Apparently not as far as I'd hoped. My BF % is 33.4, I was hoping for under 30. It's in the recommended guidelines for 40-59 year old females at least. It just seemed that after two years since I got it tested, it would have been more. Got a new yoga mat and got an orientation to the little gym in the next building that I'll now have access to. Doubtful I can get to go much since we never get real breaks, but hoping to sneak some time in there once in a while. They've got treadmills, bikes, free weights and a couple of machines.
Are you kidding?! That's phenominal! From 44 to 33? That takes so much strain off your organs and joints. That is an amazing amount to have lost, let alone in two years or less. My hat is off to you! Way to go!0 -

Well I dragged out the bike so I would have some hope of getting to goal this month. Added 10 miles on the bike and 5 miles walking. August total 101.75 miles.
Hope I'm not too sore tomorrow. I had to hop off the bike and walk a couple of times today to relieve the pressure on my hips and inner thighs from the different muscle movement than walking. Time to get a couple of ibuprofen then off to bed.

@KAR328 -You've come a LONG way even with that number! This is a lifelong lifestyle change...not a quick fix. I have every confidence in you that you'll get it where you want it before too much longer. :flowerforyou:
@ANACONDA469 - That's a terrifying picture! I hope the rains get there quickly!

Exercise total for
8/27
14.35 miles (exercise bike) & .42 mile (cross trainer) & .5 mile walking
15.27 miles for today
360.95 miles done and 60.95 miles over goal....0 -
Thanks for the kind words @sufferlandrian @Dave @scarfe9991 and Just_Ceci - that was really nice. I am grateful for the numbers, it's one I never really focused on, so my idea of what it should be was obviously skewed. I've lost 41% of my total starting weight, so to me the body fat % seemed like it should be lower. But yes, I am happy with it and will keep going to hit the "normal" range for my height.
Did some lifting today, without the trainer, there weren't many people in that part of the gym, so it was good to get a feel for it and try to be comfortable. Also a 5.5 mile run/walk.
Lunch at Chili's with a coworker tomorrow so now onto their website and see what's the least damaging, yet yummy.

No not yet. Maybe the storms that are supposed to come in will help with containment. But they are short of manpower. That is one of the complex fires. Five fires merged into one massive conflagration. But there is also lightning in these storms that are coming.

Got to ride hard because tomorrow night our first storm is supposed to roll in Friday evening. Not going to do much for the fires though. Saturday is supposed to be 100 % rain with lightning. That will help with the fires. Put some out, start some new ones. Ground is still so parched that flooding is highly possible this weekend. Put some pontoons on my MTB and ride anyway. Can't let my team down, unless there is lightning. That I won't ride in :-)

Got a couple of rides in today trying to slide in there between waves of smoke. They keep telling us that the Thompson Ridge fire is 25% contained, but that's what they have said for a month now. I'm not sure they know what that means. We have over 100 fires in the state and two just out of town that are over 14,000 acres each. Here's hoping for some rain soon.
Adding 41 miles for 369 out of 350.

Yesterday we had Baby Lucas and Bean in the morning and we all walked around the park. It was DH's first outing since his hip-fix surgery. Today, Bean and I got out there early then I dropped him off w/DH and went on by myself. Then I jumped on the recumbent and watched some Grimm. Now I'm happy!
Wed - 3.80 miles
Thurs - 6.20 miles
Thurs - 11.03 bike miles
Hope everyone has a great Friday!

I have a couple more miles to add... getting close to goal! I'm excited to say I have a new running buddy... I'm adopting my foster puppy, an 8 month old German Shepherd that came from a bad situation. I took her for a short trial run around the block tonight and she did great! With any luck she will motivate me to move even more
