Who is racing this weekend?

Two weeks after finding I have a stress fracture of a metatarsal, the good news is I can get out of the boot half days now. The bad news is I still have to DNS the BAA 5K and the Boston Marathon this weekend. Going to have as much fun as I can being a spectator and talking to first-time Boston runners.4

I'm running the Flint Hills Trail Marathon tomorrow (Manhattan, KS).1

My biggest race yet is this weekend but I'm not ready for it. It's the Tillamook Burn 50 Mile trail race.
In October I ran a 12 hour race and finished with 42 miles officially (43.8 on my Garmin, which usually measures a bit short on trail races) and ruptured a foot tendon in the process. Surgery and rehab took me out of running for 3 months. I started back up again in mid-January and was making great progress but on March 30th I strained my Achilles during a 26 mile training run and have only run 15 miles in the 3.5 weeks since then.
I'll toe the line, but I'm not confident I'll finish. All I can do is give what I can.5 -
Anyone else running Big Sur tomorrow? I’m on a relay team for the last leg.0

Who is in for Philly Broad Street Run on Sunday?
Goal for the race is under 1:15. Realistically I have a shot.
Trying to let my ankle heal a bit before I blast it apart again this weekend.1 -
I've got the Indy Mini on Saturday. Trying to break 2 hours, I just might do it.2
-
Flying Pig half marathon on Sunday. I plan to run this one easy and enjoy the crowd. Hoping I can stick to the plan.2
-
Superior 50k on Saturday3
-
Country Mile at Ganondagan (fka Charlie's Old Goat Trail) tomorrow, a 5 mile trail race. I managed a road 5K two weeks ago, tomorrow I'll see how unprepared I am for trails.4

Doing a fun, family oriented local 5K this evening. Last year I won my age group and the prize was a pair of Goodr sunglasses, Balega socks and a t-shirt. It was hot and humid last year and my pace was barely faster than my half marathon pace. Tonight will be even hotter and I have been nursing a bum hamstring, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect. I probably shouldn't even be running this race, but it's a fun after party with a crowd of familiar faces and who knows, maybe everyone in my age group is injured and I can score another pair of glasses.1

Superior, tomorrow and Saturday.1

Loopet Loppet on Sunday. A 12 hour trail race in Minneapolis. They have a 5 mile loop for the first 10 hours, then they open up a 1 mile loop for the final 2 hours. Only full loops count. Last year I completed 42 miles. Goal this year is to beat it.5

Chicago Marathon on Sunday3

Good luck @7lenny7 and @T1DCarnivoreRunner ! I am also racing Chicago this weekend. Would love to PR, but I am leaving it up to the race gods to decide how I feel on Sunday. My main goal is to have a good time, so if I am not feeling it, I will lay low and enjoy the crazy atmosphere that I heard makes Chicago so awesome!1

I am in K.0 -

I am in E. So far, weather is looking promising, although maybe a little windy (go figure). Have you run Chicago before? This is my first time. I am wondering if the urban course and the crowds will help make the wind a non-issue.1 -

I have not run Chicago before either, but here are some things I've heard on Facebook:
-GPS will not track properly in the early part of the course due to towers and tunnel. Some suggest switching to manual lap mode for each mile, but I'm just going to not worry about it. I'll have the time and the miles from mile markers.
-Miles 7-11 are most windy.
-There are 2 bridges, sounds like early on in the first 5 miles somewhere, with grates. They put carpet over the grates to help runners, but will need to be extra careful not to trip on those bridges.0 -
Attempting my comeback from the sports hernia on Sunday at the Harrisburg Marathon. This wasn't on my original plans for the year but since both plan A and B got canceled due to injury I'm in with plan C.1

I'm running the Monterey Bay Half Marathon after spending the summer rehabbing ITBS. I'm hopeful that a) I won't get injured again, b) I might set a PR, and c) the race doesn't get cancelled again this year. It was cancelled last year at the last minute due to smoke from the Camp Fire, but currently the fires in California are 100% contained and we all hope it stays that way.1

I am running Indianapolis Monumental Marathon (start in about 1 hr.) today and the Louisville Marathon tomorrow.1

Finally time to jump back into this thread! Tryptophan Half Marathon, Thursday morning. Weather looks to be clearing in the northeast-of-Atlanta hills, should be low- to mid-40's and clear at gun time. Course is mostly flat along the Big Creek Greenway. Excited and nervous at the same time.
I can't be the only one earning my turkey on Thursday, am I?2 -

Not sure how much turkey I'll earn but I'm running SMT Turkey Trot on Thursday (going easy with some friends) and Cocoa Bean 5K on Saturday (letting 'er rip and see what happens ).

No race for me this week. I'm still going to eat turkeys. And those turkeys will hopefully repair my tendon to be successful at my next marathon on Dec. 7 (St. Jude, Memphis).3

I did the St. Jude Half! Are you in Memphis?
I have Charleston coming up this weekend. Anyone else going to be there?1 -

@SchweddyGirl Not exactly in Memphis - I live in NW Tennessee near-ish Dyersburg.
Also, I will be at Charleston. And TBH I forgot about this thread and have done so many races without posting.
So... I have Charleston Marathon this weekend and Louisiana Marathon the next weekend. I'll try to remember to post my Feb. marathons closer, but will probably forget.1 -

I don't have anything planned for February or March, but I will be in Hunstville in April. I may throw in a 5k in Feb or March just to get a fresh idea on my paces.1 -

I PR'ed in Huntsville last month (Rocket City Marathon). I am not planning much that far out yet because I don't know when or where I move next for work, but will be sometime in 2020.
Are you in Memphis, then?0 -
@T1CarnivorRunner Yes, I am down in Memphis.1
