Great going!!!!!
Thank you! 140 was my original goal, based just on it being what I weighed the last time I was in excellent shape. So, yes, the number I have been shooting for for the last 15 months. Woohoo! Now that I am past that number, I know I want to take off a little more fat (5-10 lbs) and add some muscle. So continue to eat carefully and keep up with the training.3 -

Glad to be back for April! March was a really tough month - I’m a special Ed teacher and there was just a lot going on. At this point I’m focusing on the basics - sticking to my workouts and making good food choices. Over the last 5 years I’ve gained back about 20lbs. Last year I had a persistent IT band issue, and recently a shoulder injury. I got a cortisone shot last week, and I’m hopeful that it’s helping.
I am going to try to check in each day to help stay on track. I’m not logging food yet, just focusing on good choices and sticking with my usual meal choices,
Monday
Food - on track
Exercise - 4 mile run
So far on track for the week3 -
Just sayin'4 -

Appalachian Trail Mission Slimpossibles Thru Hike Step Challenge
Any new members wanting to join us, just post your steps in the team thread, and you willl help us finish our hike from Georgia to Maine. Katahdin, here we come!
Distance So Far: 1586 miles
Remember, not too long ago, we were in Virginia for 500 miles, but in this 280-mile segment since our last check in, we have hiked through 5 states!
Pennsylvania along the AT is nicknamed Rocksylvania, and for good reason! The trail becomes progressively more rocky until there no longer is a trail, just white blazes painted on rocks for the hiker to follow:
The Pennsylvania rocks at best have hikers stumbling around like a drunken sailor for miles at a time; at worst the jagged rocks grab and tear at boots, twist ankles, snap trekking poles, bloody shins, sap spirits and exhaust already weary walkers. Take a fall on the nasty rocks, and all bets are off. Katahdin dreams have ended for many a hiker due to falls on those rocks. But we made it through and have left Pennsylvania behind us and our sore feet.
After leaving Pennsylvania, the trail runs through a snippet of New Jersey and New York, surprisingly close to major metropolitan areas, but yet we still get views like this:
One of the highlights of NY is the Lemon Squeezer. As one of the most well-known features on the trail, the Lemon Squeezer is a fun, yet challenging, crevasse-like opening through some giant boulders through which the trail passes. The trail gets incredibly narrow through this section, and requires many hikers to completely remove their packs and hand over hand climb through the opening. Whoever designed the trail through here definitely had a sense of humor!
Connecticut is another state with only a few miles of trail—52 to be exact, and we have walked right through that as well. Rand’s View is one of the special places on the trail in Connecticut.
And, finally, for today: Massachusetts, home of Mt. Greylock:
Only 600 more miles to go, Slimpossibles! How fast can we get there? That depends on each of us! Post those steps, so we can "Hike On!"5 -

Wow... I've been trying to get on for days. Wouldn't work at all on my phone app, and took 3 goes just on the laptop.
Steps I think I'm missing:
28/3 - 14168
29/3 10828
30/3 30063
31/3 7467
01/4 14631

Previous 169
Current 169
So frustrating! My tummy looks flatter, but I'm now stepping up as I need to burn fat, as well as just doing quick HIITs and weights.
