@CMorning99 I wouldn't be surprised if the PD was the one "stealing water". His type love projecting the *kitten* they do on others.

@shanaber I had to google photos to remember which trail that was. LOL Yes, we did that one.

Took forever, but found a photo I took there

    Morning guys.

Ah the weather here is hot. Not @runs_on_espresso hot. But still sticky and awful. Took the kids to the beach yesterday after work. It was so warm and wonderful

Food was better yesterday after my pig out day on Tuesday. I'm also off to Hawera today, the next town over, for work. Usually means an indulgence day. I don't think that will happen today. I'm feeling junk flooded out.

    Good morning

It is THURSDAY! The day before Friday (for you retired folks LOL).

It is soooo warm! It was 83 degrees yesterday afternoon. But as soon as the sun starts to go down, it cools of quickly. No rain in sight :( I hope that those to storms we had in Jan are not the only ones. I think it only rained 1 month out of last year too.

Yesterday was another day, I always say that and then write a novel LOL

I got a lot of training done. I did meet with the commander on my work load and he said "yeah, I have faith you can do it"...humph. I am making big headway though, so yeah, I probably can do it. Just a bit stressful. No paperwork yesterday so quiet evening. I started in on doing some inventory but got distracted by making dinner, taco pie. We watched Under Siege with Steven Seigel, I truly appreciate some solid testosterone laden 80's cheese :) But after DH got a nasty e-mail that his Amazon account was suspended because they could not charge it to his card. He called the bank and got such a run around of excuses, they said they would send him a new card via FEDEX and he would have it in 3-5 days...that was 1 Feb. When he called last night they said that they were still "investigating" and that the fraud case was not approved....blah blah blah...that is fine, but you still need to send him a new card! She said it was "processed" today and he should be getting it in the next 3-5 days. At this point pretty much everything he had going to that card is now suspended. I told him he should get a second card for these cases.

I have been thinking a lot about running, still lack the motivation though. I really enjoy the after work walks with DH. We get home about the same time, and he likes to just change his shoes and go. So I would either need to run after (not ideal b/c we usually start dinner and chores when we get back), or I start running in the morning again. It would not be terrible and work lets me come in late on those days. Also since I am so out of shape, for the first couple weeks, It will probably be just working up to jogging 3 miles again LOL

Food was a bit high yesterday. DH and I had sushi for lunch and he snuck in a king size Snickers into the bag that we shared. Dinner was really good so I had a small 2nd serving and then I found a nearly empty bag of smart pop kettle corn and ate that during the movie. I did not wake up hungry, that seems to be a solid cue on if I ate too much. Scale is still trending down though on my smoothing app....trending very slowly, but going. I suspect in the next couple weeks, it will plateau.

Today, call mobile home movers....again. Call well folks to see if if test happened and what results were. I think that is it really for now.

I think you are doing good @CMorning99 , esp. since your weight is trending down.

I have been reading and liking and hugging, just not had a lot of time for commenting the last couple of days. I worked until 4 today and am working 6:30 - 9:45 tomorrow. Didn't get much sleep last night (just couldn't get to sleep) so am trying my best to get to bed early tonight. After work, I'm playing tennis, then having a meeting with the bank (I may be purchasing a large piece of property - will give details later because it is a long story. If I do, I will immediately resale most of it, but not sure I can afford the loan, esp if something would happen and I was stuck with it for a while.) Then, I'm going to see my primary care to see if he thinks I need to have some tests run, or see a specialist, regarding my BP, visual migraines, palpitations, double vision episodes, and nearly fainting a couple of times. So, it will be a busy day.

@avidkeo - I hope you had a good remote work day! Do you get extra pay to go to these other locations?
I hope it cools off for you soon! It is really hot at our house this week and I am not looking forward to going back to the heat (90F!) and high, dry winds. I have been enjoying to cold mornings and cool afternoons to run!
@CMorning99 - you are so busy it makes me tired reading your updates! I think you need to just try some different times to get in a run and see how it feels and fits into your schedule. Hope you get some good feedback from the movers and the well guy!
@quilteryoyo - You too are so busy! I hope you get some answers or direction from your PCP tomorrow.

Today was our last full day here and dh didn't want to go anywhere so we just enjoyed the views from the hotel. Dh and I took Hobbes for a little walk around the pond outside our hotel room (should say Hobbes and I took Dh 😁) to see the beaver's work. When we got here on Sunday there was just one tree down and now there are 3! I am not sure where the beavers are but I have a suspicion.
    6ikyv7habhwd.jpeg
After the walk Hobbes and I took off for another little run/hike in the same area we did on Tuesday. There are so many trails that I got a little confused at what went where so we double backed a few times but it was all good.

When we got back dh and I sat out on the deck with Hobbes and just enjoyed the view and the quiet. It was so lovely. Salad with chicken for dinner and 1/6 slices of chicken quesadilla. It was so thick I couldn't eat any more of it. I will take it home with us tomorrow though. It may take me a few days though to eat it all!
A final shot tonight - happened to look out as the sun was setting and saw the reflection on the pond.

    Foundation repair guys arrived today!!!!!
11 days early. So happy to get that taken care of. Kevin is everyones friend. Sandy ran and hid in the woods, in the thick brush and I had to drag a 72 pound dog 100 yards to get her in the house. When the guys come in to use the washroom, she is fine; lets them say hi and pets. I text the woman we got her from (rescue) and her opinion was the noise, they did show up with lots of tools in a big truck, and had music on rather loudly. Perhaps tomorrow shell do better. She was afraid to even go on the side of the house where they were working after they'd gone. I'm concerned since she was scared and didnt even respond to me and ran off. Daft dog. Anyway, Im going to take her everywhere with me from now on, with chicken nuggets in hand so she will give me her attention.

    @shanaber Love the pics. Beautiful.

I still haven't figured out was is causing Sandy's ears to react too. She is doing great on the new food, so Ill leave it there until we happen on the cause. Her coat is extra soft (and her brain is too).

Im tired. Struggling to get course work done. I can't seem to find the motivation. I had 3 cups of tea and a 20 oz red bull and just gave up trying to get motivated and took a nap.

@swenson19d - most pups go thru at least one fear period. Hobbes was terrified of everything for a while, even a balloon or plastic bag billowing in the wind would make him hide behind me and try to run away. Definitely keep a leash on her and take her around to see the workers, the tools they are using that make noise and that they aren't there to hurt her. High value treats (aka chicken nuggets) will entice her and help her understand it is ok.
I am amazed you are able to nap after all the tea and then Red Bull. I would be wide awake probably for days! Hope you can find your motivation!!

@shanaber Thanks for that. I'll work with her today.

DH says I "shouldn't ever do that"
DD is in a relationship with this guy who she says isn't always nice and she 'd planed to end it but is still seeing him. One of the foundation repair guys is new her age-ish, adorable, and had been her 1.5 ago i.e. steady job... you see where I'm going here. I asked the guy is he was single and he just postured, I said I have a 2 yo daughter... he keeps composure and silent. I said "okay enough with the awkward stuff, but feel free to chat her up if she comes out". Dh says I'm practically giving her to a psycho. I said I married worse. Anyway, Im down with the arranged marriages culture. Someone needs to scrutinise the potential partners and direct young ppl.

I have a paper due and barely started it... oh joy.

    Good morning!

@shanaber Those photos are amazing! Makes me crave a vacation. DH just does not have enough time off yet for anything extended and he wants to save what he has for emergencies. I need to put some work into figuring out areas we could go for the weekend. And get more comfortable pulling the trailer b/c the fur babies would need to come with us.

@swenson19d Isn't it amazing when they ACTUALLY show up LOL. Mom's pups were terrified of a lot of things, I suspect that is why LS was able to lock one in a room and the other hid outside under a car we think. They didn't find her till the next day. I think a lot of it was Mom never took them anywhere.

Yesterday was a good day, until about 3pm when I went punch drunk tired again. I got a bit of work done and the morning passed pretty quickly. I texted the mobile home guy and he said "Sorry! I can be there in an hour"...well that didn't work for me so I am meeting him today at 3:30 to check the frame and see if the mobile home is moveable. I just keep telling myself to keep pushing, this is the last really stressful thing I need to do. After this it is mostly other peoples work, paperwork, or easy stuff like fencing. I worked on my training all afternoon. It was terrible, 50 ways to run 10 reports but not once did they ever tell what the reports were or why I would need them. I think that the course was a huge contributor of my fatigue. I got home and was hungry so ate an early dinner and within an hour felt fine. The early dinner was my demise and I got into a very healthy serving of peanut butter pretzels and a coffee with baileys. I got a bunch of reselling work done, sales are picking up a bit. Sold a coat internationally too. It amazes me when people do that b/c the fees are crazy for them.

Slow getting up this AM. I bought some mini bagels for avocado toast, I made one today and it was like a kids toy...way tooo mini. I am going to be hungry in 30 min. Have a meeting at 9am and then more training, should be the last online block and then I start the in-person stuff. I have to leave at 2:30 (perhaps there was some thought put into that 3:30 apt time ;) I can Airman with the best of the kids LOL).

This weekend, might try a jog. I have a hair appt on Saturday and a few errands. That is really the only thing on the books.

Scale seems to be leveling out already...boo.

    Have a great weekend!

@CMorning99 Peanut butter pretzels and coffee with bailey's sounds awesome. There's half a tub if ice cream in the freezer. If these guys would finish up, I'd eat it all.

I really want a nap. but again, guests.
Its really cool though, moving the house, hearing it creak back into place. Main guy has been in enough that Sandy has chilled out enough for a nap. They are cleaning up and should be done soon and I can rendezvous with my pillow.

Dh is back to being an ...
He is micro-dosing with psychedelic 'shrooms. It gave me great anxiety that he's growing them and taking them. He abandoned it, threw it all out, said he'd respect the position he put me in. But now he's been sneaking setting up to grow more... I hate him at the moment.

Beautiful pictures @shanaber. I especially love the sunset one. It sounds like you had a great time away.

@swenson19d Tippy does not like big trucks either. She really hates the one's that beep when backing up. She doesn't run and hide, but barks and wants to attack. Once the person gets out and she see's they are okay, she is okay too. Tippy also used to hide from the vacuum cleaner. Now she may play bow to it, but just goes in the other room when I am vacuuming. Hopefully, once she had heard the noises more, she won't be afraid of them. I hope you can find a way to get motivated to get your course work done.

@CMorning99 Sounds like you are doing great at getting things taken care of. Of course, you make an appointment for 3:30 on Friday. When else would you do it? LOL I hope you can get in a jog this weekend and it doesn't get crazy so you can relax some.

@swenson19d I'm glad Sandy cozied up to the main guy. Tippy does still have some issues with men, but it doesn't take long for her to get used to them. If she doesn't, then I'm wary of the guy myself. Sorry about your DH is stressing you out. I hope that all works out for the best.

I read my post this morning and thought, "Well, the story isn't really that long." Anyway, here's the property story. My neighbor owns property that years ago belonged to my family. When I moved back here, I told him if he ever sold it, please let me know because I would like to at least have first dibs on the part that is located adjacent to mine. He agreed. Fast forward many years, so he has probably forgotten, he has decided that he is too old and sickly and is going to sale all of the property he owns, except his house and lawn. There are two plots on my side of the road. One is 33.5 acres and the other is 33.7 acres. The area that I would be interested in is probably 10 acres. Well, he has told his realtor that he is going to sale all 71 acres together - won't break it up, even though it is two separate plots with two separate deeds. He is asking $400,000 for it. To his benefit, it does include two barns and three pond, but a lot of it is also really grown up in cedar trees and would need a lot of work to make it usable for much. The reason I want the field next to me is that I fear someone will buy it and decide the perfect place for a house is in my front door. There's a reason I have a quarter mile long driveway. Anyway, I went to the bank today to see about a loan, just as a point in the decision making process. There is no way I can afford $400K, even if I wanted to. I could possibly afford the 37.5 acres that are adjacent to me and then break it up and sale what I don't want. Even though he doesn't want to break it up, I may make an offer. I want to check another place that loans money for farm land only and see what they say. If in the meantime someone else buys it, well, I'll just have to say it was meant to be and try to make friends and see if they will sale me the field I want. (On second thought, maybe it was long. )

My doctor is going to have me increase one of my HBP med to see if it will quit going so high in the afternoons. At his office it was 156/104 or something like that. This morning, it was 121/85. He also said that we will watch my HR going up randomly, but said it could be a side affect of CoVID. His nurse had CoVID last year and that happened to her. She saw a cardiologist who said he was following a lot of people with that issue after having CoVID. She has been on medication for a year and is finally getting back to normal. Her cardiologist said it is taking people 6 months to a year to get back to normal. Since I had CoVID right before my heart surgery, and then ago 3 weeks ago, who knows. For now, we are doing nothing about that but watching it, unless it really gets bad. I'll discuss that with my cardiologist when I see him on March 3.

As for the visual migraines and double vision episodes, he and I agreed for me to see a neurologist. They are going to get in touch with one and send them all the info, they'll review, and then I'll get an appointment. I hope it isn't too long. I told him I needed that for my peace of mind.

So, that's where I am at this point. I have not been eating well, so really do need to work on that. Pizza twice this week was not good. And, I haven't been sleeping well, so haven't felt like running when I get home from work. Bugs me that I can be so tired, and fall asleep so easily for a power nap in the car at work, but can't go to sleep once I go to bed. Ugh. I hope to get in at least one run over the weekend.

@RunsOnEspresso It's okay to take a break. Call it a recovery day/week and don't add stress or worry.
You did inspire me to log the last two days and get on the scale. It was ugly, but I knew that was coming.

I made a pot of beans today. But already ate too much and haven't even reached the half way mark on the paper. I did adjust the fence and gate so it would latch properly since the house was adjusted. And did laundry (dh's stunk and I bought a new blanket). I also picked up poo and ordered Sandy a new collar; she is about to outgrow the current one. I set Bob & Babs loose on the floors. Just no school work. I want to take a nap every time I look at it.

    Good morning

@quilteryoyo I hope you can figure out how to get the lot you want. Is it easy to break up parcels there? That is what I am doing in cali and it is a 1.5 year process and $90K in fees/survey's etc. A lady on a FB running group I follow posted about her HR too post covid. A 1 mile jog was putting her in the 190's. She went to the cardiologist and they did all the tests and had no idea what was doing it and told her to wait it out for 6-12 months.

The weekend was pretty good. The mobile home guy gave me a scare when he showed up 30 min late, at least he called when he left. He looked like larry the cable guy LOL. He seemed very knowledgeable and confident he could move the trailer. My tenant was there and I really put her on the spot on how she wanted things. The whole "create buy in" when changing things LOL. The only area I put my foot down was on when. I told her that best case scenario my housing plans are approved in 6-7 months and so we could start building in Sep. She just kept saying "as late as possible" and said it could be later when I suggested Aug move date. I wanted to get a date on the books so I could start lining things up. I finally just opened my calendar and picked 23 Aug. So now we wait and see if it stays on track. While I was waiting for the mover, I called the well guys...they had left their pump. They said that we easily maintained 5 GPM and they redid the lab reports (we failed initially). I asked about the quote for the upper well and they had completely forgotten. But he did say that a 5K tank that was $2800 2 years ago are going for about $7000 now

The weekend overall was slow. My hair stylist cancelled the morning of and said she would let me know when she can reschedule. She is going through a nasty divorce so I get it. I was thinking of stopping dying my hair so maybe she will just forget about me. I did go out and thrift a bit, found a few good things but I went to a "higher end" goodwill ...they were charging $25 for a used pair of Nikes. I think I found 13 items with an avg cost of goods of $7.11. I plan to make the trek up to the Goodwill Outlet and try my luck there. One of the platforms I sell on is a hot mess of bad ideas. They recently changed their search algorithm and it is terrible...you can't find anything. It searches by what you put in the search function...so if you search Lululemon Jacket, it only brings up listings where people have put "lululemon jacket" in the title...exactly. So if you put in your title Lululemon blue women's jacket...it wont come up till way at the bottom as less of a match. A lot of the bigger resellers sales have tanked (mine included).

Scale was up this AM...no jog and no food watching this weekend. But my pants are not as tight as normal on a monday...so either I lost a bit or DH washed in cold water

Have a few things to work on today. Have a great week!

    Hey guys.

So back on again. At least I have a chill day at work, doing admin. Easy.

@CMorning99 Sounds like things are moving right along with your land and the mobile home. I don't think it's that hard to break it up into parcels here, he just didn't want to. It looks like he has already accepted an offer on it - things are selling so quickly here. (My brother put his house and 8 acres on the market Friday and had an offer $20K above asking on Saturday, so he took it.) So, now I'm just hoping that whoever is buying it is nice and will either use it for farm land or be willing to sell me the 8 acres that I would like to have. It's out of my hands now. It's interesting about the lady on the other running group having the same issue with her HR. I mentioned it to mom's doctor today and she said she hadn't heard that could be a side affect of CoVID, but was interested to know and was going to do some research. I hope your reselling business picks back up.

@Avidkeo I hope you did have a chill day today. I hope can get off of the roller coaster soon. I seem to be right there with you.

I can not seem to get my running mojo back. I want to, until it is time to run, then I talk myself into walking instead, for whatever reason. This afternoon, I walked because I was thinking that I would have time in the morning to run and didn't want 2 runs so close together since I haven't run much lately. Over a mile into the walk, I realized that I was going to run some errands in the morning, so wouldn't have time to run before work. But, I wasn't dressed to run so finished the two mile walk and then did my back exercises. During my walk yesterday, I tried to list all of the reasons that I have to run - keep my weight down, good for my heart, good for my back, I feel better after I run... Then, last night, I remembered that one of my moto's is "Run to Live" so felt that was telling me something. Anyway, I'm at the point that I think I need to be figuring out why I keep making excuses and work on them since my list of reasons to run doesn't seem to be motivating enough right now. AND my food choices have been pretty poor lately. Thankfully, I am holding fairly close to my upper limit of maintenance, but could stand to lose at least 10 pounds again. At least it's not 50 again.

@quilteryoyo It is hard to return to running after rehabbing. Walking is just as good for your heart as running. So call those walks, slow runs! Perhaps you could trick yourself in to a short run. Get ready to walk and dressed for a sneak attack run. Walk a warm up and run 10 feet, walk and run 10 feet. Just a warm up run. I think you may be struggling with a mental battle, covid, heart surgery, loss, covid, back... Just take it easy out there and enjoy it, that's all that matters.
I am toying with walking the dogs. It should do me good. But Im just stuck in a lazy pattern. IDK if I'd call it depression per se. I think i'm just lazy. It takes so much energy to get out of the house, add dog rodeo to it and eh... I'll pass.

@CMorning99 - I had no idea it was so difficult to split parcels in CA. It does seem like things are starting to progress more for you though! Hope you can get the mobile home moved and started on building your house as planned!
I find most of the search algorithms to be very frustrating and limiting. I sometimes think they let the programmers do what is easiest for them and not something that requires a bit more thought and work to be more logical and intuitive to the end user. Honestly there has been so much study optimizing search functions that they wouldn't even have to think, unfortunately they likely wouldn't understand it so would go with something really simple.

@Avidkeo - Hope you can get that rollercoaster flattened out! I think it is one of the reasons we are all here - that rollercoaster keeps wanting to drag us all along. My weight was up 1lb after our Zion trip surprisingly. But between weighing on Saturday and again this morning before my doctor appointment it was up another 3lbs! So 4 total since before we went to Zion and it was already up 2...

@quilteryoyo - @swenson19d has a good point about all that you have had going on now for a while, it is tough even if you aren't thinking or dwelling on any of it, the stress is still there. I think she is saying the same as what I suggested on the challenge thread - dress for a run instead of a walk, just in case you feel like running. You can always still walk but you will be prepared if you just feel like trying a little run here or there during the walk.

@swenson19d - maybe you can start a little walk 1-1 with each pup separately for 'training', doesn't have to be far or long. Good for you and they will love thee individual attention.

I saw the rheumatologist today and she admitted up front that they would not have an absolute diagnosis for me, the best they could do was 'a shade of gray'. She thinks I have something along the lines of Fibromyalgia or a precursor. She was trying to pinpoint why it flared up so badly in January and thinks possibly I had a virus (Covid or something else). Essentially it has been lingering in the shadows for a while possibly from the rheumatic fever from when I was a teen, and I have been having minor flare ups but then something really set it off. She gave me some medication/treatment choices and one was steroids that I said no to. After quite a bit of discussion we decided on a medication they use primarily for rheumatoid arthritis. In addition to helping with whatever is going on it will help with the arthritis in my hips and hands. She wants me to try it for 6 months and keep a journal on how I feel. I really liked her, she was very engaged and spent nearly an hour talking with me. The prescription is through mail-order so I should get the medication next week and then will see how it goes.

Thanks @swenson19d and @shanaber . I think you are right about it maybe being stress/depression. How do I know? I cried when I read what you wrote. When I saw all of the things that has happened in one sentence, it was overwhelming. And, that isn't really all of it. I am stressed about getting new neighbors and what that will mean to me and letting Tippy run free. My brother, as I said, has moved and is selling his property, so won't be as close to help out if needed (not that he does much anyway). A couple of other people I was close to have passed away fairly recently. Mom is 86 and talks about her not being here much longer. Since I am not my sister-in-law's favorite person I am not sure how much contact I'll have with my brother's family after mom passes away. It is a lot. I like the idea of dressing for a run when I walk. Just for you guys, I'll admit that on Sunday I was walking on the treadmill without a bra on. Definitely can't run like that. LOL I'm thinking about maybe doing more wunning....walk and throw in a little running, or a lot, depending. I was thinking about the last race I did before my heart surgery. Since I was going to walk some of it, I had to sign up as a walker and start an hour earlier than the "runners." All of the walkers ran some and I ran as much of it as I probably would have had I really been racing. But that was the most fun I had. There was no pressure. I walked when I wanted. Stopped and took pictures and talked to one of the volunteers, and still came in first for the walkers. I want to enjoy it like that again, and wunning might be what it takes. Sorry I'm rambling. But thanks for the support and ideas.

@swenson19d I agree that you should try taking the dogs for walks separately. Especially if you are still planning for Kevin to be a therapy dog. He needs to get used to being on leash and meeting people and other dogs. It will be good for them and you.

@shanaber I'm so glad that you found a doctor you like and that you got some answers. I hope the medicine works for you and you start feeling a lot better.

@shanaber Good to have at least the idea of what's going on and a trusted doc.

@quilteryoyo Sound like you have all the more reason to get out there and make new friends. Live in the moment. Dont hesitate to talk to someone in a professional manner. Finding a counsellor who specialises in the older population may be a good idea. Life stage changes can really mess with you.

Kevin is great to get out he is everyones friend. I need to get Sandy out since she is a chicken-dog. I'll take one of them with me to violin this week. Prob Kevin. But need to get Sandy out. Shes a little unpredictable and I dont want her to shut down on me. I think she'll be fine as long as I grab some chicken nuggets for bait.

@rheddmobile How's it going in 'coonville? Swear, I'd make them a whole village and be the raccoon lady!
