Ed, I don't think I've ever tried Grenache. I just read a bit about it, full bodied, and ranges of dryness/sweetness. I tend to like a touch of sweetness in wine. I think it must be so much fun to do these advent packs.
I did a little shopping yesterday. I have a zoom meeting with my dietitian this morning, and clay crafting this afternoon.

I am on vacation this week.
My daughter and I went to Cirque de sol T'wis the night before Christmas on Sunday evening. It was a lot of fun. We took the train into Boston. It was an experience, a few crazy people on the train.

From my last post, which I forgot to send, I had a good Dr. visit. I do not have to go back for a year.
Hubby is finally on the mend. He went back to work yesterday. Keeping our fingers crossed for no more health issues.
I made an out door arrangement for the front steps this morning. I took my garden clippers and foraged the backyard for greenery. I will try and post a picture later.

Our housecleaner is coming this morning, and we're going out for dinner tonight, so it should be a really nice day.

Jo, I somehow missed your post. The plant is so festive. I like how you put it together. I'm glad your Dr. visit went well, and that hubby is feeling much better. I know you are enjoying your week off, the visit to Boston with your daughter sounds like it was a lot of fun!
Irene, I don't know much about wine either, just whether I like them or not when I have a glass.
Our dinner was casual and fun. We both had THE BANTER, house cured corn beef, gruyere, black Russian bread, whiskey mustard, hand cut fries house made ketchup. Hubby had the gluten free version with what he said was the best gluten free bun he's had. And for the cocktail, we had the MIGHTY MEZZ,
Bulleit Bourbon, drambuie, fresh citrus, fresh lime, bitters. Sweet and strong.
I have a visit with my pain Dr. this morning. It's currently 42F, areas of patchy fog early. Cloudy. High 53F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Hubby and I went out for breakfast this morning. I had a veggie omelet and brought half home for tomorrows breakfast. My daughter is coming over later this morning and we are making button Christmas trees and an ugly Christmas sweater for hubby. His work is having a contest for the ugliest Christmas sweater. One of our friends had a stroke last Wednesday. He's still in the hospital, doing pretty well. I think they know more after a full week.

Joanne, those button trees are cute! I like the ugly sweater too. I've been enjoying my Advent calendars every day. It's fun taking a virtual tour of Europe (at least so far) with the wines.
Clearly the people in charge of this year's Aldi wine calendar had fun putting the whole package together, with a web page for each day that includes a brief video, along with a few paragraphs about the wine and the area the grapes are grown. This is the first year I recall all that extra work being put into it and it makes it so much more fun.
Day 12 of the Advent wine calendar presents Hibernate With Me vino rosso from Italy. The cheese Advent calendar presents vintage Cheddar. The chocolate for the day is a mousse au chocalat truffle.

Homoglyph and Unicode Phishing Scams
You may be wondering what homoglyphs and Unicodes are.
Homoglyphs are letters or characters that look similar. For example, the character βeβ looks similar to the character βΔβ. Unicode is a unique code assigned to characters so that any platform or program can understand them. For example, the Unicode for βeβ is U+0065, and the Unicode for βΔβ is U+0117. Now, cybercriminals are taking advantage of homoglyphs and Unicodes in phishing emails to imitate legitimate organizations.
In a recent scam, cybercriminals send you an email that uses homoglyphs and Unicode to offer you a fake promotion. The email includes a link to log in to receive your promotion. For example, to make the email look more legitimate, cybercriminals could send the email using βNβ‘Δtβ‘fliβ‘β Ή.comβ as the sender. The β‘ symbol indicates a Unicode character that is not supported in your internet browser, but your browser will automatically omit these unsupported characters when displaying text. In this example, the sender's email address would display as "http://Netflix dot com/". If you donβt notice the spoofed domain and enter your login credentials, cybercriminals can access your account and steal your sensitive information.
Follow the tips below to stay safe from homoglyph and Unicode scams:
β’ Even if the senderβs email address appears to be from a trusted domain, the email could be fake. This technique can be used to impersonate any organization, brand, or even a person.
β’ When you receive an email, stop and look for red flags. For example, watch out for text with odd spacing or characters that look strange.
β’ Never click a link in an email that you arenβt expecting. If the email claims that you need to log in to your account, log in to the organizationβs website directly to verify any offers or promotions.
