolds and Begonias to decorate the front step. I left them where I filled them with the Garden soil and plants on the picnic table until the rain waters them in.

    Hi Irene
We did another run to Lowes yesterday since it was the last day of the sale and bought 6 more bags of mulch and 4 bags of Topsoil. The Much is all placed and I used some of the first bag of top soil to plant the pots of flowers.

Congratulations on the walking and getting the Mowing done ahead of the forecast rain. Yesterday was a much nicer day that the day before regarding high temperatures.

I am a little surprised that a squirrel could not get itself out of the pool I would think they must cross streams somehow.

    Have a Nice Day

It was a overcast and gloomy day all day Wednesday, OTOH I never saw any rain.
I agree that the upcoming weather looks less than nice.

Hows the acupuncture doing, temporary or longer lasting benefits ?

Hi Jo, hope you got your plumbing issue fixed.
The acupuncture is part of my maintenance...helps keep me on an even keel, just like the massages, chiropractor, exercise and diet. Also, I've found the acupuncturist very good at recommending supplements that are helpful.
t-storms expected this afternoon and pretty much through Sunday, cloudy Monday, then more showers Tuesday, then cloudy, cloudy, cloudy.
I'm off to painting class in a little while.
    Happy Thursday! :)

    Good morning;
Irene-Good that you saved the squirrel. I hope it didn't do any damage to the lining of the pool.
Roger-I hope the rain held off so you could get your mulch spread.
Vix-Yes the plumbing is all fixed. It was so nice to take a hot shower.
Vinny is home and almost back to his old self. His blood sugar is too high again. I am doing a blood glocuse curve to see how he progresses throughout the day. He is back down to 1unit of insulin versus 5 units.
We have had a great week weather wise so far. I have gotten all my flower beds weeded and some other little projects accomplished. The last project we have to tackle is to put down a flagstone walkway on either side of the side gate into the backyard. We hope to get that done today.
    Enjoy your day! :)

Today is National Donut Day according to Dunkin Donuts :)
They are offering a free Donut with any Beverage purchase. Not a biggie to me as I could get a free donut any time I go there for coffee with the AARP card. Not the fancy ones of course.

Krispy Kreme is offering one free doughnut of your choice, no purchase necessary.

    Hi Vix
Once again this morning it is very humid out, despite it being 67 degrees out the door, I worked up a sweat walking :(

It left us both more or less worn out, the bags of mulch had picked up water while at Lowes and that did not make them any lighter.

Not real nice weather in our forecast either.

It sounds as if You found a good acupuncturist that helps You.

    Hi Irene
Our weather was threatening looking all day too.
The red mulch looks good out front and the brown mulch that we out in the backyard garden beds from the 16 bags we bought on sale.
We had to put fencing around the Hostas we planted last year, the darn Deer were eating them and the Easter type Lillies we also planted. They do not seem to care what they eat.

    Good Luck avoiding them

    Hi
I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 71 degrees. It is a humid day thus I worked up a sweat. I did see a Fox on my outbound leg after picking up my coffee.

It was warm yesterday, a fair amount above the normal temperatures for this time of year. Yesterday and today are both humid too. Our chance of rain for yesterday and today has already hit 100%. We had rain and Thunder roll in around 11:30 PM and last for a Hour Plus. I do need to Mow, however with the humidity I think I will wait for tomorrow.

I look back fondly at Fried bread that I had years ago. I would take the skillet that had bacon fried in it and then when the bacon was done Fry bread in the bacon grease until browned. I did like the taste, Probably bad for my arteries.

    Hi Irene
The Fried Bread is a different approach to Fry Bread since We used bread out of a loaf of store bought bread.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frybread
Frybread (also spelled fry bread) is a flat dough bread, fried or deep-fried in oil, shortening, or lard. Made with simple ingredients, frybread can be eaten alone or with various toppings such as honey, jam, powdered sugar, venison, or beef. Frybread can also be made into tacos, like Navajo tacos.

We did not use a landscape fabric under the Mulch since next spring the mulch will be tilled into the soil as a organic additive.

Congratulations on getting all that yard work done

    Hi
I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 54 degrees. The rain in the forecast for later Sunday into Monday came true.
There appeared to have been rain overnight, It had ended as I went out the door then started around the time I was 2 blocks from the house and continued until I was back home. I had checked the 5AM weather forecast and since that showed rain to my east and west heading in my direction so I was dressed for it.

The humidity was gone and there was a nice breeze blowing Sunday. I mowed the lawn Sunday , when I went out there was no rain falling, However as I pulled the mower after fueling it and a light spritz of rain started and ended before I finished the front lawn. More rain fell around nightfall and lasted maybe an hour.

Another gray misty morning, more rain storms last night. Supposed to be partly cloudy today, so maybe the sun will peek through later.
No plans for today yet. I need to go to Home Depot and pick up some replacement glass for picture frames. I'm working on fixing up some of the old prints from my MIL, and some came without glass, then I broke one yesterday as I was reassembling it after cleaning. I might get plexiglass instead. It's stronger.
