Got a 10K Sunday. Flat. I'd like to break an hour. Best 10K so far is 5 minutes over that, but I've been running longer distances lately (18K last Sunday) and thinking it's doable.

@Tacklewasher good luck. The first time I broke the hour, I did it in 59:59. Best feeling in the world. My PB is something under 57 minutes, but that 59:59 is very special.

Good luck! It's such an amazing experience. Enjoy every minute of it. Are you taking the buses to Hopkinton? For me, that was one of the most memorable parts of the experience.

I'm running my third Boston on Monday. I hope to get it right this time. Last two years it was warm; forecast calls for rain or showers this year. We'll see; the forecast changed a day before the race last year.

58:22 for my 10K so ~7 minutes faster than the one in Feb and I am frikken thrilled.

Finished Boston in 3:28:43 on a day that was brutal for spectators and volunteers, and instant hypothermia when you stop running at the finish line. Bling report will have to wait till I get home; not worth figuring out how to move pictures around on the hotel internet connection. 30th of I think 1019 in the M 60-65 age group.

    Well done.

As MobyCarp said, Boston was freezing, between the all day rain and wind, especially once we stopped running. I did well, but my timing chip didn't register at the start so my official time is completely off. According to my Garmin, I did 4:05:08, a 10+ minute PR. I loved the race, aside from the weather.

Sprint triathlon - 1/4 mile pool swim, 10.3 mile bike, 5k. It will be chilly on the bike, but perfect for the run!

Running the USATF Masters 10K at the James Joyce Ramble, Dedham, Massachusetts, next Sunday. That will be 13 days after I ran Boston; I won't know till race day whether I will be able to run the 10K competitively, but I expect I'll be able to muster something faster than just running it easy.

I have a 10k tomorrow. My best so far is 1:02:19, but I would love to run sub 1 hour. Fingers crossed!

5-miler run at the winery. Running it for fun, not so much competitively.

Pittsburgh this weekend - 5k on Saturday and Half Marathon on Sunday.

Goals for the 5K is 30 minutes or MORE (if I go faster than 30 minutes it will be a mistake).

For the half I'm not expecting much. My pace during training was not where it needs to be so I'll be happy with 1:45ish. Anything below that is just from the wind pushing me over the finish line. :D

10K race his weekend. It's a trail race and I've not really run trails before so I have no idea what I'm in for and have no expectation on time.

    Leeds half marathon tomorrow!

Weather looks good, cool with light rain, and I'm running with a friend who is generally faster than me so a PB might be on the cards!

Martha's Vineyard Half Marathon for me on Saturday. Cool temperatures and showers are predicted, which is actually how I like it. My training has suffered a bit because of a niggling calf injury, so I think my hoped for PB is off the table. A shame because it's a flat course and coupled with the weather conditions, it was definitely doable. But whatever happens, it's going to be a blast. The Vineyard is one of my favourite places and I'm so excited to be running there.

My 10k is this weekend! AND this is the first race I've done where i'll get a medal (I think) so I'm excited. Also scared though because it's my first 10k, and i haven't followed my training plan the past couple weeks. But I feel like as long as i just go at my slow steady pace i'll be alright. Also, hoping it's not too humid!

I'm also running a 10K this coming weekend. It's just a small local race, and I think I have a very good chance of placing in my age group because the turnout is usually pretty small (local race = in my rural corner of Iowa with very low population density).

Lilac 10K on Sunday, May 20. Starts downhill, ends uphill, considered one of the tougher local 10K courses. It's also a Rochester Runner of the Year race, the USATF Niagara Region 10K Road Championship, and a USATF Niagara Runner of the Year race. No pressure, right? I hope to finish 3rd in my age group, behind two of my team mates on our M 60+ team.

Looking forward, I have a minor 5K on Saturday. Haven't run the Sunset House 5K before, but I'm told it's a fast course. I think there's a decent chance that I can win my age group without working very hard; but there's always the off chance that someone competitive will show up.

I'm doing a small local 5K trail run tomorrow (Sat.). I have no expectations except to hopefully enjoy it and not injure myself. I've been down so much lately about pace and I really think that it is wise to stop pushing myself on speed.

Dorchester marathon on Sunday. First road marathon, although marathon no14, so not entirely sure how to approach it.

USATF Masters Half Marathon on Sunday, the Dexter-Ann Arbor road race. I don't expect to place in my age group in a USATF national event, but this will add another state (Michigan) to the list of states I've run a race in.
