Just to climb on the bike today was an extreme effort. I got totally soaked yesterday. My arthritis woke me up at 5am, so there went sleep. Sang Mass this morning, that just wore me out. Finally got on the bike and managed a decent ride in crappy weather. Now I have my injured back/neck and arthritis screaming at me. Thank goodness for rest day Tuesday.

Welcome back @hkristine1 - hope all is well with you and your foster daughter.
Hope your run goes well today @Just_Ceci - my son did his PB 10k yesterday, but the weather is cooling down here and making that possible.
@JTH11706 - you must be getting excited about Berlin, a beautiful city. What a way to decide your holiday destination!
@anaconda469 - take care0 -

Thanks for the nice welcome back. For those who asked, my son is doing pretty well - we're about to officially start our homeschooling adventure with him (he's starting 3rd grade), and my foster daughter is settling in. It's hard to believe she's been with us more than 2 months now. We still aren't sure how long she'll be with us, but we seem to have gotten into a pretty decent routine and it's working out pretty well.
@Swebb72 - Welcome!!! As a help to those of us updating the spreadsheet, please add up your mileage and put your total monthly mileage at the end of your posts Thanks!!!0 -

@Janet: Nice way to do things you enjoy and to give you a reason for going places.
@ scarfe9991: nice ride. How is the ankle doing?
Inherited another race bike. My mother-in-law finally gave up racing in the local and national senior Olympics at age 92. She passed on her Cannondale to me as we are the exact height. Now I have a nice race bike along with my Trek Lexa SLX.

6.2 mile run/walk. Ran half of that. My 5K is in 12 days.
The running is coming in handy, had to run to a 'stork code' this morning - our equivalent of a 'code blue' - an imminent delivery not on our labor and delivery floor. This one was outside the doors of the next building, so it involved a quick run. I was just getting up to walk a few laps around the unit to stay awake when the code was called and as triage nurse last night, it's my job to go. Definitely woke me up. And the security guard who watched the woman get out of the car and take off her pants because the baby was coming.

Well, Stage 16 is done and dusted. However fatigue is starting to set in. Heavy legs today, just getting knackered. I am getting consistent at riding over an hour. Haven't been able to do that since the accident. My body tells me when it's time to pack it in. I got creative on Strava today. I added a handlebar mustache design on my route :-) Then got my Dutch Bros coffee and went to sit by the river, enjoying the sunshine we finally got a couple of days late. I have been so busy with cycling events in July, Vuelta challenge in Aug/Sept that I totally forgot a very important and personal achievement. As of July 27th, I have been clean and sober 4 years and since joining this group in August 2013, I have ridden 5965 miles. The cycling gives me focus and certainly helps with the other.
