Meticulous May?

If possible I would like to jump in. I made the terrible mistake of completely falling of the wagon and what a surprise. My eating was out of control. Since I was exercising I didn't do too much damage. But I realized that my body feels better with this lifestyle.
I am committing to logging my food and staying under my carbs. I read through all the posts and I could relate with a lot of you.

With ya @ChoiceNotChance. Calories absolutely count for me. I have yet to experience the "forget to eat"- on this plan or at any other time in my life I don't get that starving hungry like I used to and I don't crave carbs but I do get hungry near lunch and supper and can eat little too much at meal time.3
-
I weighed in today and another lb gone3
-
Urgh, it's been a bad couple of days....my own fault really0
-
I'm late to the party, but I've logged in every day except May 1 so far. Logging everything every day has been a challenge for me (and my login streak mileage varies), so *here's to being consistent* Glad I found this group!2
-
Doing rather well so far today. Had a not- too- bad extra meal very late last night, but wasn't too far off plan. Feel fine today but no weight loss. No more keto flu!
Prelogged, watching carb creep, keeping busy...making appointments for health check ups. Trying to relax and pace myself during this next month.2 -
Day 5 done.
Let's all ignore the quest bar (it was my last one, I swear they're all gone now). But good day other than that. Gym was good, looking forward to tomorrow's session too
Keep it up all!3 -
I am a recovering Quest bar addict @StephieWillcox. 42 days clean. Still have some lingering in my cupboards. Stay strong!3

The scale was back up a pound this morning , only exercise was some walking, but cals and carbs were pretty good.0

I think they do not agree with me because no joke I look 6 months pregnant right now.
Brush myself off and try again tomorrow. Bar the Atkins bar my day was good, tomorrow is a gym day (yay it's deadlift day) and hopefully my bloat will have gone down overnight
I can't eat those either! And yes, the bloat can be crazy!1 -

Made a bpc for breckie and chose fish for lunch out. Scraped off batter and gave the fries to the chippie monster. I even left 3/4 of the second piece of fish as I was not hungry, despite small size of fish. Happy body. Cycled back home. Eliptical trainer after that.
Then..
Vanilla powder shake with unsweetened almond milk, I love your texture n flavour and hate your impact on my body. Sneeze sneeze headache. Thought that would be ok. Learning.
Dinner was my own creation for meatless may: add courgette, celery and bimi (a wild looking broccoli) to coconut oil in pan, sprinkle with tumeric, fry, add coconut milk wait to bubble sprinkle in whisked egg. Yum. No histamines and no meat. Happy.

8.4lb to goal. Ish.
Let's see how long that takes to go down again.
I have the rest of today logged even though we are leaving fo the campground at 4:30. It SNOWED there yesterday (it's a 30min drive from our little mtn to the big one's campground). It will melt today. But the ground is going to be wet and my Littles will be mud-balls with feet. Le sigh.....
Anyway, tangent aside, I won't be logging this weekend as the wifi is spotty at best, but I will do the best I can to eyeball the carbs and stay on-plan there.
I have lots of washing and cutting of veggies and grapes (for the monkeys), boiling eggs, and packing of 6 people to get done. But of course I'm getting my forum rounds done. Priorities!6 -
6th May here, I find the daily commitment to logging very useful, sometimes I think I've barely eaten- til I log, then others, I realise I just have not had enough nutrition.
I'm lucky in some ways because I almost never feel hungry. Hungry in the belly, I more notice my energy, clarity of mind or mood drop ever so slightly. It happens so quickly.0 -

Carbs <40g.
Exercise - plan on running tonight.
After 4 weeks at the same weight, +/- .6, this morning I weighed in for the week and 2 pounds gone! I hope it's not a fluke.
It's funny, I'm in a weigh-in group every week with some co-workers. Some folks fluctuate +/- up to 4 pounds either way weekly.
I seem to be consistently around the mean every week with small incremental changes each week. I do eat about the same meals every day and
consistent in my routine. I seldom have a binge. This week is newsworthy. Yea.5 -
You have given me hope @slimzandra. The scale has been struck for the last 2 weeks. Frustrated because I am following the rules. Who invented scales anyway?0
-
Yesterday went well. Stayed within carb limits, got enough fat, and not too much protein. Quite a lot of sodium, but I don't seem to have retained water (same weight this morning as yesterday morning).0
-
I'm having trouble with losing. I finally dropped .6 pounds.0

I'm terrible... I was going to go run Wed. because I was too sore from Mon. to lift. But that didn't happen. Then I was going to lift weights last night, and that didn't happen.
I think I might need to abandon my weight lifting plans anyway because I'm trying to get ready to move next month (hopefully).0 -
Still logging on target. One slip... in my rear view mirror now, and a challenging food and social weekend on the horizon. Trying to ramp up my carb vigilence to ultra high.
This next couple of days is a chance for me to relax and enjoy the benefits of losing weight, including showing more love too myself, caring about my needs, building a new social life to fill the empty nest...I plan to sink into it and enjoy the heck out of it. New friends, dancing, music, hanging out, and being a part of group of people who are like me.
I remember a year ago, crying in loneliness, dreaming of having people to do things with, feeling so isolated and alone that I might disappear and just driving myself to move forward everyday with keto, exercise, logging, weighing...then getting close to my goal weight and forcing myself to take social risks that felt scary and I would be shaking with fear but I decided I wanted to be part of a crowd so I picked a crowd and now those people are my friends. I am down on my knees with gratitude for this.
This is living.5 -

I hate the gym. And I'm rural as well so it's a bit of a drive. Plus, costs too much.
I have kettlebells DH bought me, but for the past 10 weeks I've been doing bodyweight training with my oldest boy (11)(YAYOG-You Are Your Own Gym-It's a book. You can find it in a library or order it. I checked it out of a library first and decided it was a keeper so I bought it.)
I have muscles on my arms now that you can see. My muscles have muscles. I'll be starting 1-Arm inclined push-ups next week when I start the Master Class (advanced program). If you're interested, there are loads of links around. And awesome progression charts, too. Nerd Fitness and their bodyweight stuff is a good place to start. And if their exercises are too easy, you can always find a harder progression. You can do them entirely in and around your own home. I do the Pull work outside. The kids have monkey bars DH built. So I use those to do inverted rows and assisted pullups.
Anyway, just thoughts you can take or leave.

I was considering getting some dumbbells at some point and maybe a treadmill at some time after I get moved into my new place. But I'll be going back to class soon after that too... I graduate in Oct., so perhaps just in time for winter indoor exercise.1 -
I work out at home. The nearest gym is 45 miles away. I get away with a treadmill, bike, and dumbbells. I run outside when I feel brave and decide the bears won't eat me. I have lots of workout DVDs and do some on line stuff. There are lots of options.
My husband got me a treadmill for Christmas one year. His friends couldn't believe a guy would give his wife a TM as a gift. Guess it's like giving a membership to weight watchers. I loved it!1 -
Had a really fun day with a friend which led to me making some really bad food choices. Waaayyyy over in my calories and carbs.
Usually I would have conveniently 'forgotten' to log it but as I commited to this challenge, it's all there!
Tomorrow I will make better choices!1 -

Sympathy reblazed.
I love kettlebells. There are so many free youtube videos about how you can use them. I have 1 sets in low weight, the 2 single kettlebells of higher weights.
I keep them at work, and so can do a few weights in between other things. When I was 5 kg lighter, and fitter last year, I could swing them like a champion.. now.. as I am just starting to drop weight and have become very unfit, a few swings and I am wasted... but ... I do enjoy them.0 -
65 squats
200 Kettlebell Swings at 25 pounds
2 1/2 mile walk
Exercise every day but still can't budge the weight! Only .6 pounds! I think the medicine I'm taking for my Lymes disease and anaplasmosis is causing me to retain water. I noticed that my ankles are swollen. Hopefully this will change eventually.1 -
Forgot to reply last night. Day 6 was good.
Good gym session, and good food choices.
Weekends are always difficult for me as I often end up eating at weird times.
I'm going out for dinner tonight with hubs so will try to make the best choice but obviously I won't be able to log accurately. I don't mind though - it's our first date night in a very long time!1 -
Mum is back for 2 weeks. I explained that my food choices in the week she was here, that I decided so that I would be more inclusive of what she was eating, had taken me 3 days to recover from. Mum said, well that's no good is it. We agreed that we "couldn't be having that". I then explained what food intollerances I was exploring and turns out something makes her sneeze, so she was genuinely interested. Wow. Glad that cat is out the bag. I showed her how I modified my soup n salad a bit compared to hers and we both enjoyed chicken n veg soup plus salad. Progress! She gave me irish fudge and we had one each then hid the pack. Feeling more confident with boundary settings4
