@VeryKatie I've not really been much of an online shopper. I hate waiting for things to be delivered. (and it doesn't help we live in a busy apartment building and there is always the chance that things will be stolen.) Plus I still have the problem of I have no idea what to get these people. haha But that's awesome that you're shopping is already done!

I actually had to look up what you meant by D belly. I think it's the first time I've heard that term used. I mean I had an idea in my head but I still had to look it up. A couple of my cousins probably fit that description and they "popped" around 16 weeks.

@WifiresGettingFit That makes sense that you don't like having things delivered! When I lived in my apartment I always shipped everything to Chris' parents house since it was nearby and closer. No way was I shipping it to my apartment.

Hahaha yeah I don't usually use the term D belly but I heard it once on MFP and it was quite descriptive lol. Though I have to admit that my usual lose pants are getting tight, even if I haven't gained much. It kind of feels like gas though...

Off to my tropical vacation, going to the Bahamas by way of Chicago from Virginia. Airports are silly, our flight was delayed so they rescheduled us earlier and routed to Chicago, lol.

Ive never heard of a D belly either, but it is descriptive. I can picture exactly what you mean.

I have a lot more shopping to do. We were planning to get our families and my sisters a Google home for each of their houses, but my dad bought (and already gave?!) Amazon Alexa's to my sisters and bought one for himself. So back to the drawing board on gifts I guess. I hate the mall and try to avoid going there at all costs. I do a lot of online shopping, and Kohl's or target. We have a porch so don't worry too much about packages being taken from the house.

@VeryKatie Yeah Andrew is the one that does most of the online shopping. He used to get things delivered to his work but since they moved locations it's now 40 miles away and not really convenient anymore.

Well if it isn't gas, it may be a sign that you're getting ready to "pop"!

@Kirstie155 I hope you enjoy your vacation!

I've been feeling like crap on and off since Wednesday. Just when I think I'm getting better, it hits again. It's mostly a stomach/head thing. I'm congested and I really miss being able to breath out of my nose! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sleeping most the day tomorrow. We had to cancel our plans today. We were going to have dinner with a friend and we also had plans to meet up with Andrew's family tomorrow but had to cancel that as well since we are both still sick. I'm hoping we both feel well enough by Sunday so we can still go to my parents but it's not looking very optimistic.

How is everyone else? Any plans for the weekend?

@WifiresGettingFit Yeah I have a cold that has been sticking around for weeks. Like... can't it just go away!? I hope you and Andrew feel better soon!! It's sad you had to cancel your plans :( But at least you could replaced them with sleep? Sleep is always good.

My plans for the weekend... well... I got too lazy on Friday night to go out with Chris (we were going to get ice cream but instead stayed home, watched Elf and then slept on the couch together lol). And now... it is 7:30 am on a Saturday and I'm back at work. I may have to work all weekend. It doesn't happen to often though and my boss is still letting me leave to go to my friend's baby shower and a Christmas party too. And I told him I'm not coming in until after church tomorrow (though technically I'm not supposed to work on a Sunday ever so I still feel bad). And that's basically my weekend.

@VeryKatie That sucks, I hope your cold goes away soon! Thank you for the well wishes! Yes, sleep is good, very good! I just woke up less than an hour ago but I went to sleep late so I only got a little over 10 hours of sleep. I don't feel as congested today so I'm hoping it last. I don't want to be miserable tomorrow!

That sucks that you're basically working all weekend. I'm glad you're still getting to your events though! I haven't watched Elf this year yet but it's on my Christmas movies list! I usually watch The Santa Clause and Jack Frost (with Michael Keaton) every year and this year I've added Christmas with the Kranks and Elf. Anyway I'm glad you don't have to work on the weekends too often, that would suck!

@WifiresGettingFit It seems my cold is getting worse again without ever actually getting better. How are you feeling now?

Yeah I finally got through the weekend. Now I just need to make it through a silly 20 minute presentation today and I can chill a bit. Luckily I'm the last one before the break so it should be ... a good time slot lol (no questions, people just thinking to themselves "I have to pee"). I might have to go to Montana randomly on Wednesday- Friday (hoping I don't have to miss my Friday Christmas party since I was going to announce to all my best friends there). I feel like my boss is going to make an excuse for me though.

I have to admit I'm still so nervous to tell my friends about the bay though. I'm fine telling everyone else. But get nervous when the one couple who had a miscarriage in September is around. I also haven't told my friends yet who have been trying for over a year.

@VeryKatie Yeah I'm worse of here too. Well at least I was this morning. I'm feeling a little better now but I'm not holding my breath that it'll last. I'm sorry your cold has gotten worse.

How did your presentation go? I hope you don't have to go to Montana. I feel like you're traveling every other day. haha Do you mean your boss is going to get you out of it? That would be nice!

I understand being nervous but they will be happy for you! Enjoy sharing your good news!

@WifiresGettingFit These cold things. They suck! Neither of us should be getting worse! Is anything new happening with you?

My presentation went really well. I spent a liiiiittle too much time explaining that rock has an uneven surface lol but other than that I'd say I nailed it. One of my friends was in the audience and he said everyone said I was confident and professional and liked the presentation. So yay :) I also hope I don't have to go to Montana (though that's at least better than going north haha). It sounds like my boss is going so it's less likely they'll need me to go. Sounds like I'll be the in office support. I think my boss suggested taking someone else with him instead (I feel like we are bonding now that he knows I'm pregnant hahah). My boss seems to be getting very protective of me. Like it's his grandchild or something hahah (which to be clear, it is not).

    @puffbrat @Megliveken @Lindsay375 @teegan84 @wantoldme How is everyone feeling these days? What's new? Updates please :)

@computerfox82 @motivatedsister @NatashaLP2014 we haven't heard from you ladies in a while! What's going on? Anything new?

@Kirstie155 can't wait to hear about your vacation :)

And for anyone else I didn't manage to tag - how's it going?

@VeryKatie I know! I feel like I'm finally getting better just to start feeling like crap again. I'm hoping it last this time. I couldn't get to sleep last night so I basically pulled an all night-er and finally got to sleep around 9 a.m. and just woke up about 15 minutes ago and it's snowing here. It's coming down like salt. I just checked the weather and they say flurries...as usual they are wrong. I was going to go to the store but I think I'll wait. They don't appear to be doing anything to the roads and it's a rather twisty road to the store. Nothing is really new that I can think of. What about you? Oh you know how we were talking about deliveries and things getting stolen? Well last night Andrew and I went to go get the mail (after we took out the garbage) and there was a letter hanging up on the board down there. It was a letter from one of the tenants basically stating that he knows his stuff was delivered and that he would like it back - no questions asked. He's apparently lived here a while and has never had a problem so I can only assume it's new people as we've had quite a lot of new people move in recently but it's hard to say since the lobby is basically open to anyone. What makes it worse is that they were Christmas gifts for others. I'm hoping they were returned but have no idea who the guy really is and it would be kinda awkward to knock on his door and be like "so did you get your packages back?" haha

I'm glad to hear your presentation went well! That's awesome, congratulations!! and I think it's cute that your boss is getting protective! (As long as it isn't the creepy protective. haha) I really do hope you don't have to travel at all though. I can't imagine doing all that traveling and being pregnant but then again I don't really care for a lot of traveling usually so it may just me being dramatic. haha

Wow, that was a long post..haha

@WifiresGettingFit Long posts are the best ;)

Where do you live again? I forget. How much snow did you get (or is supposed to come)? We recently got 30 cm (12 inches) of snow over 2 or 3 days. The buses were late and traffic was bad, but everyone showed up for work lol. Damn Winnipeg being all prepared with an army of snow ploughs! I'll never get a snow day...

There's a little ice on the residential roads here though. I almost hit a dumbass pedestrian yesterday as he was walking in the middle of the right-hand lane near my house (which is super illegal - he should be on the left and near the curb. So he can't see me - his hood is up and I think he was wearing ear buds - and his dog isn't paying attention either. I move over to the left lane (oncoming) to go around him and the idiot starts crossing the road right then - without even LOOKING to see if there's traffic! I had to slam on my brakes (I slipped a little) and honk my horn super long at him to make him f*ing get out of my path - he's SUCH an idiot. I wanted to get out of the car and scream at him but I have no idea if he's some neighbour or if he's one of the idiots who live in the drug house on the street behind me - don't want to get messed up with that).

That reeallly sucks that your neighbour had his gifts stolen :( You make wise decisions about not getting stuff delivered there, clearly. You could knock on his door with Christmas cookies to find out if he got his stuff and just say you're curious since that's exactly why you worry about getting stuff delivered there.

Hahah yeah so far my boss only crossed the line into creepy once so I'll forgive him that once before giving him my $0.02 if he does it again. I'm glad he's not making me travel since now I won't miss two Christmas parties. Travelling while pregnant SUCKS. I get motion sickness but now I can't take motion sickness drugs (they have a risk of cleft palate) and can only take morning sickness pills. Which isn't the same. At all. And not effective.

@Kirstie155 welcome back! OMG that's so scary!!I hope they were just mundane little mosquitoes of the non-Zika variety :( When can you find out? I would definitely recommend both getting checked. Not everyone gets a bump from mosquitoes. I don't - I rarely get itchy or the red mark.

@VeryKatie haha well I'm glad you think so! =P

I'm in Western Pennsylvania. I think our average for the winter months is upwards of 41 inches. Even though the news was saying flurries I just checked and they are now calling for the snow to last until 9 p.m. tonight on and off and we are looking at about 1-2 inches but I think they are going to be wrong about that (surprise, surprise) because it's been snowing since I woke up and I believe we are already close to half an inch now. It is still coming down like salt and traffic is moving at a slower pace now because they still haven't done anything to the roads. I'll be staying inside. I'm hoping they do something to the roads be time Andrew gets off work in an hour and a half since he has a 40 mile drive.

Oh wow, dealing with ice is scary enough! I'm glad you saw him! And I wouldn't have wanted to get involved like that either especially because you just never know. I'm glad you're safe!

That's a good idea! I hadn't thought of that. People are pretty civil here but aren't exactly neighborly at least that's what I've noticed. I mean Andrew and I just met a girl a couple weeks ago in the laundry room. She asked if we were still using the machines because she was contemplating doing laundry before she went to work and Andrew answered and then we got to talking with her and he eventually asked if she was new here and she's like no, I've been here for almost 2 years. What made it even more interesting is that she lives on the same floor as us just on the other end of the hall and neither of us have seen her before. (I've been here a year and Andrew has been here almost 4 years.)

haha well I'm glad he isn't making a habit out of being creepy. I keep having these weird dreams about being pregnant and random strangers trying to touch my belly and I keep grabbing their wrist and asking in what world do they live in that they think they can touch someone without their permission. How do you think you'll handle that as you start showing more? I'm glad it's looking like you won't have to miss your parties! That really sucks that you can't take your motion sickness pills and that the morning sickness pills aren't effective. That's even more reason to say no to traveling! How long of a distance have you had to travel?

@Kirstie155 I'm sure it'll be fine! I'm trying to be all calm over here because freaking out really isn't going to do any good. Both of you get tested and it'll get taken care of! It'll be okay! *HUGS* (and if it happens that you do have it then you'll be immune from further infections in the future which in a way could be a huge win!)

I have such long responses to get back to! It's going to take me a bit because Im at work and super swamped and just spend a few minutes checking in.

Sorry you ladies are feeling under the weather and in the snow! It is pretty warm here in Virginia, about 40 degrees and no snow in sight. We usually don't get any until January or February...never a white Christmas here! Katie that pedestrian is such a dumbass, good grief! I'm so glad you didn't hit him, how horrifying that would have been. i haven't had any packages stolen, but Chris did have to stay home from work today to sign for delivery of our washer and drier pedestals-yay! Next week we are having a laundry and powder room remodel, and my front loading machines are getting up off the ground! This will save my aching back and make the room look so much nicer with extra storage in the pedestals and shelving and new flooring and paint :) Its our Christmas/Anniversary present to each other.

@VeryKatie @WifiresGettingFit I'll send you a PM, so check your inbox!

So my vacation was great, too short though with 2 travel days and 3 full days in the Bahamas. Next time we stay longer for sure. It was a bit colder than I thought it would be, with the temps averaging about 75 and cloudy almost the whole time. On the plus though our sunburns were minor and gone the next day (that sun is BRUTAL!) we burned so much easier there than at home. So the scary thing about the mosquito is idk if i have zika now. Chris thinks I'm being ridiculous, but I did end up with a rash (sunburn?) the next day over my arms, legs and face (but not anywhere the sun didn't touch, like my back or stomach.) I'm thinking it might be a rash because it didn't hurt and went away quickly, also it was on my hands. Whose hands sunburn? We will both get tested after we get new doctors, new insurance company on the first of the year!

@VeryKatie Hi! It's been a long while since I've felt well enough to do anything much! My morning sickness built up to the point of dry retching and vomiting most days. The doctor's prescribed me a drug which has been helping a little bit this week, I still feel sick but haven't vomited for a few days.

I have my first hospital appointment tomorrow (should be 11 weeks) and my first scan next Monday.

Hi all! Still here....just been super busy with work and trying to cram in holiday shopping. The dieting has been practically nonexistent ughh, and I finally went to the gym on Monday. It was the first time I've been back since the week of thanksgiving. I was pleasantly surprised I didn't die! Usually when I haven't been in awhile I'm literally dying, so just maybe that means I'm finally in better shape that it doesn't take so long to get back into it. Had some meetings yesterday but planning on going today again.

So much pressure from friends/family/BF about us starting to try, and oh we're not getting any younger, it's frustrating and exhausting trying to explain why I'm holding out! It's not as if I don't want to have a baby...we've both been ready for awhile, but I would prefer to be married first for a whole lot of reasons and my BF has respected my choice. But I've temporarily lost my mind lol, as we've totally been having sex and doing absolutely nothing to prevent pregnancy :o . So....I guess we'll see what happens this cycle?!?

If I don't get pregnant this month we'll see what happens in the coming months....whether we keep trying or if we go back to waiting until marriage.

@Megliveken Im sorry you haven't been feeling well, but I'm sure you are really excited about your first scan on Monday! Hope you start feeling better soon!

@motivatedsister Great job getting back to the gym, glad you didnt die! I worked out for the first time in months on Monday and really took it easy, just lifted the bar and walked on a treadmill. I have a history of back injury and have been battling a leg/hip chronic pain thing for months as well so didn't want to hurt myself. My goal is to focus on stretching and walking for now, with light weights thrown in for strengthening my back.

Is there a reason you and BF arent getting married? Timing/money/not ready/in school? Did I miss that in an earlier post, I cant remember. Either way, I know that feeling of throwing caution to the wind and going for it (too bad my hubby is never with me on that one  )

I have almost no holiday shopping done. Good grief.

@Kirstie155 I think I'm finally FINALLY! starting to feel better and it seems to be sticking this time so I'm hopeful it has finally passed! If it makes you feel better, we hardly ever have a white Christmas here either. I am incredibly jealous (and I'm okay admitting this haha) that you and Chris have a new washer and dryer. haha I can't wait until Andrew and I have our own house with our own washer and dryer. Sharing a washer and dryer with 28+ other people sucks. Are you going to show before and after pictures of the remodel? I love before and after pictures! I have no idea why but they make me happy. haha It sounds like it's going to be an awesome room! Did I mention I'm jealous? haha =P
I'll be replying to the PM after this.
I felt like your vacation went very fast. When you said you were back I was thinking...but you just left! haha I'm glad you had a good time! I have more to say but I'll save it for the PM.

@Megliveken I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with morning sickness, it sounds awful! I hope you start feeling better soon and I hope you have a great appointment today!

@MotivatedSister It's nice to here from you and I'm glad you didn't die at the gym! =P
If it were me, I would probably be telling them all to mind their own business. I'm not quite sure if I'm reading this wrong but if your BF respected your choice why is he putting pressure on you?

@WifiresGettingFit I guess saying the BF is pressuring me is maybe not the best way to put it...at least not in the way that some people are with their constant nagging. He doesn't ever bring it up really, it's more like if I bring the subject up he'll say well you're the one that wants to wait!

Lol I'm an over thinker can't y'all tell? I'm super responsible, the last irresponsible thing I've done was shack up with my BF (at least according to my super religious family!). So although I've temporarily thrown caution to the wind on the whole TTC front I haven't completely lost my mind and not thought about what the end result might be. And to that end we're in a good spot I end up pregnant; we've both been with our respective companies for over 5 years so financially stable and bought a house...so not worried about any of that.

My parents are hosting my sister and her fiance...just engaged on Friday! as well as grandma. Parents live 5 minutes away so I will get to run away to my house when family time gets to be too much, hahah. Anniversary today <3 getting back on track for the past week and down 5# of vacation (water?) weight :sunglasses:

Hi Kayla! I do have some before pictures of the bathroom from when I painted it over the summer, but forgot to take new ones. He should be done with the bathroom Friday, and will restart after the holidays to finish up the laundry room. Paint and flooring and the new pedestals will be done this week, but the shelves and counter top and a few other misc things around the house are going to be started in January.

Oh may gah you guys! I have an appointment with a new doctor on 1/19/17 to get tested for zika and get my annual pap...I could be cleared to TTC in LESS THAN A MONTH!! Btw, that is one month exactly after my anni, and right around hubbys birthday. Idk how long it takes to have the tests done and get back the results and all, but Im so excited they actually do them. My online research says a lot of places are only doing zika testing for pregnant women with exposure and symptoms who might terminate if they have it, due to high demand and not being able to accommodate so many people.

    OMGOMGOMG :D

ETA: the reason I didn't go immediately after getting back from vacation is because on 1/1 we get a new insurance provider and have to choose all new doctors. I had to wait to get my new insurance cards and see who is accepting new patients.

@Kirstie155 That doesn't sound too bad, you'll have your new remodeled rooms in no time!

I just did a quick search and apparently there is a rapid test out for Zika that will take hours instead of 4 to 14 days so depending on which you're getting you could have less than 2 weeks to get the results! I'm glad you got everything scheduled! That is great news!

@VeryKatie How are you feeling? Didn't you have an appointment yesterday? How'd it go?

Have either of you heard from Jessica/puffbrat lately? Starting to worry a bit....or a lot....

Sorry everyone for disappearing for a little bit! Work is exploding and I'm not staying afloat very well. I'll catch up tomorrow afternoon or maybe a couple days after that!
