The downward trend is holding. I feared it would quickly disappear 🫠. But I seem to be in a good head space right now.2

Woo Hoo Yooly! Down is awesome!2
-
Yeah it’s a downward trend. But sooooo slow. It’s so much more difficult managing my pitiful 1350-1500 calories a day. No one tells you that when you’re close to maintenance it’s not as fast as when I had 100 pounds to lose. 🥺. Regain a few pounds and it’s going to be a battle!

Good job, Yooly. Patience will be my key word for 2024. I'll share with you (if I find some.).2

I’m not taking a victory lap over two pounds but hey it’s progress.1
-
I would take a (start of) victory lap!1

Still hanging on to those two lost pounds. I’m hoping now that I’m able to exercise regularly it will continue to progress downward. There are signs of spring here already and bikini season is rapidly approaching. And for me it’s vacation season which involves lots of eating out. So I need to get a grip on this while the pants still fit - albeit a tad more snuggly.2

So back in the good old days with a different scale and app...
Then the scale was changed and the app was changed and then the company totally changed their app again with no data export for me because my stuff was in a secondary profile and only the primary could export.
But, regardless, between April 2022 and November 2022 when the parental's house was sold the better part of 7lbs were gained.
Christmas cookies to December 2022 didn't help. A small down-tick to March was interrupted when the parental went into obvious mental breakdown territory by April. And let us not forget the contemporaneous "you've got some "electrical" issue but we don't think you're about to keel over (given that the MIBI showed no blockage or convincing abnormality) so you can wait... and wait... and wait... (still waiting... waiting)
Things got a bit better in late August/early September when someone we won't mentions started taking his new drug.
So I finally got the "new app" data exported. And rendered more meaningful by averaging each month's weigh-in information and using that average as the month's representative value (by default the app uses the random last measurement of the month!)
Anyway. Not too accurate but a better representation i hope (skewed to average to a lighter than real weight because who wants to raise their hand and say they weigh themselves more often when they think they're at their highest instead of skipping and waiting for tomorrow to weigh-in again! RIGHT? ME TOO!)
But STILL a good 10lbs away from where I USED to be... and the curve is flattening out
And yes, I am only playing in the 0.3 to 1.3lbs per MONTH--not per week-- so pure baby bush league stuff here!!!!!!

Fascinating, PAV. Somehow may ability to bounce around pretty wildly in a short period of time short circuits my viewing of patterns. I really need to get past that.
5 pounds down? Meaningless.
5 pounds up? Meaningless.
Which is true maybe - but not with compound ups and no downs inbetween.
But really - how would I know - my scale and I have not connected often as of late.
BUT
That will change nowish - because I'm going to rejoin the life that I want plan2 -
I'm not 100% I followed your post. You CANNOT do these graphs anymore?2
-
Huh? Sort of but not really?
I've lost the data for between April and November 2022.
Trendweight shows an exponentially weighted average trend going back 10 days. Not only was I missing relatively few weight ins at the time but every single value is shown on the graph.
The new graph is not produced automatically.
It just shows a simple average weight each month.
So it totally ignores what may have happened during the month.
15lbs up followed by15lbs down would show as zero change.
So it sort of reflects reality in less detail than the trendweight graph.
But yes, the automatic graph showing only the last value of each month had me crying when I realized that's what they were doing!!!2 -
Down another few ounces but hey it’s progress. PAVs recent post made me look back as to why I had a significant weight uptick the last year. There were injuries curtailing exercise. And life changes with loss of close family members. Much traveling. So yeah I can see now that I lost focus with stress and emotional eating.
I do better with calm and routine. Hoping my current peaceful days continue……3 -
May 2024 be a mild year 🤞🏻
Boring and peaceful 🙂3 -
That would be nice...
.... if it were to happen!2 -
SW - 96.0kg (BMI 40) - 17th March 2021
Lowest ever weight - 58.4kg (BMI 24.3) - reached this goal 31st August 2022
GW - 60.0kg (BMI 25.0)
CW - 66.0kg (BMI 27.5)
I've regained 6.0kg over my goal weight, but there's no point varnishing the truth....I've gained 7.6kg not 6.0kg, because my lowest ever weight was 58.4kg on 31st August 2022.
The gain equates to a calorie surplus of about 110 calories per day since I disappeared from this group the first week in September 2022.
It doesn't take much effort to over-eat by 110 calories per day, but when you do it day after day after day it soon starts to add up. I've had 530 days of ever-so-slightly-too-many-calories....and now I reckon it'll take me another 500-ish days to get back to my goal weight.
Life is very stressy at the moment so I'm going to be kind to myself and set myself a daily deficit goal of just 100 calories, which means I'll be losing a little under 100g per week. Slow and steady wins the race.
That means I won't be back to 60kg until around 20th May 2025 - which just so happens to be the week of my 60th birthday. I think that augurs well - a dandy little alignment of the stars to reach 60 by 60...5 -
Brilliant plan! You have done well by catching the upswing before it swung too high. Congratulations. Not sure who you are maybe our parachuting beauty? Whoever you are, I'm glad you are back with us0

Woohoo, Nic! I was wondering today what your loss looks like. Good for you. You must feel like a bit like you are floating on air2

I had bought brand new scrubs right about the point of my highest weight, because I was switching positions. I am still wearing them, lol. Thankfully scrubs (especially drawstring pants) and quite forgiving like that. They are definitely too big though. I need to go to the scrub store soon. If I can fit into scrubs 2 sizes down, I'll buy a couple pairs.4
-
Have you purchased your new scrubs yet, Nic? Can't have your pants falling down on the job1

Start - 285.4 lb - 2021 01 01
Goal - 175.0 lb
Last Monday - 253.2 lb

Again! I'm feeling pretty lucky. Was hoping to maintain and seem to be losing - while still eating imperfectly. I know my tracking is imperfect, but it is close enough to not feel overwhelming. And I am being careful with the high stakes foods.
This certainly put a bounce in my step today!
And ... I think I am making progress on the plantar fasciitis front so I can bounce a bit Finally FINALLY walking without ridiculous pain and NO Tylenol. I found a new exercise that actually seems to be helping (or crazy coincidence after 18 months of pain). I'll find a link and post it.2
