Yesterday was good, stuck to my poverty goals even though we had haircuts and that meant eating out...it takes some planning, but I have such a great feeling of satisfaction when I have conquered temptation and defeated those urges and I emerge victorious with a calorie count that is within my goal...you'd think I had done something extraordinary based on how I feel, when really it was just telling my stomach 'no' and picking food with my brain...it's the simple things in life!0

been good on the food and the workouts
did Friday as a maintenance day and stuck to poverty cals over the weekend, which was easy because that 2nd moderna shot sent me into a fever and headache land that included zero appetite and zero energy
today was back to better, but still kinda fatigued...no fever or headache though and very minimal congestion and coughing...
it is what it is...0 -
Monday was good on the food arena, and did chest/tris and some walking...not as much activity as usual, but my energy level isn't where it was pre-vaccine either, so just taking it a bit slow and getting some relax time in as needed.0
-
Tuesday poverty was a success - technically I was 4 calories over, but that's not anything to fret about, Wednesday maintenance was a success...exercise and gardening was done both days...I can't wait to do stats on Friday morning and see how my progress is coming along!!!0
-
Wed - maintenance was good and easy, even had a shot of whiskey to celebrate hump day!!!
the 2nd moderna shot has thrown me into pms just like the first one did - so the answer is, no it's not just that I'm peri-menopausal and irregular, PMS has started about 5 days after each shot and so by the time this starts next week I will have 3 periods in 5 weeks, and that seems to line up with the vaccine triggering 2 of them...
not fun, but still better than not being vaccinated...
tomorrow is a checkpoint, so I'm excited to see how the scale and tape measure compare to my visuals, my abs are looking much more defined at the top and I can't wait to see actual number progress somewhere0 -
April ended down a pound 158.8 and down two whole inches in the belly...1.25 in the belly button and 0.75 in the low belly...super excited and looking for more positive progress in May!!!1
-
wow, I'm super slack around here
first week of may was great, 2 days maintenance and 5 days poverty...
second week of may was mostly just maintenance...the pms hunger is real...and the cravings are real...but on the plus side I have been able to reign it in at maintenance so at least I haven't had any over days...the work schedule didn't help with having to be up overnight for one release, and then 6am for another...the loss of sleep always kicks my hunger into overdrive...
I feel like the hormone surge is calming down, so aiming for a poverty day today...1 -
Lucy's waterfall today...so much UGH...but yesterday I did manage poverty calories and that's something...today is half a day of work then a weekend of beach house projects, so that should be awesome and keep me plenty busy as well as plenty active1
-
weekend was good, did some stretching at the beach house which is progress in the doing ANY formal workouts at the beach house...also some insulation work and fixed a couple floor joists, and did a lot of gardening...so fun times and an active weekend even if it's maintenance eating...need need need to get on top of staying at poverty more...it's almost June, need to get that beach body in shape0
-
poverty day yesterday and a double workout day
so proud of myself0 -
yesterday was over poverty but under maintenance, snack before costco was a good idea because zero impulse purchases were acquired, plus coffee after was plain and no snacks...so overall win0
-
Tuesday when I was under maintenance but over poverty...that really should have been a maintenance day and I'm counting it as such...currently it's Friday and I have 4 poverty days already built in, so either today or tomorrow will be maintenance...which still means I need to be diligent on both because we are moving the boy tonight and likely eating out, so unless I want to be OVER maintenance, I need to keep breakfast and lunch to poverty levels...tomorrow I have friends coming over for dinner, but I planned a healthy menu so that would be an easy enough day to keep to poverty, assuming we don't eat out somewhere I can find something super healthy tonight...in any case, glad the week is going well, and all that monthly nonsense is behind me for another month...looking forward to measurements and weigh in at the end of next week, should be super exciting!!!0
-
wow...so Fri-Sun were pretty much maintenance - probably, I didn't track...but the rest of the week was good on poverty days, so that's something...slack about working out this weekend too...need to really get on top of that
this week is a recovery week, so the workouts are kind of sparse anyway0 -
did good monday...double workouts (glutes and cardio) plus quality nutrition
this is a recovery week so the workouts are not as intense as usual...which I guess is good, I don't have to feel so bad if I don't workout over the coming holiday weekend...
Also wrote a P90X hybrid with P90X3 for Aug-Oct workout plan...and made reservations for Nekocon in November, so I should have plenty of motivation for keeping in shape over the summer since I need to still look good at the END of summer...instead of letting it all fall apart in aug/sept0 -
tuesday was good...despite mikey getting COOKIES at costco, still stuck to goal...only the one workout because of the shopping necessities, but I did get in all 5 laps of the road, so that makes me happy and it's been good weather, so super nice to get out and about1
-
measurements today...forgot about that or I would have skipped the wine last night...but I was in a mood for a wine wednesday and it was good!!!0
-
weekend was long and maintenance plus not much activity...seriously need to jump on the "do all the things" and "eat just the nutrition" wagon0
-
tuesday was good on food, but only 1 workout...wednesday was too much food and also only 1 workout...though we did go shoe shopping, so new tennis shoes which is awesome!!!
super need to get back on the motivation train...I find the strength workout good, but this new routine has less of them and more cardio type stuff which I really don't like and find quite boring...on the plus side, we've been gone to the beach so much that I've had lots of strength days to makeup as well, and that has kept me motivated on that side...but really...I need to get back on the not sitting around, doing the extra workout, eating the quality food rather than junk, and doing the little things like the stairs during meetings and such.
it's so easy to fall out of the good habits and just be lazy
oh, I tried some new nutritionals...no go...I think that's a lot of the reason I don't have the energy level I normally have, so going back to my million vitamins and so sad the other company isn't as good as they claim
If I can keep up the 2 lbs a month, I should be able to stay on target for the holiday season...that's kind of part of the problem, I need more concise goals...my clothes are loose...I don't have specific shapes I want to alter...I really like the abs I'm starting to have but "have abs" isn't a clear goal...maybe I need to set some measurement goals instead of weight ones, or hey, set a weight goal since I don't really have one...
hard to stay on target when the target is a bit aimless, need to get my head together0 -
went to RDB last night to meet up with friends...their scheduled food truck was a no show so I had to improvise dinner from an unplanned place...did I want the giant bowl of mac & cheese...of course...did I order it, NO, I was good and got the steamed cabbage since I KNEW the jamaican beef patty would already be plenty of calories and having both would be a disaster...
I had a night out at the brewery and I stuck to poverty calories even though i had 2 shandys...who knew that could be a thing, and I'm super proud of myself
also, it was like a peach shandy, which is odd, most of them are lemon, but was also tasty and only 4% alcohol so having 2 and dinner left me still able to drive since we were there just over 3 hours...
it was super nice to make good choices...even if I didn't get that 5th mile of walking or that second workout in for the day...I did my morning, and my lunch, and at least most of the walking, and I made good food choices which is the biggest win ever0 -
Friday-Sunday was beach work and maintenance eating...indulged in some ice cream which was so yum...also had some whiskey and lots of good seafood...back on the loss train today despite plans for dinner out...had a reasonable breakfast and lunch, plus already have dinner planned...it's better not to look at the menu when hungry...0
-
yesterday was good until I dove into the ice cream like a maniac...<sigh>...made tons of veggies for dinner...that part was good at least...and no alcohol, it's time to scale that back too...
heading to the beach to install the dehumidifier once the sensors arrive, hopefully tomorrow...need to come back friday night because graduation things saturday0 -
yesterday was ok...food mostly on target except some whiskey...exercise mostly on target except skipping some cardio and stretching...i was so tired I ended up napping on the couch...the pain from cramps was so intense...so, I'm giving myself a bit of a break and I'm not beating myself up about missing some workouts when it's this time of month...it's all good!!!0
-
so...I've been kind of terrible about keeping up with this...logging has been sketchy, but mostly it's getting done except a day here and there...hip lines are starting to show, so the fat loss train seems to be continuing...I'm really going to get back on track with the 1ogging and really push the workouts and get the freaking cardio done...lower back has been icky for a few days, so working on getting plenty of stretching for that too...0
-
yesterday was good for food and tracking...I skipped some cardio and stretching, but I think I'll make up the stretching today...did my 5 miles and visited over at mom's and hauled the eliptical over there...so all in all an active day and a stayed-out-of-the-junkfood day, but not getting 100% of the workouts done...
I have real goals this month, i want to get below 155, which means I really need to stay on the workout struggle bus even though I set a very aggressive workout schedule0 -
yesterday was good, shoulders and dynamix and 3 miles walking...moved a freezer and a tub at my sisters after work, so that took up some of the usual walking time, which is fine...all in all a good day, poverty calories, so yay, but protein has been way too low for the whole week, and not great the week before, so I'm going to start adding in 2 protein shakes a day and see if that helps...no wonder I'm so tired all the time, really need to nail the nutrition when doing the poverty calories on top of intense workout schedule...0
-
today is the 18th...of the prevous 17 days, 9 have been poverty days, 2 have been not quite poverty but not quite maintenance, and that leaves 6 for maintenance days, but that should have been 4 according to plan - though most of those are not-tracked days...which I just default to maintenance...
I've still lost a pound this month, would like to lose another pound and a half before the end of the month...get back on the nutrition plan and stick with it!!!0 -
19th is good...maintenance...but that's ok...no workouts but D&D fun and such!!!1
-
sunday was not well tracked, but I didn't go crazy, so that's something...did have trouble sleeping, this always happens when I get off my vitamins, need to get back on top of those and keep to it0
-
Monday was good, did all the tracking, and also all the eating, but still within goal and didn't quite get to where I wanted with protein, but made good progress...this week is a recovery/transition week, so I'm going to make it all glutes all the time...those are finally starting to grow a bit LOVE IT let's keep this going!!!0
-
Tuesday was good...all the tracking and all the glute weights, plus a bunch of gardening, so that was cool!!!0
