It's nice that I can set my goals for my macros with MyFitnessPal. If I plateau, I'll go back to counting calories. Anyone else doing a ketogenic diet?
I always wanted to try but can't find a good information about recipes and the right food plan
@mrs1spy - There are tons of recipes online along with food plans. Also lots of books.0 -

I wanted to try keto, too, but I felt like it was more important to keep my morning espresso habit for sanity. I also figured it would be easier to continue a lifestyle for maintenance eating food I plan to keep eating. It may take longer for me to lose, but I will have plenty of practice eating healthier. In general, I do try to keep carbs in check still.
@lk2011 I feel the same way. With over 100 lbs to lose, I need to do what I can maintain over the long haul. More importantly, I need to learn the valuable lesson of discipline that only comes over time. Just my 2 cents.
@lk2011 I understand. I've been eating a 'balanced' diabetic diet for over 2 year. There were just too many carbs for me to lose more than 2 lbs month. My plan for the long haul is to increase my carbs to 50/day to maintain my weight once I've achieved my goal. I also don't think that a ketogenic diet is meant for everyone. It sounds as if you know what will work best for you. Good luck to us all!1 -

@WA_Teacher Do you think that keeping an emotion diary along with your food diary would help you identify why/when you're eating?0

Yay! MFP decided to let me back into the groups and forums! I was locked out for most of the day yesterday. It kept giving me either and error message or a maintenance message. I could log food and see my homepage also, but I couldn't close my diary and my comments kept disappearing too. It looks like it is fixed now though.3

Wow! I'm actually pretty surprised that I didn't gain with everything I ate at the beginning of the week. Went over on sodium a lot too. Everything should be going back to normal this week, so I am back on track though.7 -

I am also doing Keto.It seems easy but I need to log the Carbs bc they do get away & add up quickly.(Ex,anything breaded also,look for hidden sugar). Weight is dropping as I also continue with getting more than 10000 steps/day.Today is day32.Good luck with Keto I will,like to hear about your progress.1 -

Super stressful day, my website is down, I have no business email, all because I ignored what looked like spam and I did not update my contact information for my domain name. I am so aggravated-so I drank two good beers and ate a half a brick of Swiss cheese!
Having my website and emails down right after spending an entire weekend promoting at an expo is NOT GOOD!
Oh and I might just have a third beer too!1 -
@shanteel612 I try not to eat exercise calories, but if I do, I try to stay within half to 2/3rd. for margin of error.
@mrs1spy That is why I have random reference goals every night. I got tired of daily goal: eat less, move more....now my daily goal is to not die of dysentery.
@12774 Awesome week weigh in!
@starshine15 Yeah, it is really hard to stay within carbs on keto.
@ghy5 another great day!
@cdavisdeva Well, now I am going to have to incorporate pancakes into my dinner menu sometime this week....thanks!2 -
@cindyk4919 rut row! A good workout works some of that stress off too! Wii fit balance games when you're drunk is also a highly entertaining form of stress relief (yes, that is from experience)2

Daily post - 29th January
Tracking: yes
Calories: under by 400
Exercise: no, did 14.5k steps though
I got sidetracked at work and missed eating breakfast, hence the low calorie intake (I usually eat breakfast late around 10am), then my car broke down on the way home and it took me 3 hours to get the car to the mechanic & get public transport home.
Oh and one of my kids who has been feeling off since Saturday has now got gastro. What a day!1
