Dave, I'm really sorry to hear that. Even when you know it's time, it's not easy. They really do become part of the family. I'm glad you got 15 years, but I'm sorry you lost her.0
-
@clepant - I hope it's the 24 hour or 48 hour bug. Here's to good drugs and a clean toilet.0

Here's to Anaconda on making goal!
Dave - so very, very sorry. The pain of losing them almost makes you not want to have a dog. I guess the answer is to think about those 15 years of unconditional love.
Vhuber and sufferlandrian neighbors? Now that's fun to contemplate.
I'm slowly climbing out of the hole. Now at 45/75. I can do this.
Have a great weekend!0 -
So sorry to read about your dog Dave. May your Sadness soon turn to happy memories.

Dave so very sorry for the lost of your family member... They are family and lost is so very hard... I can not ever think of the time when my dearest puppy boy will not be here... Prayers going to your family...0

Dave, I'm so sorry for your loss. Animals are the best. My cockatiel just turned 25 and every day I get I'm grateful for.0

Ah...Dave. My heart is hurting for you and your family. I have lost too many over the years. My Merit is climbing that age ladder. Because of being sick, I slept in the guest room the other night in a very high bed. My pup could not jump up to join me so my hubby lifted her up and she slept with me all night. I feel your loss.
Nov. 21: I crawled back to life this morning. And managed to get in 3.75 miles this evening with nice easy walking to kick me over the top.
TTD: 200.1 miles
@Dean: No drugs and the toilet is clean. Just good ole mint ginger ale and waiting it out. I guess it was a 36 hour deal. Felt better as the day went on and managed to eat something too.
@Vhuber: Looks like you and Dean can do some biking together. Hope your move is one that you want and not one that you have to make.
@Janet: Hurray for you girl. Keep nipping off those miles. There is plenty of time.0 -

Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,

I want to take a moment to say this special thanks as we celebrate Thanksgiving this week. This site has been a real blessing to me for nearly 2 1/2 years. It has kept me motivated and moving. I have lost 86 pounds since starting on my lifestyle change in the summer of 2011 and for the first time in my life I have kept the weight off and no more yo yo weight. I am probably as healthy if not better than my 20's and 30's. I took up running and am hooked along with my road cycling. I don't think I would still be working today had I stayed on the path I was spiraling down. I am more toned and my cardio is great. When I found this site, I thought it would a great way to track miles but I also found it to be a community of support and encouragement. It has kept me working to maintain good health and fitness. I thank all those who came before and all of the current spreadsheet keepers for your time and diligence in keeping this site up and running. Your faithfulness has been a such a blessing to me and I am sure others on here. Thank you so much for investing your time for all of us...and thank you for your friendship.

And now congratulations are going out to wanderan on making goal!
@clepant - you lost 86 pounds??!! My goodness! I've always looked up to you as one of the fittest people in this challenge. I had no idea how hard you worked to get there. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us.
So guess who is in the green? That's right, I made it. I think Dave's spreadsheet is confused because I'm only at 69% of goal and we're 73% of the way through the month, but I'll take it! Wish me luck on my long run tomorrow - I've been slacking since Berlin so it won't be easy, but at least conditions are supposed to be perfect.
Hope you all had a good weekend are moving closer to your goals.0 -
Nice sunny and cold day, the perfect day to get a flat tire. Oh well, I wasn't too far from home, and the neighbors had a laugh watching me push the bike, walking in my cleats with my neon winter shoe covers on.
On another note, 52 years ago today we had a President assassinated. It never even made the news (at least around here anyway). Too bad John F. Kennedy has become a very small footnote in history.
