@cyndiesstuff so sorry you are going through a tough time! I felt like that, I just didn't want to be bothered, no motivation, but I started feeling better and got back on track. Hang in there, hopefully whatever you're going through passes. Maybe because you are recovering from surgery and you are lethargic. xoxo1

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well!
I was off from work yesterday. I had my yearly skin cancer screening as a precaution, I am so fair, I need to stay on top of my skin. I got tons done. I woke up early, stripped the beds, threw laundry in the machine, hit the gym, food shopped, cleaned the bathroom and made lentils soup for dinner. I love how I feel after I get so much accomplished during the day. I was able to eat my soup and relax in the evening.
I am down another pound since Saturday's weigh-in, I am hoping to drop another pound or 2 by Saturday, we will see. I am feeling good! I have decided to not be so hard on myself, it does not have to be all or nothing, which seems to be working. Even if I eat something that is not the best, it does not mean I should keep eating crap the rest of the day. I have a tendency to give myself permission to go completely off track if I eat one or 2 things that I know are bad. Taking it day by day!
@cyndiesstuff glad you are feeling better! We all have those days.

According to the Beck Diet solution: If you’re having trouble getting yourself to stop eating something because it tastes really good, remind yourself that stopping comes with some huge benefits – you get to feel in control and on track, you don’t take in too many calories, you enable yourself to lose weight, you don’t ruin the enjoyment of the eating experience by overeating, etc. Stopping isn’t a negative!
So do something positive today, just stop!!6 -

After my make over Robin and I went to Belks for new black work pants for me. It’s official...SIZE 6!!! I tried on 3 pairs. I don’t recall ever wearing anything lower than a 10 since...maybe 30 years ago? So it’s interesting to be losing weight slower now but still dropped a pant size.

Well here i am, april 11th with snow on the ground. physically i am feeling lots better. mentally ehhhh working on it. i didn't eat good but i didn't eat to much yesterday. i did get all the info together for the prenuptial agreement we are going to have drawn up for our wedding. my idea not his. i have been screwed to many times not to protect what i have left. today is bill pay day and administration. i have lots of odds and ends that i need to take care of. medical bills mainly.
@Mrsbell8well ohhh my you look so great in that picture. look at you skinny! now you really are skinny minnie! yes, sweaty yoga counts!! sweat away girl and count it! i knew you looked skinny. it is official. size 6 it is.
@GingerPwr thanks for catching up. but on sunday and tuesday didn't you get any steps? you can have both and earn bases for both.
@Julie8468 good job on the no alcohol. alcohol is a lot of empty calories. mmmm and as for coffee, i just love that first cup in the morning! mmmm. good job at getting in those steps.

Learning to lose weight and keep it off is a process and it takes time. It is like a toddler learning to walk. The toddler falls many times but never gives up. Everytime the toddler falls they learn a little bit more about the fall. They also strengthen the muscles they need to succeed. I’m not going to learn this overnight, and I’m not going to be good at it overnight. I need to learn why I fall and I need to build the muscles I need. Just because I gave in once, doesn’t lessen all the other times I didn’t. I need to take an accurate picture of how things are really going and acknowledge that while I’m not perfect, I’m better than I was. As long as I keep working at it, I’ll keep moving forward.4 -

Wow... sure wasn't expecting that much of a gain. I feel like I'm retaining water also. After four days of rain, woke to snow this morning. I'm so ready for spring weather. I can't believe I managed to undue two weeks of progress. Not feeling so spiffy physically or mentally.5

Good morning and happy April 11th everyone! I'm so close to the end of tax season and so ready for it to be over. I can get my life back!! Anyways, I have been doing well - still drinking my water (not always the 8 glasses I want - but close), I haven't had any sweets since November and I actually have my "nut problem" under control!! That sounds funny - but I discovered that if I go to a store that sells bulk nuts and get myself a small baggy full of them - I can use them as a treat. The days of buying cans and trying to limit myself are over. I guess its important to know ourselves and our limitations as we struggle to get and stay healthy!! I'm hoping to report a weight loss this week if I can behave myself today. It is a challenge because I let my clients push me to the deadlines of April 15th. You probably wonder why at this point I don't just tell them I need to get them an extension? Well that is because I don't like doing tax returns in the summer! So I would rather work extra hard now and get it over with. The problem is that I have spoiled some clients and they know if they bring it in this late I will get it done.
Anyways, sorry to dump here but I'm exhausted and excited all at the same time. Next Wednesday I am flying to California to spend some time with an old High School friend and then my brother and his wife. I'm really looking forward to getting away.6 -

My weight loss this week is so misleading. I’ve been over calories the last 6 days and just can’t seem to get myself back on track. At least I keep logging, so I know exactly how bad I’m doing lol. I’ve done the math and it’s really a maintain week. I would guess the loss is water weight coming off from the week before. Perfect example of how the scale doesn’t tell the whole story!
I have both kids home today because of the snow! If the winds calm down, we might go out and build a snowman…in April

Hello and happy Thursday, almost TGIF!!!
I am feeling really good! I have been staying on track. We went out to dinner last night so I wasn't able to workout, but I ate well and got in over 10K steps for the day. I had some wine and fish for dinner, it was good. The scale has been the exact same since Monday morning. I am hoping tomorrow I will see a drop, I will be hitting the elliptical tonight. I usually see a decent drop when I have been on track and the scale hasn't moved, then all of a sudden it drops a pound or 2, which I am hoping to see by Saturday. I am still down from my last weigh-in, only .2 from being back in the 160's. I can't wait to see the 150's again, but I am taking it day by day, I will get there!

@lennoncpa I am sure you are so happy Monday is April 15th! Hang in there, you are almost at the finish line! Enjoy your trip to CA. It is so hard to control our portions, but sounds like you are succeeding!

@nstephenson01 I have been there too many times! I was 155 in December, now I am back in the 170's, almost back in the 160's, but I was right there and undid all my hard work! Stick with it, you will get back on track!2
