Daily check in:
No swim today but I did walk twice. There were light rain showers when I went for my second walk and I almost turned around. My neighbor was leaving the building at the same time and she reminded me I am not sugar and I won’t melt. Yesterday’s steps: 7,490.
@LaurieWrobo I am glad your migraine finally eased off.
@kilobykilo do you use a weight trending app? I use Happy Scale and it gives me a better overall picture of my weight variations.1 -
@lindamtuck2018 I love walking/running in light rain! Was brought up with the mantra 'you won't melt'!
I use libra; but still don't like the number rising! I hope to eventually move away from weighing in often, but, need to be closer to goal first!
Had a lovely evening last night, and only a couple of glasses of wine; but far too much bread, cheese and pizza (whoops!) Back on it today and determined to have a great 7 days between tomorrow's weigh in and the next!
Steps for 16th July - 17952
Today I've planned in my fruit and walk and looking forward to evening stretches! Something that might just become a habit2 -
Hey guys! I've been a little absent for a few days. I've been feeling overwhelmed with always being "behind" on everything. I just decided to push hard and get caught up. Finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm excited because today is a half day at work, so maybe this afternoon I will get a chance to take a walk or jog. The heat here is brutal right now. 😵 I preplanned all three main meals for this entire week (and already logged them in MFP) and so far that has been amazing. A real time saver.

I am very happy with this week. A bit surprised, but very happy. I had some making up to do since last weeks number was a pound up after a 6 day vacation.
It just shows that the hard work pays off. In reading the threads here, I’ve noticed that some of our teammates have been struggling. I hope to provide some encouragement and motivation. This is a long difficult path.
I find that the motivation for me comes from thinking of how badly I want that goal. Focus focus focus on that goal. Make it your constant subconscious thought. How great will you feel standing on the scale and seeing that number? This is how I have remained on track. It helps me to make the better small choices each day that will ultimately get me there. If you eat that donut or cheeseburger today you might feel great for a minute or 2, but then you’ll feel awful. Remind yourself.
My road has not been perfect by any stretch. I have certainly had my challenges and have slipped several times. I think what has helped me is the working out. I still eat healthy about 80% of the time, but I’ve eaten some bad food. But I’ve kept up with the workouts. Weights 3 days a week and at least 30 minutes of real hard cardio 3-5 days a week.
I started at 205 on May 20th and joined this group June 1. I still have 26lbs to hit my ultimate goal, so a long way to go!
C’mon shrinking assets! Let’s kick *kitten* the rest of July and keep that winning spot and we’ll all feel awesome at the end of another successful month!
After all that unsolicited nonsense, I’m sure I’ll be 194 next Wednesday! 😜🤪😂8 -
So far today, I have ate properly.
I had a coffee, then some scrambled eggs and ham steak.
I am having a diet coke right now.4 -
Good news. After 6 weeks of knee injury and no exercise, I am finally back to my cardio. I tried returning to the bike, but still had knee pain the next day. So I upgraded from my little exercise bike to a seated elliptical trainer. The concept of pushing on the foot pedals rather like a gas pedal in a car is used in rehab for knee injuries. Plus it has arm 'poles' for both leg and arm workout. I have tried many pieces of exercise equipment over the decades and this is my favorite by far. I am not fond of exercise, but am really enjoying this seated elliptical. Woke up this morning with slightly sore leg and arm muscles, just enough to remind me how good it is to move and exercise and feel my body at work. And no more knee pain!5

Best intentions didn't quite come off today..... no stretches, no special walk. Work got crazy and I had to bring it home with me...... ate on plan today but was well up this morning due to wine and pizza (planned treat)yest, and almost time of the month so retaining water. Going to bed thinking slim thoughts...... ha ha ha..... I need a miracle to see a loss in the morning that's for sure!3

Hey guys, sorry I have been MIA. Have been on a super exhausting trip; a night here, two nights there and so on. Cousin twice removed got married and we had a blast at her wedding. After that it was just run, run, run. Home now and have collapsed. Will post a WI tomorrow after a restful night.
Hope all is well in your world.3 -
Walked twice today but it was in my apartment. If you walk my hall and kitchen 200 times it is 25 minutes. It is also very boring but it really hot outside. I did stay within my calories, so that makes me happy. I was really lazy the rest of the day and spent it trying to catch up on Big Brother. Steps yesterday: 8,7713

Aiming to do everything on today's pyramid challenge, too.
@lindamtuck2018 good job on the walk, in or out it counts, right?!
@RecipeScrapper I hope you've had a great sleep and feeling recovered from your trip.
I hope everyone is doing okay, have a good Thursday. We can almost smell the weekend!4
