    Good morning!

100 squats yesterday and luckily today is a rest day because my ankles are pretty sore suddenly. I will read up and be sure not to overdo it and injure myself.

It’s a chilly one today! Have a great day, warriors!

Not feeling great about weigh in tomorrow. I ate at maintenance most of this week. I was hungry when I ate and I finally stopped coughing so maybe I needed it, but I don't want to weigh in tomorrow. I just don't.

In other news, I have scheduled my colonoscopy for the first Monday in February because hubby will be home and available to drive me. I hate the thought of it, but my dad has had 100+ polyps removed and because I work for the cancer docs I know that undetected colon cancer is one of the worst kinds so I am doing it.

If you are around my age (50) and haven't had one, get it done. I nag about the preventive stuff, but it won't do you any good to lose the fat if you're ignoring the rest of your body.

Is there a history of familial polyposis?

Yes. My dad and his sisters.

Sorry guys. I'm going to have to tighten back up on my carbs and I am stressed about work and at least I am well now.

Crazy but yesterday my weight was much better. I'm still trying to get to the preholiday weight. It's amazing how fast it goes on and how hard it is to come off.

I had my typical - egg + egg white, onions and peppers, air roasted potatoes and a turkey sausage link.
I splurged for lunch and had sushi - only 1/2 order and 3 dumplings
Dinner will be a deconstructed cabbage roll aka cabbage roll casserole.

I am should be ending the day at about 1100 cals IF I CAN STAY AWAY FROM THE WINE!!! I am a total WINEAUX!

I had microwaved porridge oats with semi skimmed milk, fresh banana and persimmon. Bacon with cheese and eggs sounds great!

Sensible lunch with chicken and butternut squash curry for dinner today, but have given into LNS, just because I was after something sweet - which wasn't fruit! Any suggestions for sweet alternatives to LNS which won't undo all the good efforts during the day?

OH my, what a day. I did okay on eating by some miracle, but I had a meeting I totally forgot about and I was not prepared. It went better than I thought it would.
I had to walk inside at lunch. It's frigid here, especially for Tennessee.

For breakfast this week, I made some egg muffins with sausage, cheese, and spinach and I made a baked oatmeal with blueberries. I plan to alternate one day eggs and one day oatmeal, but both just 45 seconds in the microwave, so quick before work.

So I have heard from my coworker’s son (who is a personal trainer) and he says this squat challenge is insane and I should absolutely not do it. Whoops! I will defer to his vastly more qualified judgement and stop increasing my reps. I will commit to daily squats without aiming for 250.

Had a good day today. Lots of hours left and lots to do so I’ll check in later!

Squats are great but not 250 in a day. He suggested keeping squats but doing whole body work including planks. Instead of hundreds of squats a wall sit would be better because it’s not a repetitive strain on the knees. I tried last night, that is hard! So I’m going to keep squatting but add more variety and worry about quality over quantity.

Good morning, Warriors. I am skipping breakfast this morning on favor of my favorite food truck. They come to the hospital about once a month. They are friends of mine and they have fabulous fries.

    morning update

Dinner last night didn't go as planned. K had fabricated about 2 hrs work for me AFTER I got home, so left no time for the new casserole I want to try. I will probably attempt tonight.
I ended up making a sub ring instead. THOSE ARE SO TASTY!! That is officially Kevin's favorite thing I make and it is so easy. Not so healthy, but easy. I also ended up having mimosa's last night. I BARELY made it under my calories for the day - but I was still GREEN!!!

I think I have had mimosa's lately bc they remind me of sunny weather with the OJ. Thank goodness for Trop50 - that is a HUGE calorie savings!!!!

    Today:
    Breakfast - CC of yesterday
    Lunch - CC of yesterday
Dinner - the deconstructed cabbage roll casserole that I planned for last night.
