Hey team, it seems like all of you guys are sleeping when i am up :P this time difference is a strange strange thing, so for monday i had omlete wrapped brown bread for breakfast with milk. I forgot to take pic, oh well. Today is my gym day, i'll be walking to my gym instead of taking metro to fill up that 1 km walk.
@MargaretLunan You can do it if not a kilometer try for half a km, even if that's difficult how about .25 of a km.
@kittary You added grapefruit to oatmeal or you ate these separately?
@makenchange what's a protein bar?
Team, youve done awesome first day, so 1 day down, 34 days to go! Let's rock n roll0 -

This is an AWESOME idea!night_watcher wrote: »@sharkweek 8 pounds seems an achievable goal are you following any specific diet plan ?
Just watching what I eat and sticking around 1800 calories. I'm aiming for a little under 2 pounds a week. If that doesn't turn out to be achievable, I'll revise the goals. I have a pretty complex weight loss spreadsheet that projects calories to lose/maintain and projects long-term loss based on a healthy rate of weekly weight loss, and sets quarterly goals based on it. (In case it's not obvious, I'm a huge Excel geek!) I've lost weight before my life got crazy stressful, so I've got a decent idea of what works for me... here's hoping it works as well the second time.scouter233 wrote: »If anyone would like to friend me on Fitbit, you're more than welcome to, my email address is scouter233@gmail.com Please message me on MFP to let me know to look out for your invitation.
Good idea. I'm love to be FitBit friends with anyone else who's got one - I regularly do workweek challenges on there! If you'd like to be friends, message me your email or just post here and say you'd like to, and I'll send you my email. Not posting publicly, just to decrease spam.
My breakfast today was a tofu scramble with kale, tomatoes, mushrooms, and curry seasoning!
@sharkweek does your excel looks kinda like this?

You should be called: Mary
You are from (Timezone): EST - Florida
Your weigh in day: Friday
Favorite exercise: Walking, yoga
Favorite healthy food: Does guacamole count?
Struggling Areas (night snacking/lack of motivation/ junk food etc): Popcorn and beer!
Do you want to be the team motivator? (Yes/No): Maybe in the future- I am a little late to this as it is
Goal for the week: Stay under calories!
Goal for the challenge (35 days): Lose ten pounds
First Day Side Challenge >> Post your starting measurements: Maybe later!
Nice to meet everyone! Please feel free to friend me. @SmurfBunny1027 - that sounds like a good breakfast! I usually eat breakfast but the last couple of weeks I've been skipping it as I'm trying IF. I'm a little hungry until lunch but otherwise I'm less sluggish and it helps keep my calorie count down.0 -

it is not serious she is almost 13 and almost every month she complains of an upset stomach for a couple days and a slight fever. i have spoke to the doctor and we both think it is to do with her period that she has not started yet0 -
Changed my weigh in day from Monday to Tuesday. Also walked my extra 1 km when I took my car for an oil change at lunch.0

Abs and squats workout today. 1 km walk at lunch hour today. Still did my 1 mile on treadmill after work. It wasn't too bad getting the extra km.0

Hah! It does look quite similar! We must be kindred spirits.
Yesterday I walked over a mile more than my usual, so I had the daily challenge beat. I came in a bit over 6 miles. Today's no processed sugar challenge will be a little tougher, but I'm game... made a tofu scramble for breakfast and packing a kale bean stew for lunch. I have drinks plans tonight, but I'll stick to vodka soda.0 -
my sugar is only at 77 grams today most of it natural occurring. so i do not see how i can cut any sugar today0
-
I wasn't going to exercise at all yesterday, but I'm in another challenge that requires 20 minutes a day, so I walked/jogged in place in front of the TV for 20 minutes. According to my FitBit I got in 1981 steps, which would be almost a mile. Can I count that as the extra 1 km??0

After walking 20,000 steps last week and 25 flights of stairs, I have hit a little medical setback with the exercise. I can walk only a little bit and that with a cane. Hopefully, the steroids will kick in and I can heal quickly! Still working my calorie plan!

I understand what you're going through! You can't control the medical setback, but you do control your nutrition! So happy you're sticking with your calorie plan stay strong!

@night_watcher I'm doing an 8-12 week low intensity weight lifting/core building workout with cardio workout at least two times a week.0

Oooo, that sounds awesome, 2 times cardio and 3 days lifting sessions? I love lifting, and that mild pain afterwards, oooof i love it.
@Suky736 yes dear, you should take proper rest before you start moving again, we dont want any long term injuries, i hope you recover fast Ameen0 -
For thursday we have 10 jumping jacks every 90 minutes while awake challenge i love this one, cant wait to hear where you guys did your jumping jacks0
-
I was on the road today taking my son back to college. Got a lot of walking in on campus and at Costco. My wallet lost weight while I indulged in a few sweets today! No side challenge for me0
-
Ok, taking me a few days to catch on to this....lets see how I do on the jumping jacks tomorrow. I took a picture of challenge because I was having hard time finding it. So no excuses now! Lol.0

So proud of my sugar intake yesterday!! Admittedly, I don't know much about processed sugar vs. non-processed sugar, but I think I barely had any. I did have some ketchup with dinner but that's the highest sugar thing I had. Not sure how others here do, but 36g of sugar is tiny for me, and since I cooked 2 of the meals, I know those were nice and healthy. (Dinner was less so, but I intentionally made choices I could handle in my calorie plan.)
Not sure I'm going to be able to do the jumping jacks challenge - my office has glass walls. I did just do my first 10, though.0 -
