At least it’s not a gain, right? LOL! That’s how I’m looking at it. ‘No shame in a gain or a maintain’ as they say at group. There’s still a bit of me that does feel shame but I’m working on being kinder to myself. I remember when I first started Slimming World I’d had a bad few weeks and I told myself stressing out was keeping my cortisol level high (which can lead to weight gain - I can attest to that from last year) so one week I was kind to myself and if I slipped up I said it’s okay, you can only do what you can do, you’re doing your best etc... and the week after I had a loss! I need to do that again.
Breathe in happy, breathe out fear!

I can do so much better than that! Come on, whatever is still left of this virus, time to go so I can get back to being a beast!
Definitely be kind to yourself! We all could use more of that. This is a lifestyle change we are making so its a marathon not a sprint. Hang in there for the long haul. 🙂👍🏼👍🏼1 -

Anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend?
I’ve got a Sky engineer coming tomorrow to upgrade our TV package (gadz) so will need to stay around waiting for them. We have a storm atm (Storm Eric) so might be best to stay in otherwise a quiet one for us0 -

My husband and I are headed to Boston to see one of our sons. He is in a play opening Sunday night. So looking forward to seeing him!
Hope you stay safe in the storm!1 -

Hi guys.
Here is our step count for the week.
We were LAST PLACE among the groups. I think if we had reported better (myself included - my Saturday was not counted) we could have been better than last
If you cannot report - please let me know. We have a couple backups waiting to take slot.0 -
Well done on the group weigh in results!
I was naughty and went out for breakfast with my husband this morning. Had poached eggs with black pudding and sour dough. Maybe a piece of millionaires shortbread... Something didn’t agree with us though as my husband and I have been playing bathroom ping pong with each other due to dodgy bellies. I guess that’s the diet karma gods least we didn’t want anything else all day0 -

Monday weigh-in
Week 2 results
PW: 255lbs
CW:252lbs
Happy with the overall loss, but my weight was a bit more zigzag through the week.
Interestingly, when I strayed mildly from my diet on Wednesday (as I attended a Bushtucker workshop to learn more about native foods and sampled a few things), which involved eating some macadamia pesto on bread (I do not usually eat bread, and have a mildly keto diet), a couple hours after eating it I was ravenously hungry all afternoon and evening. I think the bread - even though it was only one slice - triggered my body to want more. It's only the second time I've really felt hungry in the past two weeks (the other time my partner & daughter were cooking pizza, and the smell had me salivating and triggered a hunger that wouldn't go away even though I had eaten enough of my own food). It really makes me think about the "triggers" to hunger, which can tempt me to overeat.
For week 3 my intention is to stick better to my diet (no bread!) and increase my exercise.1 -
