7 hours 21 minutes. I got up thinking it was 7am, but it was only 6. I didn't notice for about 15 minutes. :(

    Last night’s successes:
Bedtime: 12:25 (30 mins earlier than previous night)
Slept: 7 hours for 4th night
    Deep: 33%
    Fell asleep/restless: 9min

    Things not as good:
Actual Sleep: 5hr 40 (40 mins less than last2 nights)
    Awake 20%
    Light 40%
    REM 7%

Fascinating. Cat woke me up. The best Deep Sleep I had was with window open. Am tracking that now...was concerned outside noises would wake me, but maybe it helps me sleep more deeply!

6 hours and 24 minutes. I did go to bed almost an hour later than my 10 pm bedtime, and I would have had time to sleep in. But I wake up in the morning. I really need to commit to getting the time in bed before midnight because I really struggle to sleep late. Yeah, that whole have a regular bedtime/wake up time. But I don't want to get up every morning at 5 am. tenor.gif

I am tired. I certainly do not feel rested today. Jonny arrives at 6 am. I was hoping to get a walk in before he arrived but as I was preparing my coffee we were hit with a thunderstorm. My other grandson Ky arrives at 8 am and while they play I hope to sneak in a few Leslie Sansone miles.

5 hours and 21 minutes, but I only awakened once before 5am, so I actually feel pretty good. I took your suggestion, @prgirl39mfp , and wore fewer clothes (only a cami and shorts), and it helped.

@77tes that's fantastic. Glad it helps. I will continue to do it and keep track. So far, it is working for me as well.

    Last night was bad: 3:59

    1:08 deep
    2:06 light
    45 min REM
    6 min awake.

Had a hard discussion with my husband, cried and was very emotional and of course ate right before bed, so note to self: critical discussions during the day, stop eating after 6/7pm tops.

Sorry you had a rough night, @prgirl39mfp. :D

My husband has a bad habit of thinking of problems, annoyances, and worries right at bed time. I've pointed it out to him, and he said that he's just like when babies are tired - they get fussy. :D He still does it, though. :s

Just found this thread. Finally getting the lay of the land on the many threads on this forum.

Sleep is so important to our mental and physical health. This is a nice summary of risks benefits & tips from Hopkins medicine. Have to remind myself.
    https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/awareness/sleep.html

I do best with my high school bedtime of 930. Up early hit rucumbant bike at home do a little yoga tidy maybe email depending on work ... and go get ready for a fierce day.

    Best wishes to all.

Guess what my thoughtful daughter did for me? She bought me two wonderfully comfortable new pillows as a belated Mother’s Day gift! I NEVER think about replacing my pillows. These are so comfy. I know they will help me sleep better. And she said specifically “I think you need these for your Summer of Sleep challenge”

So if you haven’t replaced your pillows in awhile, might be something to consider....

Thanks. I need to be more cautious.

Glad everyone is giving this challenge the importance it deserves. Health is so much more than exercise and food. Thanks @themedalist !

Not a good nights sleep. I was in too much pain to rest well. I got on my yoga mat twice. I took my grandsons to the movies and a trampoline park this week which resulted in me sitting too long. UGH.
