Steph, do you have a minimum/maximum number of calories that you try to be below your TDEE?0

Nahhhhhhhhh - I just know my mini fast days SHOULD be under 500 (you see how well that worked the last 2 days LMAO) and my weekend days I don't really care if it gets too high...I mean subconsciously I'm sure I try not to go crazy but I've had 3500 cal weekend days
I theorize that THAT is where the fasting comes in - I don't gain any more on a 3500 cal day than an 1800 cal day...if I eat more than a mini fast, I show a gain *shrug* I've also had plenty of days where I ate above TDEE and showed no gain or a LOSS the next day.
I say all that to summarize that I think for me the calories are more an average over time, but the fasting is the "REAL punch" that aids me
All hypothesis of course, but my theory nonetheless0 -
Well it is definitely working for you. I think it is good to just stick with the under 500 as you don't have to worry about calculating anything and can really enjoy your full eating days without any stressors.0
-
Yeah I am beginning to become a fan of the "mini fasts" for sure.....it is super easy and I still feel satisfied......planning on a meal tonight and a water fast tomorrow for sure...….continue to go down mr. scale......way down...…..0
-
Yassssss mini fasts are an amazing tool when used strategically ❤️0

@mistymeadows2005 - My apologies if I am troubling you..I too am interested in your MFP charting. You mentioned this - "I set my MFP for Maintenance first of all" and I am wondering if that's the GW? Hmm...maybe I should try that too and start on mini fasts to see if I can get my weight down. Thank you
Congrats on your loss, @volgirl13220 -

Ok I'm DYING to try this! I'm about to creep on the website and I know I'll want it...but to be fair I'd want it on an eating day and ALSO not be able to get it One more day til weigh in babe, we've got this!!!
@jadepearl
It's no problem!
Go into MFP on your phone.
Enter your current weight (make it as accurate as possible)
Enter your goal weight
At this point it'll set your loss rate according to both (last night mine defaulted to 1 lb/wk)
Change it to maintenance
Go back to your diary and it'll adjust your cals to your BMR and then your fitbit will add your activity0 -
My new addiction.....my snack later at the field if I am hungry......0 -
OMG Steph ---I am a grit snob (being from the south ya know) so I wasn't expecting it to taste as amazing as it did ---it was awesome......maybe some of the best grits I have ever had...….and I've had a lot ………

Description/Photo of Meals:Had a couple of diet Dr. peppers, coffee, and water.....Had 1/2 bag of sf gummies.....Holy crap (more on that on my thread)
What is it with the SF gummies??? Steph you were so right.....multiple trips to the bathroom what the what??? there isn't an ingredient that I can see that makes them like a laxative so I am so confused......Anyway there were a good snack at the ball field.....and maybe next time I won't eat 1/2 a bag...…
Loss of 2 for the week *so happy* i feel that I am back on track, the exercise has helped so much and it isn't affecting my loss. Loving the mini fast as well and think that is helping along with being more mindful of portions!!!!
Thanks for all of your Can't wait to see everyone's results!!!

Donna, Congrats on the 2 pound loss. You are in a good place and all of your positive changes are sure to help move you along in the downward direction weight wise0
-
LOVE IT BABE!!!! AWESOME loss!!! STELLAR!
I agree the mini fasts make a big difference and give me some mental freedom on my weekends!
Ok it's the xylitol that does it (the fake sugar part LOL) - which is why the gummies are WAY harder on my tummy than the jollies, because you get way more of it at a time in the gummies! It DOES clean you out but it's rather uncomfortable and inconvenient! LOL
I always end up eating a whole bag if I'm not just grabbing one omw to bed LOL0 -
Okay yeah that is it.....I was like oh a 1/2 bag no biggie but dang......it was a long night oh well it was for a good cause it made the scale event this morning better and i love gummies will just have to have more control next time...….I can never just eat a couple...….1
-
That's my problem too! LOL - I'm ok with it...If I know to prep for it, it's worth it IMO LOL0
-
Yep I think on my THursdays it will be my snack during my water fast.....It works with the baseball schedule, keeps me away from funnel fries, and also helps with the weigh in LOL I may just eat them earlier so I can get more sleep ----But they are sooooo good......0

It was a good weekend yesterday was the larger of the two eating days but portions were still smaller than they had been in the past. Can totally tell with clothes they are looser now so I am sure the toning and building of muscles from spinning is helping in that regard.
Would love another 2lb loss this week...…:) Back on track for OMAD this week and may do another water fast on Thursday...….
