Today I paid for yesterdays longer ride. Pain, oh pain, had to stand during the entire Mass this morning because my tailbone and mid back was so stupid sore. My Cantor Solo went well, but I was not able to sit on those hard benches. Taking a rest day, so just took a walk. I just saw the spreadsheet, I can't believe it, I am going to make goal after all, due to some very nice people here in the group. Because this is happening, I want to pay it forward too.

We are home from "the city". My DH still has a long way to go & I HATE when I see him drugged up. I guess I should not have expected more in just a week. Sometimes I feel sooooo alone in this cuz he does not want any noise, people or even to go outside. My escape is my fitness and I went to church alone today. Are any of you on an antidepressant? I had a follow up appointment with my Dr on Thursday for menopausal issues & she asked if I would like to but I said let's see if some of the hormonal supplements do their job first & then I might. (especially if he is still dragging me down with his issues) I appreciate & thank you for your thoughts, concern & well wishes!
Sat: ( 3.5 running & .5 walking)
Sun: (2.75 running & .25 walking) + (13 miles on ex bike)
@vhuber: Be careful of the hormonal supplements. I was on Estrodial for a number of years and it was most likely the reason for me developing Atypical Ductal Hyperpllasia which can be a lead in to breast cancer. That and being over weight as estrogen feeds on fat and breast cancer feeds on estrogen. I lost the weight not long before being diagnosed but had to stop the supplement. Now I am on the breast cancer watch list. Just some food for thought.0 -
Thank you ladies for sharing & for the support!!!0

Right now I don't seem to be able to move much two days in a row. I need to change that if I plan to make my goal this month. Added 2 miles yesterday but I made up for it with 8.5 miles today. June total 86.25 miles
@anaconda469 OH, I hope you feel less sore soon. It's hard to get past that all or nothing thing we do to ourselves. It took me far too long to figure out there is something between full speed ahead and full stop. When I remember to stay closer to that middle zone I am far less likely to damage myself. Of course, I don't always take my own advice but........
@vhuber I think the hardest part sometimes is the time it takes to figure out what works best for you (and your husband too.) Hang in there, keep working out since it makes you feel better and I will keep you both in my prayers.
@Lovemyalex You are in my thoughts and prayers too. I hope it all goes well.

I learned a couple really valuable lessons on Saturday (a bit expensively and so I hope to remember them better for that). One - don't ride a bike you haven't been riding on a big distance ride. Every bike is different and while I love my Raleigh Racer, its a different fit and with the clips, I ride that bike differently. Duh. Two - If you are starting to cramp mildly before you get to the mountain, then listen to the body and turn around and go for the shorter route. I have never had a TBand cramp before. I am still sore two days later. Riding my commuter bike on Sunday just enforced the fact that its a very different bike then my Racer and didn't do a thing for the TBand set of muscles. Three - Not taking it seriously that the lack of long distance time was going to impact how I did on this ride. Commutes and weekend short pleasure rides just don't equal the really long distance. Lessons learned -onward I go.0 -

I can't believe it, making goal because of some very wonderful people here in this group. I tried a group ride today and a perfectly flat dedicated bike path. A nice 31 mile out and back. I made the out, then suffered something, I am not sure what, could not hold my head up, when they laid me down, the whole world was spinning. One of the group rode back to the cars and came and picked me up. I now have developed pain and swelling in my back between the shoulder blades, and neck problems (this has been sneaking up on me after the accident), so going to have a spine x-ray tomorrow morning. I may be pushing to hard to get back to where I was. I had so many riding plans for next month, just going to have to wait and see.
06/22 - 16.0 miles cycling
Total: 139.0 miles (actual miles ridden)
