Vix-My daughter and I saw a turtle while walking last weekend. I tried to get a picture, but it crawled under some brush before I could take it.
Roger and Irene-sounds like you were busy doing yard work this weekend.
Today is the last day of my vacation. I have a follow-up Dr. appt. this morning and the rest of the day is free.
Enjoy your day!
The last Turtle I saw was swimming in one of the brooks, not this year either.
I am looking at not doing anymore today. I already put the cleaned parts of the grill back on the base, Deadheaded the Rose bush that needed it and finished deadheading the Iris. End my yard work for the day
Hopefully the doctor appointment went well.
Back to work is something I no longer worry about. I'm sorry to hear Yours has ended.
Enjoy the Day

Good morning.
Another gray misty morning, more rain storms last night. Supposed to be partly cloudy today, so maybe the sun will peek through later.
No plans for today yet. I need to go to Home Depot and pick up some replacement glass for picture frames. I'm working on fixing up some of the old prints from my MIL, and some came without glass, then I broke one yesterday as I was reassembling it after cleaning. I might get plexiglass instead. It's stronger.
Happy Monday!Good morning.
Off to stained glass and clay today.
Happy Tuesday!
Hi Vix
Yesterday turned into a great day once the rain ended by 7AM...
Hopefully Yours ended up nice too.
The problem with Plexiglass is that it is easy to scratch when cleaning and some of it the Sun can damage.
Have a Good Day at the Stained Glass and Clay. If I were doing that I would spread it out to two days.

Hi Irene
I Go out walking in the rain Monday morning and despite the temperatures being in the 50s I was comfy in the rain gear. Today's walk was a little chilly, I should have put on a long sleeve shirt but I carried on. I did at least have light gloves which did the job in keeping me comfortable enough.
I hate mowing wet grass too, the grass clumps up under the mower deck and can get thick enough to stop the motor. To avoid that I end up bouncing the mower on the street to shake the clumped grass free. However the wet clumps of grass can be slippery.
Have a Good Day.

Good morning;
First day back at work yesterday and I actually got everything all caught up. I was tired and sore. I had to take Tylenol before I went to bed and I slept like a log.
Today is my late day 11-7. I am glad I only have to work this sift once a week.
Irene-I am glad to hear Annie is doing well.
Roger-It rained here off and on most of the day. Today it is gray and still damp, hopefully the sun will come out later.

I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 60 degrees. The day is nice looking with sunshine and forecast to be around 72 degrees.
Since the weather was so nice I decided to pull the front off of the Wall mounted AC and clean it. After pulling it I could see it was overdue

Hi Irene
How nice to be done with the Vet for a few months. Now that the Living Room Wall mount AC is clean I need to do the Basement window AC next. Probably today or tomorrow, A day of doing nothing would not go unappreciated.
It was nice an cool outside today, I did go out in my pocket T shirt and it was OK. I got my haircut Monday, Since I was starting to look shaggy so I am now happier with it done.
Congratulations on getting Your steps.

Hi Vix
Yesterday was a comfortable if overcast day and dry around here.
Yup, I hate feeling shaggy... I had thought of walking to the barbershop, however since I have been getting out the door a little before or after 5AM that meant I would have been there way early and had to sit in the diner for a fair amount of time. Not a good thing to do for weight loss or saving money
Cheers

Wow! That is a lot of steps.
The edging, is that like a layer of bricks to provide a place for the wheels on the mower ? We have been thinking of doing that along the sidewalk and driveway.
Congratulations on the steps

That was my feeling as to why I should not walk for the haircut
My brother had his hair cut really short as is his custom heading into summer every year. His did take a lot less time than mine as a result.

Hi Irene
That sounds like a plan, I may be going out again later helping my brother with his running around, Now if he would just decide what he is doing, He usually decides which one he will do right before doing it.
On my return from walking I stopped behind the house and watered plants that are planted in pots. I also saw that a twelfth of the Gladiolus cormlets I planted in small pots had sprouted I will planting them into the ground next week. My brother suggested using the post hole digger which sounds like a good idea. That will create a perfect sized hole to take the contents of the pots.
The Gladiolus planted from last years planting are up and looking good. Likewise for the Dahlias from last year and this years purchase.
That pretty much takes care of the yard chores for the day
Have a Good Day

Good morning. Sun is in and out today, high of 84 expected.
No plans yet for today. Hubby started his treatments yesterday, so he's got committments daily for the next 5 weeks (except for weekends). I have no plans for today. May go grocery shopping while he's out. I picked up a few things yesterday, but am almost out of frozen veggies.

Irene-Congrats on that great step count. I am not using my Fitbit anymore. Hubby bought me an Apple watch for Mother's day. It counts steps, activity, exercise and heart rate.
I can even answer my phone using my watch, but only if the watch is in range of the phone.
Roger-I found 2 cents yesterday while I was watering the plants at work.
Nothing new here, just work and more work. I have 5 more years to work before I can retire at my full Social Security.....Not that I'm counting.
Have a good evening and a great weekend.

Thanks, all.
Our temps are supposed to go up to 81 today, but scattered t-storms this afternoon and evening. Sort of hazy right now.
Roger, our gas co is on the list, but not our electric co. We spend less than average on gas, and the co says the average user will save $2 and change each month....nothing to write home about. Still can't justify the giant tax advantage for the rich to me.
Maryland is 14th on the list. But I'm ok with that. Would rather be close to my family in retirement and have good services, than live somewhere cheaper and far away. Those lists change all the time anyway, and it depends on who's figuring them out.
Sounds like you're busy, Irene.
Jo, your Apple watch seems like quite a gadget. When we were kids, it would have been something in a sci-fi movie. At least you're closing in on your retirement date...the last few years go the fastest.
No special plans for today...

Hi Vix
The change found was semi weird, Once on the way out after picking up my coffee, then in the street outbound and then on the way back back home in the same locations again
Hopefully the weather is better than the forecast. It rained here enough after I was back home to make the streets wet and not enough to dampen the ground under the trees where it stayed dry.
Nothing wrong with walking in the park.
Thanks
