what a beautiful day it was yesterday. sunny and 78 degrees. so it was a great day to get out the shorts and tiny top and clean vehicles. they sparkle like crazy! laundry, menu plan, and grocery shopping are done too. we have a deer and her fawn living somewhere close in the woods. i have seen them 4 or 5 times now. momma deer is teaching baby how to forage for food. it is really quite beautiful. on with my day.
@Julie8468 maintains are good. it means that you are learning to live your life the way it was intended. good job.
@sleepymom5 hey! good job with that loss. now lets keep it going. what will you do today? write it down and stick it to your forehead. our new life style has to be top of mind!! and journaling is a good plan. i have a cute little notebook right on the end table by the couch. when i feel the impulse the urge, i start writing. it is kinda like that 90 second thing. it just really gives you time to think about it. and i missed you guys too. we will figure this out together, one day at a time!!

@pacsnc6 little less than a pound, thats not real bad. lets change that this next week. what is your commitment for the week. be specific about your treats and right it down. put it where you will see it when you go to get the snacks and require yourself to read it and abide by it before you snack. you can do this.
@Cafelelia nice loss this week lady! now be careful what you say to yourself. you said ONLY 3km. don't minimize what an accomplishment this is. it is one of the most amazing nsv's. you are running again!! spend a few minutes today and write out how far you have come in the last 6 months. positivity if the key to lasting results.

@nstephenson01 your garden looks lovely. ours is kinda yellow. it is drowning. we have had so much rain. hopefully it will survive. all we can do now is pray and love it. i am going out this morning to weed! the bunnies have ate my lettuce. i haven't been able to spray the perimeter of the garden because of the rain. going to spray today and hope the lettuce comes again and it may!! lol and i got jim a smoker for his birthday, wedding present, honeymoon, and cyndie loves smoked meat!! we seasoned it yesterday. it is ready for the first batch of something. maybe fish!

@Julie8468 lol! as a matter of fact, i did check the frog for a crack. he did not have one! but i still wanted to take him home and put him by my front door. he was sooo sticking cute!! i did drive the buggy. i drove it for about 30 minutes. it was exhilarating. i was not as agressive as jim. but it was fun, fun, fun going super fast along the beach.

it is the weekend team mates! what is your exercise plan for the weekend? many times we are good during the week and slack off on the weekend, our mind frame is i have been good all week. i deserve a break. that is diet mentality. there is no break. this is a life style. so lets treat the weekend like it's a week day. include fun and relaxation but also, good healthy food and exercise and activity.
My exercise commitment for the weekend:
Saturday: yoga outside
Sunday: treadmill

The weekend is a great time to fit in exercise. Remember – 5 minutes is ALWAYS better than 0 minutes. Likely the hardest part is just getting started and once you’re done you definitely won’t regret it.

This weekend:
Did some whole body work at the gym this morning. Had 2 pancakes for breakfast. Medium size... not sure how to log it I'll guesstimate.
Having Italian sausage and roasted veggies this evening as a "goodbye" dinner for our son. He leaves for basic Monday.
NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL TODAY.
Housework and errands throughout the day. Might hit a friend's pool tomorrow, but also going to a steakhouse for dinner.

Yesterday did not go as planned. My washer died, of course full of water. That is why I wasn't able to get back on here last night. I was trying to find another washer and dryer that would fit in the space. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I figured I would get a dryer too since that hasn't been working too great either. Today I have a fund raiser I have to go to. I hope I can just kind of show up and give my money and leave after a bit. I hI have to also organize my y inside.clothes, my room is a mess and I really am not unpacked but I don't have a lot of space so I have been putting it off. It is just too nice out to stay inside cleaning. I also scheduled my MRI for Tuesday morning. Hopefully some answers. If not PT is the next step.
I actually am going to be proactive and see if there is anywhere down here I can go that takes my insurance. Ok-off I go! Have a nice weekend everyone!

This morning, we finally got to our garage, shed & backyard for the final stage of my Marie Kondo journey. It was not bad, but there is enough junk fior one truck pick up. My husband had a mystery box in the garage, which turned out to be empty!! In a few weeks, we are having some work done to transform the back into more of teen/tween/hang out space, so we are ready now. It is a beautiful day here and I now have to get ready fior the teens to descend upon our house for the birthday party!

Yesterday's yoga class was a good one! Felt very relaxed so didn't accomplish much afterwards. Fell asleep last night on the couch watching on old Jack Lemmon/Shirley Mclaine movie. High times on a Friday night in Montana LOL
I find that I retain a lot of water after the yoga classes no doubt from muscles recovering from what I just put them through so I'm trying to up my water but there's only so much I can drink!! LOL

i wasn't going to talk about it again. i have worked hard and i am still struggling. i know that this is not easy but i feel like i say i am going to do it but i have really given up. i binged yesterday. i am tired of every morning saying today is the day. i am going to do it today. its just one day. it feels like a lie. counseling tomorrow. i need to find the willingness to use my tools. i know what i should do, i know what i should do before i start. i just don't. on a brighter note, the garden looks like it just might make it. the plants are still the same size they were when we planted them. the rain and cold has stunted their growth. if the garden produces at all this year, it will be very late. oh well. it is struggling like me. i won't give up. but i am hanging on by a thread.

Today is food prep day. we also have to get the low boy out and go pick up our excavator. i have today and tomorrow off. then it is back to work, i am excited to find out the next step for my new job. hopefully tuesday i will have a better idea of the next steps that have to be done to facilitate the move.2

Last week was a dumpster fire of letting stress take over and make one bad decision after another. Today marks the start of my birthday week. Wednesday is the big Five O! While I won't see 165 as I had hoped, 167 or 168 would be great!
Today will be a full day of yard work. Gotta get the overgrowth of grasses and weeds knocked down. Other than yoga and short dog walks, all other forms of exercise have been on the sidelines while I get outside chores done. If I can get quite a bit accomplished today hopefully I can take the dogs on a nice long hike tomorrow.
@cyndiesstuff My garden seemed to survive the last few days of cold weather but my plants aren't any bigger either. I may need to replace a few plants that don't look so well.

We are on our way to the Shenandoah for a lovely day of hiking. I was up early baking blackberry handpies for our picnic. I also made curry chickpea sandwiches on chiabotta bread with fresh spinach and a ripe summer tomato, hot spicy pickes, red grapes, blue organic corn chips, popcorn and dark chocolate almond kind bars with iced peppermint tea. Yesterday wasn't too bad. I didn't get on the bike, I waited too long. It just gets too crowded and it isn't worth going out. I did take a longer walk by myself so my pace was quicker than it has been. Eating actually was good. I ate what I planned to. I didn't eat at the benefit but did drink. I wasn't planning to drink but did have one more than my usual plan. Today I am pre-logged already, not sure about the bike but if I don't ride my bike, I am going to take a walk on the beach. It will be longer than I have been going. Walking seems to aggravate my hip the most so I am trying to advance slowly.
Yesterday I also was thinking about how I am basically staying at the same weight. I gain a few and lose a few but not making any real progress. I need to get my head back in the game so I decided to do the 4 circle method using my son's wedding at the end of November as my ultimate goal. I think 25 lbs at this point is reasonable. It should make a difference in my appearance and another plus is I only would have about 25 more pounds to lose to my goal. I actually have lost about 1/3 of the weight I want to lose, 25lbs would be about another 1/3 and then I would have my last 1/3 to get off.
Here are my four circles but in lines because I do not know how to do circles on the computer Lol!
Goal- Lose 25 lbs by November (5lbs/mo)
Monthly- Lose 5 lbs by August
Weekly- Lose 1-2 lbs/ week
Daily- 1300 cals/day, 64 oz daily water, 7500k steps, exercise daily 30 min, eat only when hungry, no snacks at night and watch carbs.
I know we have a week left in June, that is just bonus weight. The math was too easy starting with July. I also know I am including the month of November. Danny gets married at the end of the month, that is why I did that.
@nstephenson01 Sometimes you need to listen to your body if you are hungry. Just be sure you are hungry and fill it with fuel not junk. I know you already know what to do, you have come so far. I bet you are right about the fluid retention. Just keep drinking Lol! I am glad you are enjoying yoga. Wow! The big 5-0! I find it to be a great decade so far-I am 3 years ahead of you.
@cyndiesstuff I am sorry to hear you are struggling. Try to look at the positive things. You are having more good days than bad, you do have a counselor you can talk to and you have all of us to share your struggles with. I don't know if there are triggers to your binging? You have a lot of things going on right now, new marriage, new job, leaving the old job, your son, helping with the farm... or could a trigger be that you were super busy before the wedding and now that is all over? I am not an expect but I would think all those things would factor into it. I know you are tired of it but make your "just for today" plan. Just take one day at a time. You can do it. Don't give up on yourself. xoxo

Good Morning! stuck a post-it on my bathroom mirror to remind me to weigh in before i head out for the day!
Spent yesterday volunteering at a local music festival that I have been volunteering at for the last 11 years! It’s always the same team in the beer garden so it’s fun to catch up with everyone! There’s always a lot of snacks and beer, but this year I brought my own water jug and stuck with that! I did partake in the Vegan Food Truck through and had some ‘Not-Fish Tacos’ which were so good! (i didn’t know what it was if it wasn’t fish, but i just googled their menu and it was Heart of Palm!)
Back to the office today to get a grip on the week ahead. My goal is to take time for a lunch break every day, even if it’s just 15 minutes. Get up from my desk, take a quick walk, eat lunch. I’m no good to anyone if i’m burnt out and cranky and unfocused!

@nstephenson01 i don’t remember if i ever told you we went to the suspension bridge near Troy, MT, and you were right - it was so awesome!! i didn’t want to cross it (it was so windy that day lol) but my friend made me do it! He said, ‘we didn’t walk all the way here just to look at it! Get up there!’ lol.
We’re heading back to Montana for the Under The Big Sky Fest in a few weeks, can’t wait!
