Another reason OMAD is so cool - you actually CAN let go and not worry too much. A regular diet kind of stops all that - you go out and you can 1. eat hardly anything because you have only small number of calories left or 2. eat too much and feel super guilty about it - both options SUCK!
Exactly! Not to mention that if 1 happens enough, the diet because unsustainable because of the "this sucks" factor, and if 2 two happens, it's almost inevitably followed up with an "I can't do it" mentality that leads to blowing I the next day, the day after that, and then a long period of not doing anything at all.
I've never tried the small meal thing cause I know it is a non-starter for me. I would last a day max.0 -

All the other ways I ate before were three meals a day and I always felt hungry between meals and over ate. I could last a while, but I was miserable. Makes me more thankful than ever that OMAD has given me control. It's awesome because on the occasion like yesterday where I was famished after the hike and fully intended to eat both wraps, but couldn't, I was able to finish the second a few hours later and have my yogurt and peanut butter dessert and was completely satisfied.

Though I definitely can feel that I've lost quite a bit of weight, mostly because my new clothes from March and last month are hanging off of me, I still wasn't seeing it. My sister sent me the picture included in a text this morning asking, "Can you see it NOW, the HUGE difference?!" Lol. It's just a face shot and though the thinner face me pic (189 lbs yesterday, hoping it holds though tomorrow) was full sun versus a more forgiving light, and my hair looks like *kitten*, I definitely see the difference now over the 224lb picture.0

Darn it! I can't get my phone to show me these type of linked pictures except giant so it doesn't even fit on the screen and won't let me zoom out LOL I want to see the picturesssss0 -
@mistymeadows2005, ugh, whenever I add anything from my phone it links rather then embeds. Here you go, hope that helps

Another good week! I welled up with tears a bit because I haven't the 180's in about 13 years.

Thank you all so very much! I'm still high in this accomplishment, I used to get in the 190s and then go right back up again. Not this time and never again.0

It honestly was your typical and beautiful Michigan summer day. I lived in the Northern LP until 18. I'd love to move back here, but the winters. Ugh. Lol

Enjoyed these delicious Greek Wraps with Hummus for lunch today. I spread thick amounts of hummus on high fiber tortillas and filled them with slightly smashed chickpeas, red onions, kalamata olives, garlic, green leaf lettuce, feta cheese, grape tomatoes, and chia seeds. The dressing used is balsamic vinegar, olive oil and oregano. My daughter loved them as well. Mmm, mmm!

OMG, that looks AWESOME! My kind of veggie meal for sure... Only 12 hours until I eat!1
-
They're very filling, too! My daughter has been a vegetarian for over six years, makes me extra happy when I find something new that she enjoys. :-)
BTW, you sound like me when I look at the OMAD meals others have. I've learned to avoid a few threads of those whose meals always look extra yummy until after I've eaten. haha1 -
Yeah, my problem is that it's so early here when everybody else is posting! I should save the meal pics until the evening that's for sure...1
-
LOL, good idea. I eat my meals usually between 10-11 am, though it typically changes to somewhere between 1-3pm when my hubby is back home from offshore. He grills a lot when he's home and that's too early for him as far as dinner. :-)0
-
Wow, that's interesting... I'm really not sure when I'd eat if I didn't have to eat with someone else. Probably around 3 or 4pm as that's when I actually start to get hungry...0

My daughter has been staying with us for awhile while she and her hubby (he's been out of town for awhile but he'll be back soon) look for a place to rent. Sometimes I eat with her and other times I don't. If I'm too hungry to wait for my family, I eat anyway. Often my husband will make me an early meal just for me because he's just so darn awesome like that. :-)

That wrap looks great! The filling reminds me of something I used to do once in a while when I did LC. I put olive tapenade on a Wasa cracker, top with parmesan and then put under the broiler for just a bit. Sounds odd but they were SO good. Drat, now I have to go get the stuff, lol.0
