Still feeling so very sheepish and guilty for forgetting my lunch with Janet. So not me and can't believe I missed out on something I was so looking forward to. I can apologize but cannot forgive myself for making Janet have to eat donuts and Diet Coke!
Diane your creations are definite works of art. Sounds like Carrie had a fabulous time and the pain was worth it. Can't believe you will be leaving soon. Hope we get lots of pics and check ins. I will warn you that most of the national parks in the west only have Verizon service, so if you are on AT&T the booster may not help in those areas.
Bert, being part of a blended family is difficult at times but I think you handle it with such class and grace. Plus it sounds like you have the best relationship with your kids. My gf's daughter refers to her stepmom as her bonus mom and it just puts a knife in my GFs heart every time she posts it. I so want to say something to her daughter (we are friends) but my GF would kill me.
Karla, so much fun getting your oasis even more beautiful. Trust me, if I could have made it to lunch I would never have cancelled. I have been kicking myself all day.
Suzi, you are such a good spokesperson for WW. I had a leader I loved but she quit and I just couldn't bond with her replacement. I never found my Tribe at that meeting either. I actually lost most of my weight before ever attending a meeting. I lost my focus after taking care of my nephew who diet of brain cancer. I was starting to pull it back together and then my friend died in a freak motorcycle accident. I am having trouble finding my motivation or reason to lose again.
Janet let me know when you are willing to chance it again with me. I can usually do Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. I truly feel awful about today.

Good Morning, Ladies. Today I will be traveling to Indy to visit my cousin/cousin's daughter and her family. (I'm not sure what relationship my cousin's daughter is: second cousin?) I usually meet them for lunch, but then I can only visit for an our or so. I'm spending the night this time at my cousin's daughter's house. My cousin is progressing very quickly with dementia and I want to visit before she is admitted to a full care facility. The last time I saw her was in April. She doesn't talk anymore which is so sad. Hopefully we can have a good visit with the family as my family is so small. Maybe her daughter can look to me as a mother figure.
Karla: I didn't enjoy the meetings. I did get some new recipes, but that was about it. I did have initial success. With the help and support of this fabulous group, I'm hoping to be successful once again.
Diane: The floor looks good. He's coming to grout today, then my other guy will return to do electrical, put in the tub surround, and put up dry wall. It's coming together! Cabinets won't be her for another 3 weeks though.

Sorry I didn't make it back yesterday- was an emotional day after seeing Dad on Sunday. I won't go into it now otherwise I'll need to fix my mascara again today.
Diane everything you made is stunning- you could see these I'm sure- love the booties. It was good to hear Cari had a great time. How's her foot today?
Janet- you're a very kind hearted lady.
Karla- so glad the grill and swing are just what you wanted.
Patti- forgive yourself - Janet does and there was a reason you don't know why you didn't remember- next time.
Bert- I'm a step-mom and its a tough spot. But we have the opposite problem we're on the outside looking in and we're not invited to ANY celebration, birthdays, holiday- zip, nada, nothing. But I consider it their loss as I'm a lot of fun, great person and a great cook....
They can have all the getaways they want with the other side. Not my monkey or circus.
I'm ready for the weekend and last week I sold a bunch of copies of the Last First Kiss- so things are turning the tide and yes Love in the Looking Glass is up and running- I was reading somewhere that I should keep the heat level the same for all books but I disagree- I'm mixing it up with sweet and a little spice- this one is sweet as Ellie finally falls in love... spoiler alert. Meg is jumping on a webinar for me at 1- about how to grown my audience so that shold be good- it's hosted by Writers Digest.
I have two book fairs planned in King of Prussia in May and August next year- I'm on a wait list for Huntington WV for November both in 2017 and 2018- who knew. But getting in the loop.
Anyway - need to be the marketing chick for now- I'll pop back in later.

Hi gang! I'm at my Arkansas home away from home, the Hampton Inn in Rogers. My scheduled time was yesterday and again tomorrow. Today I'll work some, but do more visiting than anything else. I have lots of coworkers I won't be seeing much anymore and want to see on this trip. Yesterday I worked with our associate peer group wrapping up the project I've been facilitating for them and let them know that the group goes on, but they will be receiving a new facilitator.
Yesterday evening I had an early dinner because the salad I had at lunch didn't stick with me, then went walking on the grounds at Crystal Bridges art museum. It's so beautiful there and my absolute favorite place to walk when I'm here in NW AR.0 -
Diane - we didn't have any service in Yellowstone at all and Patti may be right about Verizon. I talked to a lady while we were there and I don't remember what carrier she used, not AT&T like us, but she had great service. I will be interested to hear what your results are with the booster. Not sure that Dave will be willing to install a booster though, he thinks it's OK to go without cell service. My worry is that something will happen at home or there will be some emergency and we won't be able to get in touch or the kids won't be able to reach us when they really need to.
Where are y'all headed this trip?

Cindy - you've really got the writing machine cranking. It's so much fun to listen to your plans.

Today is a new day and hoping to start it on a better note. Had two delicious over easy farm fresh brown eggs and a slice of sugar free whole wheat toast with coffe. Will be going to Mom's shortly. TRX tonight and will grill some Cornish hens for dinner. They were previously pressure cooked and then frozen, so will see how it works out. Love experimental meals, lol.
Suzi, gorgeous pics from your walk. I am sure everyone is sad to see you go.

Good morning friends.
Oh Diane- your car seat cover and booties are just too adorable. I have not had the time to get back to my sewing! Now that Izzy is not in dance things will slow down. But, I have two pool parties the next two Saturdays. I hope this monsoon will be passed by Saturday.
Cindy - I downloaded your book this morning from Amazon and the next things I knew I was on Chapter 8!! I am really hooked!! I will post a review for you as usual. My cup is now fading too, but still usable.
I better get back at it. Like Diane I write things down, have a to-do list I check off and am extremely busy. Both m lunch dates have cancelled due to the weather.0 -

Suzi and Patti, we are playing it smart and have one phone with AT&T and one with Verizon. Their coverage areas are so different. John got a really sweet deal with AT&T so it actually costs less than adding a line to my Verizon plan.
We are starting out on the UP of Michigan and going to Isle Royals in the middle of Lake Superior. Then a brief stop over July 4 with my sister near Madison WI, then off to the Dakotas on our way to Yellowstone. After that, Washington state and down the coast. Not many reservations or fixed dates! I fly home from Spokane for the baby shower on July 21.

Diane, love the UP. If you are in Madison area long enough I highly recommend The House on the Rock. So unique! The story, the buildings and the collections. So wise to have both cell carriers.

Karla- great to hear your hooked- I'll add you to the replacement mug shipment
that will be next week due to hectic schedule and I'm currently running test to make sure the logo holds. Its been through the dishwasher once so far. Logo is holding steady. The company sent me another shipment free. They said it was improper curing.

Janet if I get into WV I'd LOVE to see you in person..... are you familiar with the area?
Suzi- when are you officially done, done?
Bert- what is the progress on the bathroom- I've decided I'm going to do an overhaul too at some point. I've done the kitchen since buying this house but other than paint I didn't do the bath- it will need it sooner than later.
Diane- smart having the two carriers- you should always have some type of service.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my WLJ and after this weekend I need to seriously retool my thinking and eating plan. Maybe starting to refocus on low glycemic foods- which are better for sugar spikes. My friend Yvette is doing and 8 week hypnosis program and it seems to be working with her- she's invited me to an open session so I might go- I need to get a handle on mindless eating when stressing. I'm good at meals its the snacking that does me in and I need to have the motivation to really move again.
I'm not looking for the magic bullet but something that works for me- I'll let yo know how my head shakes out. LOL

Good morning ladies, had a wonderful time with Mom. We laugh so much over the silliest of things. TRX was a great kick butt class. My trainer is having surgery on Monday and will be off until Sept. Her hubby will be taking over her class. He has a very different style, more military and rigid in his program. She tends to mix things up a bit more. I like both of them so much. They never stop motivating, encouraging, praising and making sure you are doing it properly. I will miss her but know we are in good hands while she is recovering. Lunch today at a new upscale Asian restaurant and then working tonight.
Cindy, started the new book last night and, as usual, hooked me right away. I am with you in trying to find a way to get back to better eating and stop the snacking.

Hello ladies from a drenched, tornado warnings and flash flood beeping Karla!! This tropical storm Cindy is pouring 4-5 inches of rain a day. Tomorrow is supposed to be over six inches.
My housekeepers came today and my home is pristine. I love coming home to such a squeaky clean home. They really go the extra mile.
We have two tornados spotted on either side of me.
Cindy- I am in love with this book. Your writing puts me right on the scene of every storyline. You are impeccable with descriptive depictions of what is happening. I can see a mini series made of this Loudan quant town and Carrie's family.
I am going to go meaningful Glenn arrives home.

Good Morning, Ladies. I'm home from visiting my cousin. She has dementia really bad. I think she recognized a familiar face, but didn't remember who I was. I wanted to visit before her husband makes the decision to admit her full time to the facility where she goes twice a week.

Hi everyone,
Lovely lunch with the girls. New restaurant was a hit. Upscale Asian with lots of choices from sushi to Thai. Each plated with as much care and flare as it is prepared (didn't mean to rhyme, lol). The crab Rangoon appetizers we shared were served on a large plate with a small salad dressed with mango shreds and a miso mango dressing. Highlight of my day was being with such amazing women that I get to call friends. Then it was grocery shopping and a long, physical night at work. Today is up yearly inventory and the regional manager is there for oversight. He expects absolute perfection but does not allow any money for staffing. We were there until almost 11:30 last night. We also had to change almost every sign and put up new sale signs. Glad I am done until Monday. Going to rest today and then do TRX tonight. Will head to the cabin tomorrow. We are puppy sitting for my son's two little ones while they go to Cumberland on a houseboat trip. Hoping for a very quiet weekend but you never know.
Karla, looks like you may get a short reprieve from your soaking bad weather tomorrow. Enjoy it while you can. We will have rain tomorrow, remnants of Cindy, but that looks like all sunshine after that.
Cindy, so excited for this next book adventure. Hope you have time to enjoy Lake George. It is a pretty place. I am reading the book slowly so I can savor it. Actually, I only read when I go to bed and can only stay awake for about 30 minutes.
Bert, so very sad about your cousin and I know it is heartbreaking for you and the rest of the family. I always believe that inside they recognize their loved ones, even if they can't outwardly express it.
Janet, enjoy your refresh and hope you got some sleep.

Karla, guess you won't need to be watering your plumeria again for some time - saw some video from New Orleans and the Alabama coast - stay safe! No property damage, I hope.
Patti, that restaurant sounds terrific, but secondary to the company. Retail inventory is thankless drudgery.
Cindy, you'll be so put together for your trip. I think it's just what you need. 1 AM is typical for me (even when I was working). Given my druthers, I'd be true night owl and sleep late.
Bert, my heart hurts for you - it's so difficult to handle loved ones with dementia. Still, I believe that voice and touch still mean something.
Diane, what are the last things you pack when you go on a trip? Is Carrie's swelling from the weekend coming down? My ankle swells up when i do a lot of walking/standing too.
Suzi, hope this trip has been excellent & will leave you with good work memories.
Hair has been colored and trimmed, but with a side of drama. The guy who does my hair is a sweetheart, co-owner of the salon. He put my color on while telling me he was waiting for a callback from his doc, worried that a pain in his leg could be a clot - the day before he and his wife are leaving for two weeks in Canada. While my head was being steamed, he came over and said the doc wanted him to go straight to the hospital. Sure hope he will be OK! The young stylist who shampooed me did the trim and blow-dry.
Like Patti, we're just starting to get a visit from Cindy, with rain through tomorrow. Except for PT and grocery shopping, I can stay in.
But first, I'm going to have a little nap - was up late, awake during the night. Will make myself a nice salad with some chicken or tuna on top for dinner.

Hi Ladies-
Quiet day in OMG Land.
I took a pretty long bike ride yesterday- never made it out of second gear and took my time. My hips are a little sore today but overall I'm very proud of myself for making it happen. I had lettuce and radishes from the garden last night- delish. Hair appointment at 4 for a wash and blow out so I don't need to worry about hair tomorrow.
Patti and Janet- your paperbacks and mugs will be shipped next Friday and Karla you're new mug will also ship next Friday.
What is new in your world?
I'll check back if there is time today. If not I'll shoot for Sunday- check FB tomorrow- we'll post pictures and in Instagram if anyone has it.

Good Morning, Ladies. I'm heading out this morning for another hair cut. I just had it cut 2 weeks ago, but I don't think she cut much, especially my bangs. I like to flat iron them and leave them straight. When I do that, they are below my eyebrows. I'm hoping I get a relief in the cut price as it's only been 2 weeks, but have a feeling I'll be paying full price. Oh well, it will be the way I want it.
Thank you all for the sweet comments concerning my cousin. I'm very thankful that she is not mean like my BFF mother-in-law is. I'm not sure how we all could handle it. My cousin's son-in-law thinks this all started when she fell and hit her head really hard; so much that she broke her elbow and dented a stainless steel coffee mug. The symptons accelerated after she had the anesthesia for her surgery. I'm not convinced about that, but they have been around her far more than I have. In reality, it doesn't matter when it started; it is what it is.
On a good note, my brother is doing better. He is going to try Cannabis Oil and will try to wean off the opiods. His doctor supports his decision and is anxious what his numbers will be next month. He's pretty much working full time at home which I'm all for. Idle minds made him depressed, I think, so I'm thankful he has work.

Hi gang! Well.......the project I was expecting to complete this week blew up on Wednesday when we brought in the junior-level managers. So, my employment has been extended at least until July when we will meet with this group again and try a different approach in hopes of getting some buy in from one particular b***h who is a loan documentation expert with zero management and people skills. She's one of those who got promoted to manager because she was so good at the job of loan documentation. The World According to Suzi Opinion is that she needs to be relieved of management responsibilities before she winds up running anybody else off, but that's not my hill to die on. So, I'll just be happy that my current, occasional employment status will continue for a little while longer.
I did pretty good WW-wise on the first part of this trip, made healthy eating choices and walked both Monday and Tuesday evenings at Crystal Bridges in Bentonville. I absolutely LOVE walking on the trails there and it's a bonus when I can do it with a buddy or two. I let my frustration get the best of me on Wednesday afternoon though and made some choices I'm not proud of and I didn't even track that day. I got back on the horse yesterday, tracked and even pulled off a blue dot. Own it and move on....

Karla, Patti Janet and anyone else getting rain, please blow some our way. Fall crops are in serious danger and yards are rapidly burning up around our parts, with no good prospects for rain in sight.
To whoever it was who asked, our next trip in Tulip will be to the mountains in New Mexico the last week of July and first week of August. Jessi has some vacation days this next week Monday - Wednesday and she and I will do some in-state traveling ending up at the lake where we will meet up with Dave and the dogs.
Today I'm working in the office so I need to get moving.

Good morning, really quick stop. It is pouring buckets out there but I am heading to the gym anyway. Then quick pack up, stop off at Moms with some groceries and her mail and then off to the cabin. They are raising the river ip about 6 feet by Monday. That spells trouble for our docks so they have to be taken out tomorrow. I believe they are raising it to keep too much water from heading to the Mississippi River. It is supposed to be beautiful all weekend so it makes it hard to want to remove the docks. Hope we can get some help from the neighbor's since my son is not going to be there. It is a lot of hard work just getting the poles out! We wil do what needs to be done. The neighbor's invited us to dinner, they are the bad cooks, but I graciously accepted.
Time to run. Will check back if I can.

Good late morning ladies. Yes, we have sunshine!! Sorry the rain is now yours, and Suzi, I hope it reaches you.
Izzy and a friend spent the night last night. We will be going swimming shortly. The sun is in and out, but first time we have seen it in days. Our family BBQ is tomorrow, so it is still on with the improved weather.
Patti- I remember how difficult of a job it is for you to get the docks out. I hope you can get some help.
Cindy- I finished the book and it was absolutely your best one yet. I like the suspencful romantic combination. I couldn't put it down. I tried posting a review and my tablet through me off, I will try again. You are awesome. Have a great day tomorrow. You are beautiful in every way.

Hi, all - Have had PT and made a run to the produce market. Storm due to hit in the next hour or so and last for several hours, so I'm glad to be where all I'll need to do is bring the mail in later. PT was pretty rough and sleep marginal, so hoping for an afternoon nap shortly.
Bert, you are so right about dementia - every case is individual and some patients can get downright mean, while others are very plaid - I've seen both ends of the spectrum.
Suzi, people who get promoted to things they're terrible at seem to run the corporate world all too often. Good luck with wrangling the cow.
Karla, have fun with the family BBQ - is it at your home? You have a lot of those and they're always fun for everyone who attends.
Patti, good luck with the docks - Edd should make hydraulic ones! Enjoy the cabin.

Good evening all. Yes, I am frazzled. John has been working so hard on the kitchen for our son. Today was install day - we told Brad he had to take today off. They thought they would finish in one day but they are only half done. (Which is what I predicted) They knew the water and power for the fridge would have to be moved (moving where the fridge is) but thought it could wait - turns out the old placement of those was where an upper cabinet needed to go, so they had to move them today. They also discovered that John forgot to make two cabinet doors! He has the central panels made and sanded, but not the rails and stiles (the "frame"). Luckily one of the mud room cabinets is the same size, though the doors are slightly different style. So they are just going to move those two doors for now and John will make new doors later. We did make a filler panel tonight for the corner where two cabinets meet - John knew this would be needed but really couldn't make it until the cabinets were installed and he could get dimensions. He will spray that one first thing in the morning. There were a few other things that needed to be adjusted that took time too. Hoping to finish in half a day tomorrow. There are four more cabinets to install (two upper and two lower), the set of doors to move, and all the drawer fronts to install. The other thing that will wait until we get back is the final trim bits - a continuous board on the kick, the trim piece at the top of the cabinets to hide the fact that the ceiling isn't level, and the valence over the sink.
Meanwhile I have been doing all I can to get us packed and ready without much help or input from John - tomorrow is laundry day so I can pack clothes on Sunday, including both summer and fall clothes. I also need to do the last grocery shopping. We are T-3 days - planning on leaving Monday morning sometime.
Eating has been all over the place. But I am getting more than my 10K steps even without gym time, so you know I am moving all day!
Carrie's swelling has indeed gone down. She worked 4 hours on Tuesday and again today, and said she was really tired and sore at the end of her shift (mostly running the register.) But she made it through! So that is a good step forward. She had a doctor's appointment with her surgeon on Thursday, and he said she is healing very well and more rapidly than he expected or usually sees. He said recovery time is normally around a year. (First time he has given any sort of timeline.) Tonight is the dress rehearsal and tomorrow the recital for the dance studio she has been working at. She is teaching vocals to the performance group, and they asked her to sing a solo as a filler between dance acts. She is also running the light board for the whole recital. It keeps her busy, and makes a little money.
Sorry no time for personals. I need to go fall asleep!

Good Morning, Ladies. Today is to be a gorgeous day! So gorgeous that I am hoping to give the air conditioner a break! Mike is playing golf with his work buddies, so I have the day to myself.
Diane: You are so lucky that John can do all of work for the kitchen. Mike is handy, but only on certain things. Where, again, are you traveling? I'd love to travel; however, Mike is pretty much a homebody. He always finds reasons to stay home. I'm going to have to work on that. Glad to hear Carrie's swelling is going down.
My brother got a pretty good report from his doctor. He is going to try Cannabas Oil to help alleviate pain as he is trying to get off opioids. He's gained a few pounds which I'm happy with. He's also working from home quite a bit. He does sound edits for webinars and also mixes sound for radio advertisements and other musical compositions.
Greg, Carrie, and the kids made it to Birmingham yesterday. Today they will travel the rest of the way to Panama City. Dan and the kids are flying in on Sunday. Annie isn't going as she's not fond of the boys' dad and wife.
They are doing a kitchen renovation, so that's the excuse this summer. I find it amusing! I think it's a good trip for the boys and kids to spend time together. Their dad isn't too involved with their daily lives.
Eating was not good yesterday. Breakfast is tracked and I'm hoping to make healthy choices today. Have a good day, everyone!
