I talked with a Mpls friend on the phone this morning and then went to water yoga this afternoon. I've been relaxing and reading since I got home from class.

Two deer were out in front of our house this morning eating whatever they find on the ground. We've seen quite a few in our yard since the snow has melted and it has warmed up a little bit.

Tomorrow I am signed up for studio yoga and plan to go to stretch and strengthen my muscles.

I received a call from the dermatologist. One biopsy was normal and the other is pre-cancerous. I had a choice of using some kind of liquid chemo lotion on the spot for two weeks or going in to the office in one month for the freezing nitrogen procedure or whatever it is called. I'm going for the freezing procedure. I'm always relieved when they don't find cancer cells.

Marla, any updates on C's plans for the near future?

    Freaking Friyay

I picked up and washed all my kitchen and laundry room rugs, moved chairs and stools out, swept, mopped and then put on this rejuvenate stuff on a big portion of my wood floor. Oy. I already hurt. I hope I can move by Monday. The last time I did this to the floor was before confirmation and I was younger by like 10 years! Go me

I was going to check out that Rejuvenate for Wood. Do you like it? Does it leave an oily residue or just get up the grime?

I am headed to studio yoga in a bit. Now that they make us sign up for classes in advance, it makes me more accountable to actually go. I can cancel but am less likely to do so, unless I'm tired or alternate plans that looked fun came my way.

I was hoping to get my bike tires filled up and plan to ride next week but weather is going to turn cold again with possible snow one day. Not unexpected in early April, but in 2021, it was 65 and I was riding my bike by 4/12.

    Have a great weekend!

Yesterday wasn't the day I planned, but it was the day I needed. I ended up spending most of the day in God's Word. It was such a blessing to me.

I did go over to my brothers for my sister-in-laws birthday and for my brother to file my taxes. Oh wow! I am getting a LOT more back then I expected!!!!

That sounds like a lot of spring cleaning!! I need to do some things to my own place. I want to get someone in here to fix my closet doors. When my place flooded, the floors and all the insulation beneath them came out. The insulation wasn't put back in. What was all hardwood and tile is now laminate. The issue is my floors are 2 inches lower, leaving a 2 inch gap at the bottom of ALL my doors (not my entry door) The closer doors are not staying on top and are constantly off the runners. My landlord is less the helpful and doesn't seem motivated to do anything. (I have been back 1 1/2 years and my new baseboards are still NOT painted) I want to get a friend in here to do fix my closet doors. I have asked him in the past and he doesn't seem to think it's an issue as he doesn't have closet doors upstairs. He think I want closet doors because I have a cat. I want closet doors as it's a normal think to have doors on your closet!!!

that sounds so frustrating Ang. I hope you can get some help soon. But, hey, congrats on your refund! Nice.
Not trying to start anything, but I’m freaking out over all the things King Cheeto is doing. our 401k’s have been decimated this week. The likelihood of recovery in the number of years I was hoping for is slim. But he’s getting what he wants. Driving us to a depression and all his one percenters can swoop in and sweep up the rubble for pennies on the dollar. Argh

I like the Rejuvenate stuff. The stuff I have isn’t a cleaner. I cleaned first with my swifter stuff and then did the Rejuvenate. It’s kind of a shin boost and just makes the floor look better. It doesn’t seem to feel sticky. Just really buff it in good

    Sunday saddies

Oh, I have made three loaves of sourdough bread over the last few weeks. Each pretty successful. Definitely delicious, but really time consuming. Bernie is taking care of feeding, he seems to enjoy that. Leaving me to baking for now.

Today to work I am wearing dress pants and a blouse I haven't worn in almost 2 years. They were tight the last time I wore them, making me in the fall of 2022 going to look for size large clothes that would fit me. The size medium I am wearing is NOT tight!!!! insert Snoopy happy dance

Though in getting them out from the tote under my bed, I discovered they are the ONLY dress pants I kept. In a "doom and gloom" moment, I had given away the rest thinking I would never loose the weight. Good thing I am getting a good refund. I need to go shopping.

Great job on the sourdough baking, Marla! Have you put in any extra add-ins to your bread or made traditional sourdough loaves? I haven't baked recently. I have a full jar of discard and keep feeding until the mood strikes. It is definitely a 2 day process to make a loaf.

Angela, that sounds frustrating about your baseboards and closet doors. Is your friend your handyman for repairs or do you know someone you could hire? Small jobs so shouldn't cost too much.

I have not looked at my investment accounts. I'm too scared although I know, Rob, our financial advisor, is looking out for us. I am more scared about not receiving Social Security checks. So far so good. Russ and I both pull our SS and get pension checks. Right now the investment accounts are a cushion or for emergency until we are required to pull money out at 70.

We woke up to snow on the ground, ugh! I took a beautiful walk yesterday through the orchards and on our road. It was sunny and 40's. It is suppose to warm up by the end of the week. My sister Becky and I have tentative plans to go on our first bike ride next Sunday.

I will volunteer at Power Book Bags today to help the little ones have access to books.

I know several handyman and men that work construction through my church! One of them has helped me in the past with things.

Winter came back. 😭😭 It looks more like Christmas out there, not Easter!

Yesterday we all had to leave a little before 1pm. The power went out of the office due to MVA. Building regulations don't let us stay in the office longer then 45 minutes as that is as long as the emergency lighting will work. The worse part was that we had clients that had just gotten in the elevator when the power went out! Thankfully they weren't stuck for very long.

I would panic if I got stuck in an elevator!!!

Going to Aquafit this morning and then visiting a friend from Virginia who is home visiting her Mom. My friend Carrie was a friend in high school. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 4 years ago and fought it with chemo and went into remission. Her cancer is back and she won't do chemo again. She plans to fight it holistically this time. She knows her time on Earth may be limited but she is at peace with that. She has a very strong faith and told me she is at peace with God and seeing her brother, daughter and father in heaven. It makes me sad that she has to fight again, but none of us know how much time we have. This visit could be the last time I see her or we will be lucky to have more years to visit.

oh no. I’m so sorry your friend is going through that. I hope you have a good visit. Sometimes it’s hard to remember, but every day is a gift.

I had a nice visit with Carrie and her sister Amy at their parents' home of 60+ years. It was almost all cleaned out and the moving truck was there to take furniture away. They may have it sold to distant relatives without putting it on the market too. I stayed way too long, but we chatted over coffee and caught up. We have all dealt with our mother's dementia and living in assisted living situations. Their mother is currently in one and has dementia. They can't tell her they are selling her home. She wants to be there so badly and asks about her home and garden occasionally.

Carrie has a good attitude about fighting her cancer holistically. She has a friend who is a PA and is helping her with the research of supplements, etc. They just moved her husband's mother to VA to assisted living. She has mental health issues and is a handful. Amy, Carrie's sister, watches over their mother and her husband was just diagnosed with Lewey Body disease (part dementia and Parkinson's characteristics with hallucinations, fatigue, etc.). They both have so much stress going on in their lives. When I got home, I told Russ we should be grateful right now that our life is calm and stress free. None of us know what is in our future.

We went out for breakfast this morning and shopped for some local, edible gifts to take to Mpls for Hannah and Rory and Hannah's parents (they are hosting us for Easter).

    How is your week going?

Our snow patches have shrunk quite a bit. I hope we see more signs of Spring after we return from Minneapolis in another week. We leave next Tuesday morning and will return the Monday after Easter.

I have to go pick up my apnea test to bring home and do Monday night. I will turn in the data Tuesday morning as we leave town. I hope they get good data so I don't have to make an appt to sleep at the clinic.

I went to Aquafit this morning and have my Active Older Adult class tomorrow. Balance, strength, and coordination are the focus.

I hope the weather cooperates for my first bike ride of the season this Sunday!

    wow, you still have snow!

I know what you mean about being grateful for good health.

I need to get my Easter grocery list together and start preparing this weekend. I’m having the immediate family over (about 10). I think ham, scalloped potatoes, roasted veggies and then mom and Michele bringing corn casserole, fruit, eggs and.. as usual we will have way too much food. And since I’ve told them about the sourdough starter, I feel like I should try sourdough rolls.

    Friday eve

Don't procrastinate. It's not only hazardous to ones sleep but also to ones times line. The Easter craft we are doing tonight at JOY Club (kids program I work in at my church) is NOT ready. It's for tonight. I'm ready to go home from work right now. (I started 10 minutes ago.)

Marla, your Easter dinner sounds good. I don't know what Hannah's parents serve on Easter. Either way it will be fun to be with her family. They are fun, nice people.

Good luck on your Easter project Angela.

I went to my older people's workout today. It was a workout. I worked up a sweat. We did lots of arm exercises with weights and bands, lunges, core moves and coordination games with balls. Some of those much older people who have been doing it awhile are fit.

Tomorrow is suppose to be in the 50's!!! Bike ride will be a little cooler on Sunday.
