    Good morning.
Maryland is 8th in wedding costs. My son and his fiance have narrowed it down to 2 places. I think the future in-laws need to check out the 2nd one and then decide. I remember when we were looking at places for my daughter's wedding, there was a wide range of options, barns to fancy hotels, golf clubs, wineries, etc. I think they'll keep it modest (like we did).
Sunny with a high of 82 today. The morning is nice and cool. Have to go to an imaging center this morning....after that I'm free. I have a big bruise where I got the shots in my hip. The leg seems a little better, but I'm not ready for long walks yet.
    Happy Friday, everyone. :)
    Hi Vix
Narrowing it down to places is good progress, Do those places provide everything including Cake and Music or ??

I wonder is keeping pressure on the shot location for a minute would have helped prevent the bruise, it does work when they draw blood in my case.

Great weather the last couple of days, Sadly the forecast is for another heat wave to see the month out as we head toward labor day.

good morning, well George did go to work and he is feeling better. We did a nice hour walk this morning it was a little chilly but it was good to walk in the cooler weather. my plans for today is the hospital and the food shopping take care everyone
    Hi Irene
How nice that George recovered so quickly, I wish I did that.

Yesterday I could feel my fingers were cold believe it or not, today I remembered to wear light gloves when I went out the door. Currently I have the front door onto the porch open to get some nice cool air into the house.

Maybe the Grocery Store for me Sunday, My brother does the ShopRite run on Sunday since that is the start of the new sales from the weekly circular

    Good morning.
Partly cloudy with a high of 81 today. Cool so far this a.m.
    No plans for today.
Roger, I'm not sure about the places (parents of the groom this time, not our call). In Maryland, the couple usually has to find their own music, flowers, and officiant, the places usually recommend vendors for a cake, and provide the catering. Lots of them have lists of recommendations.
As far as the bruise, I do have some arnica cream I could put on it. Haha...I never think of it. Should do that now, it really helps them heal faster.
    Happy Saturday, everyone. :)

I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 65 degrees, it was comfortable while walking due to the the great temperature and low humidity which is slightly higher today.

Your Weather was cooler than here. The weather forecast is for rising humidity and higher overnight with higher Daytime temperatures.

I wonder if George is getting reinfected somewhere, Somehow or only because of not waiting long enough before getting going again.

    Just caught with everyone.
Vix-I hope your bruising goes away quickly. Is the injection site sore also? What part of Maine are you going to?
Irene-I hope George is feeling better.
Roger-the weather here has been great, very little humidity. I have had all the windows open for the last few days.
I went for my 2nd Shingles shot and also got a flu shot. I didn't sleep well that night. My arm was sore and I woke up achy all over. I went to work for only 4 hours and came home. I stayed home the next day. Friday I was fine and went to work. Friday night I wasn't feeling well again, this time stomach problems. I went to work on Saturday but left early. Today I am fine. At first I thought it was from the shots, but now I think I may have picked up a bug.

    Hi Irene
I agree we had three great days of walking weather, Sadly as I see it the entire week is not looking that good, Higher Overnight and Daytime temperatures as well as increased humidity. I returned home covered in sweat from this mornings walk so I shortened it from what I have been doing the last few days.

Good News that George is feeling better

    Good morning.
Roger, I never heard of sea lice before. But then I'm not a lover of swimming in the ocean. Sounds awful.
Jo, sorry you haven't been feeling well. I didn't know there was a 2nd shingles shot...I thought it was one and done. My injection site is a little sore. We are flying into Portland, Me and driving to Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park). The weather has been pretty nice here too.
Irene, glad George is feeling better. It is nice that the weather is cooling off at night and in the mornings.
Another Monday, have a good week, everyone. :)

Thank you all. I am feeling much better.
Vix-There is a new improved shingles shot. It is given in 2 parts and is supposed to be good for the rest of your life. It is so beautiful in Bar Harbor. We went a few years ago.
Roger-I have never heard of sea lice either. I have not been swimming in the ocean for over a decade.
Irene-I am glad George is feeling better.
I got out early and cleaned the bird baths before the heat of the day. My daughter and I went for a walk yesterday, but cut it short due to the humidity. She came over and cooked us lunch yesterday. She is vegetarian, so we had burgers, called beyond meat. It is a plant based product. They were not bad and reminded me of the NS burgers that came in the pouch.
Hot and humid in the forecast for the next week or so. I don't think I will be spending too much time outside.
    Have a great week.

    Hi Vix
This year is the first time I have heard of Sea Lice too. The last time I swam in the ocean, Well waded TBH was many years ago.

Lucky You, This morning was miserable outside when walking. I turned on the AC in the wall before I left to cool off the room and give me a way to cool off quicker on my return.

Hopefully the injection site becomes painless quickly.

    Enjoy the Vacation

It is shortening my walks, Just to much heat and humidity even at or before 5AM.

    Hi Irene
I'm with You, I think I did 1/2 of my normal time and distance and I took advantage of a few place that had benches or chairs out to sit and cool off somewhat during the walking too.
Lucky You, I think it was already too hot when my brother went out to mow and then he got started even later after spending an hour talking to a neighbor.

This type of weather is the only time I sort of miss having a pool, OTOH they do require a substantial amount of maintenance IMO.

I do not blame You for only doing 5K Steps, It was miserable right out the door this morning.

As I interpret the last weather forecast tomorrow will be a misery too, and when they said the cold front and lower humidity will be moving in Friday I take that to mean during the day and that when I head out the door Friday Morning it will still be hot and humid :(

    Have a Relaxing Day

    Hi Joanne
I sort of hate it when I enter a place with AC such as the Post Office and where I pick up my morning coffee as when I go back out the heat feels even worse. It is not so bad going out the front door to walk, Example: This morning Living Room 79 degrees and 81 degrees outside, I did turn the AC back on as I left to have a cool location when I returned from the walk.

AC in the car is not working, It appears that there is a Freon leak as it won't hold a charge and there is a electrical fault that our mechanic described as a faulty resistor that has killed the three slowest fan speeds :(
I do not blame You for taking advantage of all that AC.

I managed to fix the door latch on my Brothers door. It failed in such a manner that the only way to close it was to turn the handle as if You were opening it. The Part on the edge of the door had failed in some manner, I got lucky when I examined it that I had the same one left from another Door latch that I had replaced. I knew being a pack rat would come in handy. I kept it in the same spot I keep the New Key Locks and Bathroom sets on hand.

I do not remember if I used these before, if so, Oops.

Stay Cool and Agreed stay under the AC in this heat

    Good morning.
Went out with the kids for hubby's b-day last night. It was nice. We went to a seafood restaurant. I had a salmon and quinoa salad, delicious.
Going to be a hot one today, high of 94 and sunny.

I shall be posting more humor in a couple of minutes, Enjoy

    Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 82 degrees,Yesterday at 10PM it was still 88 degrees, it was not comfortable while walking due to the higher temperature the humidity. I did manage to extend my distance by picking up a Super Big Gulp filled with Ice and Diet Pepsi.
On the Outbound leg of my walk I had the Bleep scared out of me when I heard a large thump next to me and then a Deer ran off. I can only guess that the noise was the startled Deer kicking the house next to me as it scrambled up or off.

According to my Brother, anytime he gets on the scale and it does not say "You Only Put in a dime, One at a time" it's to the good.

Wish Your Husband a belated Happy Birthday for me

I shall be posting more humor shortly

    Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 76 degrees,Yesterday at 10PM it was still 86 degrees, it was Sort of comfortable while walking due to somewhat lower humidity and a gentle breeze.
The Temperatures did not drop as low overnight as was forecast, I suspect due to the low clouds. I could hear low flying aircraft and sometimes I could see the glow through the clouds of the lights on them.

I did my recovering from the heat today while walking. To explain as I walked I worked up a bit of a sweat so I took advantage of town benches along the roads and a chair in front of a eatery to sit and let the gentle breeze cool me down. Does that make me lazy or ???

I also wandered into the back yard to see if any of the latest crop of Raspberries survived critters eating them, Wow, I actually got as many this morning in one go as I had managed to get up to now from earlier crops.

    Hi Vix
That Sounds like typical summer weather, Hot and humid which often causes Thunderstorms. When I was driving if I had any distance to travel in the afternoon I would run into and out of Thunderstorms most days. Sometimes it would be a clean line at the edge of them and I would go from soaking rain onto dry roads within a few feet.

Seattle's bad air was smoke from the forest fires, no surprise to me. If You have seen the pictures of the Pollution in Beijing it is horrendous and that gets blown all over the world.

AC for the summer is great, I wonder how I survived the summer before I had it ?

    Have a Good Day
    Roger
