Thank you for all the kind words about my pup. His kidney values were up due to dehydration and they are back to normal. His oncologist did not think his anal growth had increased so it was from the meds. He will be back in two weeks for an ultra sound to measure his secondary metastasis.
He has been on these oral drugs for 195 days now. That does no include his initial months of IV chemo. He will not survive this cancer. We have only bought him more time to be with us. We give him lots of love. Having two dogs that are failing at the same time was not our plan. He is going to be 12 or 13and our MD or Spinal Stenosis pup will be 14 or 15. I think Finn will most likely go first from the cancer. But God has given us 19 extra months with him thus far and we are so blessed.

@clepant, enjoy each day they give you!! I've lost 3 dogs in a little over 2 years & I miss them ALL! They brought so much to our lives.. The last one we lost had been with us the shortest time but he had such of a sweet gentle spirit & he LOVED & ADORED me.
3.3 from bike & 5.5 from walking my feet!

@vhuber: I know what you mean. We have them such a short time but they have us our whole life or almost all of it if adopted. My Merit cannot walk but she still is loving and happy. I put her bones in the warm sun and she lets me know when she wants water or to go to the bathroom. My friends say that it is no life for a dog and I ask them, so if your child was bed ridden or paralyzed, you would put them to sleep?
Finn is doing much better. I almost hate to start chemo again but I will provide him more things for his stomach issues.1 -
