Woohoo, Team 2 Beat!! We have officially arrived in Transylvania!! Since we hadn't reached our destination, we had slipped to #5...yikes...but, with making it there, we are back in 3rd. Only 10 points behind 2nd and 30 behind 1st. It's going to be another close one, so let's keep getting those challenges in and minutes will make more of a difference this week.

Ok so the videos are done! Not gonna lie! I would rather do stairs than the dancing! But they are done! I did my own thing while the videos were playing but I moved for 34 minutes!3

Well the videos were not done last night. My bed and book called me and won. I did manage some more walking last night though. Tonight probably won't be a good idea for videos we will see. I accomplished the no snacking part last night. It was hard the BF brought out Pumpkin spice cheese cake Twinkies, and some Oreos.
@Sabreena Good job keeping up even if you can't check in everyday.

I'm still participating and getting things done but struggling with logging in as I'm away for a few days. Phone isn't cooperating but iPad working right now. No worries though lots of active minutes and working on challenges...will log everything over the weekend when I get home.
I know it's hard to stay motivated but let's hope we don't lose anyone.
Even if it's only a few minutes contributed it's better than a 0,
but the more important thing is it means you made the effort to move.

Just checking in with you all. I got acceptance from Missionenforcer that one floor of stairs = 14 steps. So I still have quite a bit more to go in the stair department, I have completed 283 stairs as of today. The videos are half way done and I will be doing some yoga tonight, so that will add some more minutes in. I might try to head to a nearby park where I am pretty sure there are stairs to see if I can get some more in before yoga.

Well I was checking out our ranking we are 40 points behind team 1 for second place, but I think it was team 5 is only 10 points behind me.
Everyone is doing great. I love seeing how much everyone is working on getting miles in and doing the challenges.3 -

LOL! I also enjoyed doing the stairs more. I guess I got no rhythm. I had no problem following along with the Transylvania Twist and the Monster Mash, but I sucked hard at those other ones. I was terrible! At least that's out of the way!!!1 -

I feel you, I didn't have quite enough room for thriller so I kept jamming into the wall it probably was a horror to watch, good thing I was the only one in the room haha!2 -

I love the dancing My favorite was the Disney Haunted Mansion/Calling all the Monsters. I completed the dance videos and stair steps this morning.
How much fun would it be to spend Halloween in Transylvania at Dracula's house!?!? I actually entered the AirBnB contest that was mentioned in the video about Dracula's Castle. I hope they pick me but I won't be waiting by the phone. A girl can dream...

Finished the stairs tonight while at the gym. I did the main stairs to the arena. There are 30 stairs I ran them 5 times for 150 + 652 from yesterday! That's a little over!5

Not good. Sorry you are feeling under the weather. Please don't push yourself too hard and end up sick for a longer period of time. Do what is best for your body.0 -

I wouldn't be too surprised if we have similar videos in the future. I am not the biggest fan of them because it does take away from other things I would be doing with my exercise time but I also think that it helps get people moving and active so I understand the reasoning for including them. It probably is super hard to try to cater a challenge to people who are at various points in their fitness journey.
Jen - Amazing job resisting temptation....there is no way I would have been able to avoid the pumpkin spice twinkies...no way!! I have been on a major pumpkin kick this season.
Lynn - thank you so much for checking in. Ideally I would love to have the spreadsheet updated more often but it is important if you can't that you make sure to communicate the fact that you are still in it. Thanks again.

I totally read it as having to do the 1540, I did not read they only wanted us to do half that.. OMG i was sitting here thinking there is no way I am going to get that done if it was 1540.. And I was feeling like you all are rock stars getting 1500+ stairs in... Although you all ARE rock stars, it just made me feel better about myself.
I feel so much better and think that I can actually get it done.. Whew!!!
And my videos will be done tomorrow too. Today I had to take the pup out to the park just so he would not destroy my house.4 -

I feel your pain. What I thought was just the worst allergy season ever has morphed into a vicious cold-like sickness. It almost feels like it wants to be bronchitis. It may actually BE bronchitis at this point! Hope not. That will negatively impact my fitness goals. I was planning on a long run this morning but I did an easy hike with my dog instead because I just couldn't hack it. The next few days will be a struggle. Good thing I already have the first 2 challenges done early this time!0 -

This is how I feel when I look at the spreadsheets (particularly for some other teams) and I see some people doing 300, even 400+ minutes of exercise in a day. Here I am, running hills and killing myself for 60-90 minutes and then feeling like a chump because it's not even close to the times others are routinely getting. Who are these super-humans?!? How are they maintaining this (literally marathon pace) day to day? I used to think I was a rockstar. Maybe not so much anymore... LOL!
I think I need a new strategy so I don't wear myself out trying to compete. Instead of running 7 miles, I could shuffle slowly. It would take me so much longer. Not sure I have the patience for that, though. The main reason I run is so I can move along faster and get it done more quickly. Leaves more time for my true love - taking naps!
Keep it up, overachievers! You inspire me to work harder (or at least for longer periods of time.)2 -

Don't worry about Jenilla! I just don't have time in the day to put in those times! I work 9.5 hours everyday! My workouts are very intense and I couldn't keep that time! I do the same thing with my running!

@Joanna2012B and @jenilla1 and all Team 2 Beat members - it is amazing and sometimes frustrating to see some of the numbers that some people can put up. But I want to stress that although this is a team challenge, it is still all about the individual too. Each one of us needs to be doing what we need to do for our bodies, minds, and family/lifestyle. I try to use that as motivation to get myself to workout when I have the time but am just not feeling it. I can guarantee you though, that I will be logging 0s at times during this race, it's life!! And sometimes I just want to be lazy!! Lol. All we can ask is that we do our best. Hopefully that can get us 1st place, but if not, we have tried our darndest and had fun while doing it!5

I had the calories left if I wanted it, however I looked at the clock and it was past my two hour limit and really close to 10 pm. I told him no thank you I couldn't eat it. He looked at me like I was crazy. I reminded him about our no snack challenge. He set it at the coffee table and it taunted me for 30 minutes, and then he ate it. Plus I paced my living room last night for a 60 minute walk while he dozed on the couch. I reached my stretch goal of 20000 steps.
Did you guys see we are only 10 points from team 1 and 5 for first? We are giving them a run for their money.

Hello everyone! i have been doing the stairs at my house. So I am having to go up AND down, of course! ( I know I can only count the up). I just added up how many I have done so far and it came to 720. 720!!!! If I had only known that this morning!!! So close I'll get it tonight!4
