    So that injury i thought I had last month turns out to be a gallbladder issue. I ended up in the ER last night when I woke up in crazy pain, same kind, and this time didn't have yoga as an excuse. I'm fine, but I have to get a surgical consult :(

    The other confusing thing is this is linked to high calorie, fatty food diets and the fattiest thing I eat is full fat yogurt, so the docs were like well, it is also related to losing weight quickly and i'm like no, I'm losing weight at a slow and reasonable pace - 32 lbs in six months is not quick. It seems that sometimes it just effing happens, and unfortunately I'm in the obese, female catagory which is a strong demographic for these issues.

    So. I'm a little frustrated today.

    On the upside though, now I have no excuse for avoiding yoga and pilates lol

    Way to see the silver lining in that you can now do yoga and pilates without fear of injury! Seriously, though, I sense your frustration, with good reason, and sorry that you are going through this right now. I hope your pain is at least under control!

    Did you have something going on today?

    We had a braai (barbeque) happening, so I dont count calories and restrict myself for occasions such as that when I have some ice cream and more chicken than usual... I managed not to binge. Yay!

    The previous walk in doc prescribed muscle relaxers thinking this was a muscle related injury. the upshot is that the gallbladder is a muscle (albeit a smooth one) and so what seems to be happening is that once the drug kicks in, the muscle relaxes enough to release the stone that is causing the pain/constriction which makes the pain kind of chill out. It's a little surreal because a) it takes so long to work and b) once it starts working the pain is still there but it feels like it's happening 'over there' and kind of out of body.

    The PA and nurses were all kind of impressed because muscle relaxers aren't usually prescribed for this, but because its working they're like keep at it! So good vibes that this doesn't keep on and that I don't end up with an infection which would be super problematic.

    Thanks for the good thoughts! This ain't gonna keep me down! Just annoy me haha!

    @craigo3154 if my weigh in is on thursday (feb 1) I should still put it under January for week 5, correct?

    @enyagoboom. Correct. Put your Thursday weigh in weight in this thread for posting as week 5 weight.

    Your January week 5 weight will automatically become your starting weight for February.

    I have been dealing with my gall bladder for years. I just wanted to give you my tip that seems to work the best. Stay hydrated. That keeps the stones floating and they don't lodge into the opening which causes the pain. I've also been told that citrus, oranges, grapefruit, etc. help break up the stones. I don't know about that but I try to eat or drink a little each day. Can't hurt

    I have had a few hard days, with my husband traveling so I have all four kids to take care of alone, (not that I am complaining!.... just making excuses I guess). I haven’t been logging well at all, and haven’t been making the best food choices. I have been exercising, haven’t missed a day of exercise the whole month actually. But the calories and logging not too good. I have been in the Ultimate Accountability Challenge as well and have been trying to post in there daily but being lazy posting here.
    Today:
    Exercise: yes (Tabata and yoga)
    Calories: yes
    Tracked: yes
    Husband is coming home Wednesday and I’m looking forward to that. I weigh in on Thursday and based on my scale so far this week it’s not looking too good. I am hoping I can do better the next couple of days!

    Weigh in week: January Week 4
    Weigh in day: Mondays
    Previous Week's weight: 180.2 lbs
    Todays Weight: 178.8 lbs

    I'm going to do an official weigh in and measurement on February 1st. I'm excited because I have definitely lost inches. I also can't wait to be in the 160s (haven't been in 160s since 2012!) Only 8ish pounds to go!!!

    Very nice loss this week!! I know what you mean about that next group of "ten"....when that second number goes down, it's very rewarding!!

    I can't even imagine being home alone with four children... You're still managing to exercise everyday, which is awesome, and I imagine a sanity-saver as well; that "me-time" where you can recharge your batteries! As far as the eating goes, just do the best you can. That's all any of us can do. If you put on some weight while your husband was away, then you put on some weight. You've been doing so well; don't beat yourself up over a hard few days. You can deal with it when he's back. Hugs!

    Week 5 Weigh-in
    Last week: 188.9 lbs
    This week: 188.4 lbs

    Not a great loss, but .5 pounds in the right direction!

    Absolutely in the right direction! All losses count, and add together in the end!!

    Mini Ultimate Accountability Challenge, January Week #4 (January 21st to January 27th)

    Winner's Circle - 6 or 7 days
    @karynclarke
    @MelsLeanDream

    Notable Effort - 4 or 5 days
    @primekayprime
    @thedestar

    Attempted
    @bizgirl26
    @RinsenRepeat
    @Coheednkimbria
    @enyagoboom
    @Nicoletime4me

    @bizgirl26 had to relinquish her coveted spot in the Winner's Circle while she is in Mexico. Taking over from her, quite admirably, are two new winners. Congratulations @karynclarke and @MelsLeanDream for making it to the top this week!!

    @primekayprime continues to put in a Notable Effort this week, but upping her game to join Kay is @thedestar, with her own Notable Effort!! Congratulations, ladies!
