Hello team,
Good job on 4th place! We've been doing a great job on minutes and I can't wait to find out about our next destination. If you are wondering where we are going, never fear! Our challenge leaders are experiencing technical difficulties but will have a post up soon.
Also, I'd like to welcome a new teammate, @Carolemaryrosslaura We are excited to get to know you!6 -
After a Google Sheet crash, the Week Three Destination is up and running!
Happy Racing & Happy Halloween!1 -
How amazing are these weekly challenges! The pictures and general information provided for each destination are mind-blowing - thank you so much to those responsible for such research and dedication. It's wonderful to be given such insight to these beautiful places and I find the threads very motivating - I have never been so focussed as I am now.
I'm really looking forward to trying out the radio warm up exercises - can we change which two we choose each day?
Once again thank you so much - and let's go Team Six (even if I am still hobbling with my hamstring injury lol)5 -
This weeek our challenge is going to require lots of planning! Let's post our progress throughout the week, so we can cheer each other on! Good luck everyone!
Let's welcome our new teammate @carolemaryrosslaura.

Konichiwa! Congratulations to our challenge leaders on getting things worked out with posting our destination to Japan. I had no idea fall was so beautiful there!
I love the calorie counting goal. I know I'm going to need it after tonight when we have bags full of candy around my house. It's just so tempting to dig through my kids trick or treat bags after they go to bed2 -
OOPS! Somebody (hawkins410), forgot to post that the spreadsheet was back up last night...it's back up!2

Yes, if you watch them both videos may award yourself 20 minutes. This is a one time only deal! I’m feeling generous.

I'm in total awe. How does everyone get so many miles in? I would love to do more but an hour workout usually does me in lol. I'd love to contribute more though.0

I know I'm retired and all my kids are older too. Your doing a marvelous job! I usually split my workouts throughout the day, morning and evening.2 -

It would be a good idea to message hawkins410 and talk about a way to modify the challenge due to your injury.2 -
CALLING ALL RACERS! DON'T FORGET TO USE THE OPTIONAL WEIGH-IN SHEET IF YOU'D LIKE!
You can find it under the "Weight Track" Tab on the regular spreadsheet.
Don't worry if you didn't start during Week One, it will still work for you!2 -

Sylvia - I have 7 children and when they were at home I didn't have one minute to myself or if I did find one, I didn't have the energy to use it exercising Now they are grown and out of the house and I have all kinds of energy. Of course you know I love to hike. It pushes me to the limit and then I have to find the energy to stretch if I want to walk the next day. lol My husband loves to veg in front of the TV in the evenings so we moved our TV out of the bedroom and into the exercise room. If we want to watch, we have to be on one of the machines. I have 2 treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, a healthrider, a glider and a "all in one weight machine". So no wasted travel time to the gym. I do ride my bike to work sometimes or just go in early and bike along the parkway in the mornings. I actually own 2 bikes, one is at home and I keep one at work. (I am the boss so I can pretty much do what I want at work). These past 4 weeks I have pushed myself harder than I have for awhile and I am amazed at what the body will do. In the beginning, I did the amount I could. Then everyday I would up it just 5 min. Of course, I use different muscles each day and different intensities.3 -
How was Halloween? I enjoyed eating candy but thanks to all of you, didn't eat as much as I normally do! I even got some squats in while @sth76 and I were trick or treating with our kids. They would run up to a house and we would do squats
I wish you all luck with resisting the temptation of leftover candy today!5 -
Awesome Shauna! doing squats while your children trick or treat.
Well, no leftover candy here (Yay!!! because I would just eat it). And I threatened my husband to NOT go buy any half priced Halloween candy at the store! lol (because he would)
morning Rajio Taiso done. It's a nice warm up for anything you plan to do.2 -
Outstanding job Shauna! We don't buy any candy either since chocolate is my down fall. Finished my squats and did the first day of the stretching videos.
Alisa, My husband knows he better not buy left over candy either4 -

I know how you feel ! How lucky you are @scrapbookingtm to have so much at your fingertips! I work full time in an office four days a week and a husband who is not happy if I'm out when he is in (and he is a couch potato!) - so I cram what I can in straight after work and some at weekends if he is working. I believe exercise is addictive and I really wish my time was my own. Still with what I do I know I am a lot fitter than I was this time last year.
Any amount of time you can spend is good.4 -
My husband is turning into a couch potato but I've NEVER been able to watch THAT much TV. Even my SIL spends his time in front of the TV,

I absolutely love this week's challenges! 20 squats every morning after some calisthenics is such a nice way to start the day. I did my first round last night before bed, so the next 6 will be an AM routine. Easy peasy.3

That's so amazing. I really want a treadmill to walk on while I watch my evening shows, that's genius! You are so inspirational!2 -

Thanks Jackie! I am so inspired by your minutes!2 -
I am sorry, but I won't be able to do much this week - I've caught a bug and feel like crap... I will try to do the challenges, but won't have that much minutes to contribute.1

I have a TV at the gym on each of equipment3

I so enjoyed those promotional videos I did them again today - the scenery is breathtaking and the accompanying music is so relaxing I'm only going to count 15 minutes today as I kept stopping to see the beautiful shots lol.
As you can gather I'm quite stubborn so decided to give a few squats a go - and yes, I did 30 - maybe I didn't go as long as the instructor but I think you will accept it, please @MissionEnforcer . So I will be able to complete the 140 in the week.
I also did the stretching videos - well, the first four! Was about to try the fifth and realised this was way out of my league ha ha. Loved doing them though - but once again I didn't do the jumping bit as I want to nurse that hamstring!
So Team Six I will do what I can to add some 'miles' but admit there will not be as many as previous weeks - but never fear, I will be back on form very soon3
