I'm at a work conference, and have been for a few days. I've been riding a rental bike around from the house where I'm staying to the group meeting venue, though, and been able to get in 13 miles over the past few days.

Just hang in there and thing of the upside after surgery. Pain now, but a better leg and cycling after. We are all here for you for moral support.

I went and stretched it today. I was in pain yesterday, but I thought taking a nice ride in the sunshine would be good. I think I rode to many miles today, the pain started hitting even before I finished. I am stubborn, but I need to listen to my body (which I keep telling to shut up) and cut down what I am doing. I am not used to this and it is hard for me. When I used to ride in horse shows, I rode a day jumping fences with a broken wrist.

@Lovemyalex: I am sure you feel anxiety because the waiting is always the hardest part. But knowing you and your determination, you will approach your recovery the way you commit to your workouts. In know time this will all be a blip on your radar screen. Keeping you in prayer. Char

Congratulations to clepant on making goal!
With the donated miles and her own determination to get back in the saddle, Anaconda is now only 3 miles from goal. Now that's what I call a strong recovery from a scary situation!0 -

*** is there anyone out there that could use a helping hand for the next couple days... To get you closer to your goal... Would love to continue to donate miles to anyone in need...
**** this has been a blessing for me ... It helped me more than anything else I was doing...

We are home from "the city". My DH still has a long way to go & I HATE when I see him drugged up. I guess I should not have expected more in just a week. Sometimes I feel sooooo alone in this cuz he does not want any noise, people or even to go outside. My escape is my fitness and I went to church alone today. Are any of you on an antidepressant? I had a follow up appointment with my Dr on Thursday for menopausal issues & she asked if I would like to but I said let's see if some of the hormonal supplements do their job first & then I might. (especially if he is still dragging me down with his issues) I appreciate & thank you for your thoughts, concern & well wishes!
Sat: ( 3.5 running & .5 walking)
Sun: (2.75 running & .25 walking) + (13 miles on ex bike)

I am on Bi-Polar/Panic and anxiety disorder medication. Because I am on Lamotrigine (1 step down from Litium) I am able to regain focus and continue with my life and concentrate on my health. It is up to you if you take anti depressants, but they can sometimes mess you up worse than if you don't take them. Really give the hormonal stuff a try before making the decision of AD meds or not. I am here with you, message me if you want more info or just to vent.
