@Elise4270 Thanks. Sorry you are suffering from the frumps today. Here's to hoping tomorrow will be better.

@shanaber Thanks. Glad you didn't have to run in a down pour. Sprinkles aren't bad. Yeah for the weight loss!!!!

@shanaber wow! Congratulations on the drop (weight), and the rise (hr)! Jealous of the temps and rain. We’re already watering to prevent soil shifting. Dh doesn’t know it yet, but I’m about to pose a Lowe’s trip for shades and a bushy tree thing for my stubborn outside cat. Bear is awol. So once dh finds him, I’m making the suggestion.

Oh @Elise4270, I hope Beary is ok! Silly cat, definitely needs a bushy tree

Oh he’s fine. Dh saw a loose dog and thought it got bear. He’s just over protective. Boogin’ Bear had been outside for 3 or 4 hours and it was just time for him to come in, ‘twas hot. Dh went for a run and then went to Lowe’s but bought nothing I wanted. I think he forgot I wanted the giant tree bush thing. Maybe tomorrow. So I watered the flower bed, er turned on the soaker hoses for the outside noodlin doodlin’ (Noodles) cat. Stupid cat that won’t come in. But today I did get her in for a few minutes, tempted her with crunchies and ac.

Y’all baby talk to your animals? Dd said Jackson Galaxy (the cat daddy/whisperer) said you’re not suppose to baby talk them. What? They LOVE it! I even sing to Beans.

Migraine hit me hard today. Slept all afternoon.

I baby talk, regular talk, and sing to my dog.

Same for me with Hobbes. He thinks when I start singing we need to run or dance though 🤣

@RunsOnEspresso - hope the migraine is felling better tomorrow!

@elise4270 I'm late here. Biggest biggest hugs. I'm so, so sorry.

If there is anything at all we can do, please let us know, even if it's a talk in the middle of the night.

@elise4270 - know that we are all grieving with you. Like we all said - just no words to express it.

Weight up 1.2 so > 150 but had a big dinner and drinks so I think it will go down in a few days. Going to see granddaughter today so will probably eat a lot again tonight if we do take aways.

45 min run on TM and 20 min Peloton ride. Lots of rain in Orlando and tornadoes last night - one just a few houses down from a co-worker's house! But she's okay.

I was going to say that @elise4270 knows we are here if she needs us and would want us to get back to our normal chatter. I do hope she comes back to the group eventually and finds it as a way to escape from things for for a bit with our goofy normalcy.

My weight is up too. Not terrible but I was so hoping the 145 would stick. It does give me hope that it is possible to get back going in that direction!

I did a short run/walk yesterday. Finding I have less and less stamina. I also think the heat is playing a big part as I was better on Friday when it was so cool. I think my body just can't get my HR up to where it needs to be to support running in the heat. I even feel it doing my workouts at home and it is so warm.

We had grilled burgers again last night and I went over 2000 calories! Doesn't happen too often but I am sure that it had an affect on my weight.
Tonight we are having another Zoom happy hour with our friends so dinner will either be snacks with that or leftovers.
I found a recipe for shrimp with rice that looks really good so I am hoping at some point next week I can get to the store to get all of the ingredients.

@ddmom0811 - Can't believe you are seeing tornados in Orlando! Seems it is good you have the Peloton so you can workout inside.
    Have fun visiting Ella!

We went off roading today. Stopped at Target on the way home (new brand if gf cookies to try - found them in one of the many BLM resources!). Shadow and I waited in the truck. Her head was on a swivel!

I went to Knoxville today for my grand nephew's first birthday party. His parents grilled out, so I had a hamburger and a hot dog, chips, cake, and ice cream. It was so good. Not even going to try to count calories today.

I think this was his favorite gift.

He's a champion cake smasher. He didn't really care for the taste, but smashing it was so much fun.

This is my dad with both of his great grandchildren. He told my mom when he went into the hospital last week that if it wasn't for them, he would just give up.

Notice the little cast on Shawn's hand. He started to walk yesterday. On his second step he face planted with his hand in his mouth. He nearly bit the end of his pinkie off, breaking the bone. It took 8 stitches in that little finger to get it sewed up. He was doing great. Didn't seem to bother him at all.

    Hi all:

I have been riding way too much....it's so hot here - Going to be like 103 or more on Tuesday...running is tough. Hopefully an early morning one tomorrow if my legs feel ok.

A also need to clean my house....what a disaster.

We went to dinner out on Saturday to a place with a nice patio. It was empty and they tried really hard so I am glad we made the effort.

I weighed in at 138.4 today....surprising after eating like I have. Then I had a burger.

Exercise - lots of riding. Need to stretch and do some core.

Food - lots of carbs....made this awesome NYT Blackbean "bake" dip thing....with some grilled chicken and tortillas.
    It was good.

@quilteryoyo - that is terrible about Shawn’s finger! Wow, how scary- adorable pics and glad you had a fun day. So cute to see your dad holding the little ones.
@bearly63 - I can see why you ride to much. It is very fun and addictive. Nice that you got to eat out too.
@shanaber - such weird weather - like every else in 2020. As usual weather people are warning us it will be a terrible hurricane year. They say that every year though. But this year that would not be surprising.

Ella was very fun. She’s huge, but so were my two and my son is so big, she’s just going to be tall!

Ahhhh I'm struggling so so much.
For the last week I've stopped tracking and eaten what ever I wanted without care. Though notice that I'm not sleeping well, tummy has felt way too full, and I've gained 5kg or about 11lb. I know that a large amount is water weight but have probably gained a couple of actual kg.

Today was supposed to be my get back on track day but I just didn't care enough to stick to calories, and we have lots of cake left over from my daughters birthday.

I think not running, and not being in my usual routine has just thrown me completely off, like Completely off. I haven't even done any walking or real exercise since last Wednesday due to life. I've enjoyed sleeping in, and given my sleeps been awful due to work over the weekend.

Tomorrow. I will do better tomorrow - including doing some exercise!

@bearly63 Glad you had a nice night out. Sounds like you are doing great with your exercise, eating, and weight. I was surprised that I was only up 0.2 pounds this morning.

@ddmom0811 Shawn's accident was scary. My nephew said he cried a lot more than Shawn. LOL Shawn was a little trooper. Kids seem to be that way.

@Avidkeo You can do it! It's so hard when you're injured.

@quilteryoyo That is such a sweet picture of the the great grand kiddos and your dad. Little kids are so resilient! and they heal fast!

@Avidkeo It's so hard to have to jump off the exercise plan while recovering from an injury. A good time to just focus on stretching, nourishing mind and a body, and coming back 100%. Sleep is really important too!

@elise4270 -Love those pictures! I know I can't speak for everyone but I think our hearts are all aching for your loss. I've been thinking of you and Alex every time I exercise and eat (which, as you know, is a lot). It's got to be so hard to try to help your DD when you are hurting so. I just don't know what to say other than we are here for you. Share what you need to. :heartbreak:

@Avidkeo Thanks for the little bit of NZ. I watched Casketeers on netflix, the experiences of a NZ funeral director. Worth the watch, i think. Thank you for the aroha,

@Elise4270 - I just pop in here sometimes from the running thread to read and saw your post about the loss of your son. I couldn't just "lurk" anymore and wanted to send you my condolences. I am so very sorry.
