How long can you plank for?

I feel it! Soreness with a little spot in my abdomen that hurts worse, but it hurt worse last night too, so I'm not surprised. I'm sure I tore some muscle fibers, since I could feel it! Might try before bedtime!0

Don't go crazy girl I can say I was very happy I put the bottle of Motrin next to my bed last night. I'm starting to feel it again now. It's muscle ache, the good kind, but all the muscles you never use lol. Gonna rest tonight back at it tomorrow.0

Yup! Not happening tonight! Tomorrow is another chance!0

This is cool. I can easily do a minute but have never thought about raising the bar...why not go for it?0

1 min plank with a labrador/saluki crossed settled beneath that plank. Just getting over flu so very happy with that time. Other than to love the dog, why would I be on the floor?.Needless to say push ups n situps got silly.0

Got to 3.5 minutes on the first try...I'm in the case! Feels great!0

Wow!! Seriously impressed. Congrats.0 -
It's been a couple of days since I have been able to plank After a super busy day at work yesterday (8 & 1/2 hours on my feet!) I just couldn't pull myself off of the couch last night!
This thread encourages me to keep trying though! I made it to 2:00 just now! These are still baby steps, but still are steps forward!
Good job @wanderinjack!!
@SamandaIndia, I'm glad you're feeling better! My dog doesn't run over and try to join in, but I can hear his tail wagging, just waiting for an invitation to come on over!0 -
Hope everyone is feeling good tonight!
Just finished my five minute planks, took only 15 second break in between each position, my arms are really feeling it.

Holy smokes! That's awesome. I still can't do five minutes straight. Maybe someday.0 -

I know right. I think it's so cool how quickly those muscles can strengthen and recover.0 -
Start where you are at.0

After about a week hiatus, I am back in the game!
2 minutes today! I was committed to pushing through since I was such a failure last week! lol0 -
Such a great treasure In having that beautiful family photo. Excellent work, girls, in all of your planking. I am still getting in 3 sets of the counter push offs. Only think about it at work though...0

Wow @wanderinjack! She is badass!! (Bowing saying "I'm not worthy!", lol) Thats awesome!
@SamandaIndia, baby steps, that's the only way I've found to do it! Keep it up!
@Time2LoseWeightNOW, hey, you're getting paid to do it at least! Good for you!
@Sunny_Bunny_ yay for you trying again!!
I made it to 2:10 doing a knee plank! Did raise up to a full plank for five seconds, but only managed once! Managed to add ten seconds to my time today! More of those baby steps!0 -
@Sunny_Bunny_ I know your saying it more sarcastically. But I've learned through this past year that you can't really fail unless you stop trying. Welcome back, time to get that six pack0
-
Ugh this thing cut off all my other messages to everyone. I'm sorry I'm too tired to retype. Great job everyone!
See you all tomorrow0 -

You're so right! That's why I don't let my lazy spells get to me too much. I know I'll get up and going again. I am much better with consistency in the warmer months. The cold shuts down my motivation more than anything else. Even if I'm not actually outside
I must have been a bear in a past life. I just want to hibernate!0 -
Woo hoo! 2 days in a row! I set a new personal record! Lol
Got to 2:10 by panting and straining and making some interesting sounds and forcing myself to see just how far I could take it. I definitely think I pushed until I couldn't possibly go another second. I was having difficulty at about a minute. Wasn't as hard yesterday. I was feeling some soreness during that I didn't realize I even had until doing it again. So that was nice. I do enjoy the soreness, oddly enough.0 -

I've found that too, some days its no problem and others its a real struggle. I guess maybe muscle fatigue. nice job though 2:10 is amazing! you should hear the noises I make when doing the 30 second side planks lol, that sh** aint easy0 -
I can't even get into side plank position! Lol
You're killin it!0 -
I'm having some issues with some upper back pain this evening, so I'm going to put this off for today.
@Sunny_Bunny_, good for you! 2:10 is great!
@auntstephie321, man, you are ROCKIN the planks! Side planks look tough!0 -

Put some ice on it. That helped me a lot when my shoulder started acting up after I first started the side planks.
I'm going to try to do two sets tonight I think I can do it.
I'm really anxious to do more photos because I feel like my abs are looking even better. Something I realized today, I can't suck my gut in anymore lol, I was trying to to make my belly look flatter but I can't I don't have to suck in anymore cuz the muscles are firm. and when I sit my belly doesn't fold over itself anymore, it still puffs out but it doesn't roll over itself.0 -

That's awesome! I hope I can get to that point this summer! I may have a bit too much skin to not get any toll though.0 -
Wow @auntstephie321! That's what it's about!!
I'm not hurting like yesterday, so I tried and managed 2:30!! Was on my knees, but I did raise up to full plank four times for ten seconds each! Feeling stronger every time!0
