F2F-CHALLENGES:
- - WEEKLY GROUP CHALLENGE (Challenges hosted by teams for the entire group)
Week 1 - TRIMSTONES
Week 2 - WEIGHT NO MORE
Week 3 - WAISTAWAYS
Week 4 - SHRINKING ASSETS
- - MODERATOR'S CHALLENGE (Challenges hosted by the moderators of the group)
- - INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGES (Challenges within teams themselves)
HOW OUR CHALLENGES WORK:
We have 4 total possible challenges and NONE are mandatory. Our challengers can do none or all it's up to them. So we have...
The F2F Weekly TEAM Challenge - posted each week on Sunday in the announcements by the team who is assigned that particular week (see above for your week). This is for the F2F Group as a whole.
F2F Moderators Challenge/Topic of the week - This challenge is provided each week in the announcements area. One of the moderators will either provide a challenge that will involve anything fitness, health, and nutrition.
Individual Team challenges - these are challenge done within your own team. You can chose daily, weekly, or monthly challenges (weekly seems to work best). You can make this whatever you wish as long as it's health and fitness related.
Note: If for some reason your team is unable to provide the weekly challenge please let me know ahead of time so another team can take your place or so I can provide the challenge.
Good Luck Teams: Please let us know if there is anything wrong or if you notice something that needs to be fixed or modified. Everything seems ready to go for AUGUST. Registrations are almost done and we have quite a few new challengers. Make sure you are going into your new team threads to welcome anyone who has started posting. Let’s make our newbies feel welcome and show them some F2F love!!
THANKS, YOUR MODS

ohhh man, pain flare like crazy yesterday. friday was a good day. i love my new job. then i woke up yesterday in bad pain. spent the day not moving, but i won't say resting because it wasn't restful at all. i feel a little better this morning. the pain has lightened up some but it is still up over my normal. I will do my introduction shortly but i want to catch up with everyone first!!
@amytriesww Hi Amy, i am so glad you are here. i read over your start, stop and keep. it is a very good plan for sure. just be really careful of how you talk to yourself. you never know when you will be listening!! you talk about not being so hard on yourself and you are right that is so very important. you also say your ridiculous and trust me you are not. you are just doing what you have always done. August is going to be a month of change. we are going to start changing some of those old bad habits and replacing them with positive new ones. so instead of saying that's ridiculous, try turning that around. what could you say to yourself instead?
@nstephenson01 i am with you girl. we have lots of work to do this month. lets get started today. get drinking your water and making your plan. you know how to do this and so do I. now lets get busy!!
@hope002 maintains are good. you got this. now lets kick it up in august.
@lenka1 wooo whoo thats a half pound! good job! keep it up.
@Mrsbell8well keep my spot warm, i am on my way. maintenance is coming this fall. i can see it, i want it. i will do anything and everything i have to to get there. and happy anniversary!! have fun tubing.
@Moarrein you can definately stay. yeh and maintenance is right around the corner. i am so proud of you. you have done a very nice job. sometimes children can test our limits. you are a human being and make errors in judgement. have you talked to him about how you treated him yesterday? sometimes a little I'm Sorry goes a long way to make you both feel better.
@timibotkin and @ihp2015 omgosh welcome back! i am so happy you are here.
@ihp2015 yes! you got a full time job. what are you doing now?
@kirsten11872 that is just a small gain. what will you do differently this week to turn it around?
@ljdanny enjoy your vacation, i am glad you made it there in one piece!!
@twyla77 walking is a great way to clear your mind of the day. you are doing awesome! maybe you need a dog at your house? or do you have one?
@sleepymom5 ohhh yea girl, your building momentum. good job.
@McKay85 i will put in a request to have you moved to a friday weigh in. no problem.

Well good morning everyone. I can't believe it is August. Time sure does fly by. My name is Cyndie and I am one of the Team captains along with @sleepymom5 . I have been with this group since September 2017. I started my weight loss journey January of 2017 when I had reached my highest weight of 196 pounds. I am only 5 foot tall so that was a lot of mass to stack on this short little frame. Currently, I weigh 154.5 pounds and need to loose about 24.5 more pounds. So with the help and support of my Teammates and friends here I have lost a total of 40 pounds. I started my weight loss journey using the simple calories in/calories out method (ci/co). but now, have been using intuitive eating. i have developed some unhealthy food issues over the last 40 years and i am working on changing some very old engrained beliefs about food and my body. My main form of exercise is walking and yoga. I have some sort of chronic pain condition. None of the experts can seem to agree on what it is so I just call it chronic pain. I have been ill since 2011 and they (the supposed experts who can't even agree on what it is) don't believe that my pain will go away.
I just got married June 14th this year. He is a wonderful man, Jim who is kind and loving and totally understanding. I have 2 adult children both with addictive personalities and my oldest has schizophrenia. He is 34 years old and who lives on his own but is still very dependent on me to live his life. My youngest is a 29 year old man who lives in Florida and just got out of a 90 day treatment program at the VA. I have two grandchildren, one is 12 and one is 4 and i don't get to see either. I live in michigan and work full time as an office manager of a finance company. I was just hired at a different office within the same company. My parents are both 86 and my mother has been extremely sick the last few months. So i spend lots of time with doctors visits, hospitals and physical therapy. Besides getting to know one another, the reason i tell you all of this is because i want you to see first thing that life happens and i have been losing weight anyway. It is all a choice. If you want it bad enough you will do what it takes to make it happen in spite of your hectic chaotic life.
I am an open book. I come here and tell the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is the way this works.
So now on to Team business:
I ask that you please check in daily or more if you please. But minimally daily. Many of us here check in with the following format.
Check in for: Thursday
Logged food: yes, on track
Water: 64 oz
Steps or exercise: 10000 and 30 minutes of yoga
You can check in daily however you want really, just as long as your check in. most check in for the day before. kind of like a report. so today is sunday, my daily check in will be for what i accomplished yesterday.
So come on in and introduce yourselves. Tell us a little about yourselves and what your goals are. Lets get healthy together, "One day at a Time" Oh yea, and feel free to visit last months thread and read thru it if you'd like, it will give you a little feel of who we are. And please star this in your favorites so it is easy to get too.
Now, our way to weigh in on weigh in day:
User ID: Cyndiesstuff
Week Number: Week 1
Previous weight: 154
Current weight: 154.5
Please be sure to weigh in promptly. But if you can't and something comes up, just don't ignore it. Come here and explain and we will get you excused from the weigh in.
@amytriesww @ihp2015 and @timibotkin Welcome to our August thread. Please introduce yourselves and what your goals are. I look forward to traveling this journey with you.

Here is to a great august I am regrouping and recommitting. My computer should be fixed and I should be able to log and check in with everyone everyday.
My name is Anne-Marie I live in Northampton UK with my husband and 5 year old daughter. I have been struggling with my weight loss in July and June. I am also very active but I have also been very lazy with my training and had a chat with my tri coach and we have redefined my goals and plans. I am cutting down on the amount of time I am training which means I will need to be careful about what I eat. I was going to do a really long bike ride but after talking to my coach I have decided to do a shorter duathlon instead. I am committing to losing 1lb a week. For the past 2 months I have bouncing around between 142 and 135. My goal is to get to 130 and to stabilise there. I think I have been holding myself back by not committing to a weight loss goal just wanting to lose weight. I am going to go back to calorie counting. I am also committing to plan my week and review this daily along with my training plan. Let's get this weight shifting!
Some exciting news. I unexpectedly came into some money my daughter wants to go to Disneyland, Paris. So we are taking her at the end of the month. We will also be spending a couple of days in Paris. I am so excited. I have already planned to do a park run and booked on a bike tour which will be a brilliant way to see Paris. it will be an interesting challenge to stick to the plan whilst on holiday.
Bracing myself for my weight in tomorrow. It is not going to be pretty.6 -
Hi everyone,
I'm so glad to be back on Team Weight No More!
My name is Irene and I live in Denmark with my husband. I just came back from a wonderful 4- week vacation in the US. We spent 2 weeks in Palm Desert before meeting my parents, sister, brother in- law and 2 nieces in Orlando, Florida for another 2 weeks.
I took a break from weight loss for the past 4-5 months. I started a new job at the end of February and I really didn't have enough energy to commit to weight loss as well as get accustomed to working full time again after 5 years of being a freelancer.
Now the summer vacation is over and I've been working full time now for 5 months, so it's time to get back on track!
I'll start with a weight loss goal of 5 lbs, which is 1 lbs per week, which should be totally doable. Before my break, I lost weight relatively quick, but I can now see that I was way too focused on weight loss, so I need to be less obsessive. I know I shouldn't lose weight too fast, if I want to keep it off.
Anyway, tomorrow is going to be tough. I will have to get up at 5 am to go to work after a 4-week vacation. I've already planned my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow as well as my snacks.5 -
@cyndiesstuff: Congrats on getting married. I hope you had a wonderful day! I got a job as an executive assistant that I'm really enjoying. It's a small international organization with colleagues from all over the world. You mentioned that you also got a new job. What are you doing now?1

Good morning team. I am a 42 y/o mom of three teen girls and foster mom to a 5 yo little girl. Today is the one year anniversary of my weight loss journey. I have always been in the overweight (but not obese) category but fairly stable and quite honestly happy with my weight. I wore size 12 and like the look of a curvy figure. I was eating organic unprocessed foods (like even make mayo and salad dressing and ketchup from scratch) for several years because my oldest has a terminal medical condition and I wanted to feed her the most wholesome / best foods when the medical team advised there were not any available curative medical treatments. My weight was stable over ~ 20 years.
In 2016 I was married and things quickly became terrible. I filed for divorce after a year and have been divorced now since June 2018. My now ex-husband ate very different with lots of processed foods like candy and chips and almost no fruits /veggies. I put that food in my mouth so I fully take responsibility. It was also a very stressful time. I had not been eating this type of food for many years and the ease / convenience made it very easy to WAY over eat my emotions. I started gaining weight quickly. By the time of our divorce I was wearing size 20-22 and even my shoe size had increased. I hadn’t weighed myself in many years and wasn’t fully aware of my weight trend.
On August 4, 2018 I got out of work a few hours early and the kids were still with my sitter. I had been reading a few places on the internet about “dieting” in the previous week. I had come across MFP and decided the first step was to get my weight and start recording what I was eating each day. My weight was 228.5 pounds at 5’ 5.5” tall. My BMI was well into the obese category at 37.45. I cried off and on as I cleaned out closets and tried to process my weight issue. I committed to logging everything in the diary but not to any changes per se. But the idea of logging the whole package of chips ahoy cookies or the whole can of Pringle’s chips modified my eating right away. I spent time each day reading the forums and gleaned so much knowledge. I slowly modified my eating and my logging and my activity over several months until I was logging (using food scale for everything) very accurately and following my recommended calorie goal. I was losing weight well, too fast really. I have never looked back and have actually found this relatively easy.
I have lost 65 pounds. I am back to my prior shoe size. I am wearing size 10-12 on pants and mostly M on top. My BMI has decreased by more than 10 and is now 26.78. I am smaller than I have been since early teens and not entirely sure where I want my goal to be. Currently, I am aiming for normal BMI which is about 150 pounds. I am in the final 10-15 pounds and am hoping to move 0.5 pounds a week in that direction. I feel that losing these final pounds slowly will increase my chances of regain by allowing me time to find the best way there. This is not a diet - it is a life style change. I have created new routines and patterns of eating. I will continue this for the long term.
On August 4, 2018 I told myself: a year is going to pass regardless of what you choose to eat, make healthier choices and in the year you will be healthier. On August 4, 2019 - I am so glad I decided to make these changes.
I joined this team several months ago when I realized I wanted a group of like minded people consistently on this journey with me. I had been part of a DietBet and after the month it ended. I missed the frequent contact with that team. MFP is too big to get that from the group at large. I didn’t want to continue with the month long DietBets and found this challenge. It has been such a support and inspiration to be on this team. Checking in everyday keeps my goals at the forefront and reminds me of where I have come from / where I am headed.
My goals for August are to lose 2 pounds and continue my current path. I expanded some in a post a few days ago, but this is getting too long! I will end with this: Where are you going to be health wise on August 4, 2020?
8 -
I got off track last month but have been back on track. I gained a few pounds to 200, then went from 200 to 196.6 in 1 week. So that's where I'm starting at here. I'm hoping to be at 190 by the end of August. I started doing body groove. Doing the 30 day challenge right now. It's a lot of fun. Has anyone here done body groove or heard of it?3

Happy August!
Let’s see now, work full time at a super fun job ( supply chain for a food company and I get to spend a lots of money every month to make product) Married, with a cat baby (Lucy) and one grown daughter living in our basement. I am also grandma to 6, plus one on the way!
I like to hike, do yoga, dance around the house at night to give Lucy some exercise and get extra steps.
Goals for August:
C25K - continue (3 days/Week)
Other days - yoga, getting 10k steps, biking
Eating 2 to 2 - still figuring out when I actually start to feel full (I have a bottomless pit)
Keeping my carbs below 40 net grams
Lots of mind and body again this month!
Welcome new members!!3 -
Friday and Saturday check in
Both great days - food, water and exercise good.
I did buy some ice for home and now I am drinking so much more. I can’t have any taste in my water except my water drops. I even had my hubs install a filtered water dispenser on my kitchen sink!
Yesterday we cleaned the garage, it was hot and humid and wasn’t planning on that but we got it done and burning a lot of calories!
Today will be an easier day!
Greetings to everyone!,2 -

Previous weight: 202.2

I believe I know where my mistakes were this week and the fact I haven't been counting my calories at all. I REALLY need to get back to doing that so I can see this weight go back down!4 -
Barbb1557 check in
Friday and Saturday were awesome as I spend the days with both my son's, 28 and 29 years old. I saw my grand daughter, 22, months old, my son's wife and the other one's girlfriend. Most of us spent the night at my friends house and it was awesome. Family means everything to me and my friends are like family.
There was lots of wine and beer and of course great food. I managed to have one drink each night and lost a pound when I stepped on the scale this morning Victory for me. I have an important blood test in September and want to continue to lose weight and increase daily exercise. I feel very optimistic about achieving my goal of losing 4 pounds this month.5 -
Happy August! Intro later.1

Hello all! Welcome to August! 😊
I’m feeling good! I had a slight gain, but I’m on track. Hoping to get back to the 150’s this month. I’m so close so I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t. My goal is to get to my ultimate goal weight by the end of the year. I would like to be between 145-150, I’ll see how I feel when I get there. I’m hoping to hit goal before the end of the year, but I’m being realistic.
Have a great weekend! I’ll be enjoying my last 2 days of vacation, back to work on Wednesday. 😁4 -
I love reading everyone’s intros! Welcome to August new and returning team members!! I’m Nancy, 50, married for 18 ½ years and have two K9 fur kids. I was born and raised in California but my husband and I relocated to Montana 7 ½ years ago. The transition to living in Montana along with a couple of difficult life events was more challenging than I anticipated and my coping methods led me to gain 40 pounds. I dabbled with Sparkpeople for a few years, losing and gaining the same few pounds. Not Sparkpeople’s fault, I just wasn’t committed to changing. December 2016 I topped out at 220.5, became serious about using MFP and committed to making small, sustainable changes to get rid of this weight. September 2017 I joined F2F. I have since lost a little over 50 pounds. I probably lose weight at a slower pace than anyone LOL but I manage to keep off what I lose. This group is such a wonderful source of support and inspiration!!
Quick Stats:
Height: 5’8”
Highest Weight: 220.5
Current Weight: 168.8
Goal Weight: 158
My husband works on long term construction projects that take him away from home for extended periods of time. His current project has him working in Pennsylvania since April. I spend much of my time traveling back and forth to wherever he might be working. I have yet to learn how to travel without gaining weight! I often say that I retain water when I fly. That may be true to a certain extent but I also gain weight because I use the trip as an excuse to eat crap and day drink at the airport.
My goal for July was to lose 4 pounds to reach 165. It was an unusually busy month for me but the first three weeks were pretty successful… I hit my goals and lost a little over a pound each week. I got pretty close to 165. Then the trip from hell to visit my husband happened. My flight from Detroit to Harrisburg was cancelled due to weather and Delta stranded me overnight in Detroit. A four day visit to see my husband became essentially 2. That night threw me for a total loop and I ate stuff I normally steer clear of. Eating crap continued for pretty much the remainder of July and I ended the month higher than I began it.
I’m very disappointed in how my July ended. I reflected on the past month and made plans for August while mowing the lawn this morning and I had a moment of enlightenment LOL. So many times I can’t count… I begin the week or the month super motivated. Full of positive, make the change happen, energy… hitting my goals, eating right, drinking my water, losing weight and then something happens and I get derailed losing my motivation and momentum. It’s easy to slip back into bad habits, its way harder to keep feeling motivated. I take that positive mojo energy and momentum for granted. When I feel bad or face controversy is when I feel I need to protect myself… total BS and just plain wrong mindset. I need to be better about protecting my motivated, fierce self. So that was my revelation… Why did I not realize that before LOL!!
Looking forward to a successful, no excuses August!! Let's finish summer off strong!!

Check in for: Friday and Saturday
Logged food: yes, on track
Water: at least 60 oz per day (which is a bit low for me-will do better this week!)
Steps or exercise: a little over 11,000 both days (Leslie Sansone 4-mile video workout/ about 55 minutes)
Friday and Saturday were pretty good days for me. Happy that I got lots of movement in. I just added exercise in my routine in the past couple weeks and I still have days where my mind tries to talk me out of it….but I always feel so happy once I’m done. So, I’ve been trying to focus on that feeling and it helps to stay on track.
@cyndiesstuff Thanks for such a warm welcome! You are right when you say I am just doing what I’ve always done. There’s a little humor in the fact that I said I needed to not be so hard on myself and then I turned around and called myself ridiculous. I didn’t even pick up on that! Lol I think it will be a challenge to change that kind of talk to myself, because I’ve been doing it my entire life, but I’m ready to start being better to myself.
I’m sorry to hear about your chronic illness. I can’t even imagine how frustrating it must be to not have any answers. It definitely proves that doctors just don’t know everything. Don’t ever give up on searching for answers.
@amsandos Don’t be afraid to weigh in! The hardest part was to admit that you’ve been struggling. You made a new plan and no matter what the scale says, be proud of the steps you’ve taken to continue on your journey. You’re almost to goal! Also, Disneyland Paris sounds amazing! I hope you have the best time with your daughter!
@ihp2015 Your vacation sounds lovely! The 5 am wake up, however, does not! Lol I wish I had something to say to make your morning easier tomorrow, but I got nothing! I’ve been sleeping in all summer and my daughter goes back to school in about 3 weeks…..I already don’t want to get up!
@phoebe112476 Congratulations on your 1-year weight loss anniversary! That is a huge accomplishment! Your story is very inspirational. You should be so proud of how far you’ve come. On August 4, 2020, I hope to still be working towards my health and putting myself first when I need to.
@Zumba_Luvah I have heard of Body Groove! It looks fun! What are the workouts like?
@carlsoda Six grand babies? How fun! You must never have a dull moment! Does Lucy follow you around the house? I have 3 cats….they don’t ever follow me around the house- unless it’s around dinner time!
@CassieGetsFit2013 Great job in figuring out how this week could be better! I think I mentioned above, a lot of times that’s the hardest part. Rooting for you this week!
@Barbb1557 It sounds like you had a great weekend! I agree- sending time with family is the best! Also, really great job on limiting your drinks! It’s so hard to do that during social occasions! It’s always a victory to stay on track!

thanks @amytriesww It is always better to show up for yourself and know what you are dealing with. As it turns out it was better than I feared. The truth of the scale is that I lost 1/8th of a lb but I took the decision at the beginning to only look at the big numbers. So I am taking it as a loss.
Daily check in Sunday
food on target
water not counted
exercise none slept most of the day I went out on Saturday night it was a rare occurrence I am not used to it. Today my plan is to steer clear of the kitchen and sugar and to track all my food. Have a great day everyone.2 -
So, for me. I'm Lilly from Bulgaria. 36 years, married and we have a 6-year old son. I've never bin very slim or a sports person, but during my pregnancy I gained about 40 lbs, and after giving birth, staying home and getting a driving license I gained even more. So at some point that was almost exactly 2 years ago I reached 73 kg (160lbs) and I'm only 5.1 feet tall. So that was the point I said "no more". I started visiting aerobic classes at the local gym and minimized sugar and dough. So by December when I found MFP I had lost 11 kg (24 lbs). Afterwards I also discovered MFP challenges, fitness bands and watches. And for the first time in my life I started running. I joined a running club for 5K runs and then I started participating in trail run races. I'm more of fast walking there than running, but I've done several half marathons, 1 marathon, and 2 ultras (that I couldn't finish). So now I'm about 2 lbs away from my goal weight. I've been here 10 months ago, but then I've gained weight back. Now I'm more determined then ever to reach and maintain it.

Congrats, @lenka1
That is such a good news
Check in for Sunday
Food: logged and under (no sugar, no late night snacks)
Water: enough
Exercise: 40 min Tabata circuit training + 10 min stretching + 50 min walk
Steps over 16239
It was a good day yesterday. In the morning I attended that free open door tabata class, I was planning to. Then we took our son to the cinema. It was our first movie together. We saw "Toy story 4". Had 1.5 Ikea hotdogs and some french fries. It turned out a very good friend of ours is in Bulgaria (he lives in Vienna), so he visited us in the evening. I had salad and chicken planned for dinner, but he brought a variety of hams, cheeses and beers. So I though I was lost. But I prelogged (or at least tried to) everything and I managed to try a little bit of everything and still stay within calorie limit. It felt so good when after dinner he and hubby declared they are stuffed, and I just said "I'm perfectly fine" So we decided to go for a 40 min walk in the neighborhood after dinner and when we got back I brush my teeth so I wouldn't be tempted to eat something else. BTY for me that usually works well as a precaution against late night snacking Maybe I should do it more often.4 -

it was a tough weekend for me. i am feeling some better. i am up and moving and ready for work. drinking my coffee and thinking a lot about why this is the last time. i have never worked on my thoughts around weight and food. calories in and calories out. sure... i could lose the weight but if i did change my thoughts, i would gain it back and that is exactly what i did. over and over again. i thought there was something wrong with me. but there is not. it is no wonder i gained back the weight. i didn't change the thinking that got me there in the first place. thats why this time is different. i am working on my thoughts and feeling around food and weight. it is hard. way harder that losing weight. losing weight is easy. keeping it off is not. so i struggle and learn. and fall and get back up and learn. one day at a time i am changing the way i think and feel. i am going to lose weight. and while i am losing it, i am going to make mistakes. thats ok as long as i learn from them. i have been like this for a very long time. so changing my belief system is a challenge but not impossible. with diligence, persistence and tenacity i will make this happen.
Plan for my day
exercise
go to work
get 10k steps
drink 60 oz of water
eat apple, protein bar, salad with grilled chicken, veggie bag w/hummus, chicken stir fry, outshine popcicle
go home
cook dinner
water gardens
journal about my day
@amsandos i am glad you finally got your computer fixed. we have become so dependent on these things. i am with you girl, i am going to lose a pound a week too. lets get real serious about this. this is our lives. this is what we want. no better motivation that that!! lol love unexpected money. hasn't happened to me in a very long time but i is certainly nice when it does. ohhh and paris. you are a lucky girl. and a loss for the first week! super proud of you girl! look at you making a new commitment!! that is fantastic.
@ihp2015 i am so glad you are back. it seems like an eternity. and we are all about figuring out the thought processes that got us here in the first place. you can change anything once you recognize it, analyze it, and then take ownership over it. and my job is the same, i am an office manager with a financial broker. same company, just changed branches so i am a lot busier.
@phoebe112476 ohh yes, one year aniversary. you have really changed since coming here. you have taken control of your life and built a new way. i am super proud of all the hard work you have done. and i thank you for share all the ups and downs with us. yes! you are a success.
@Zumba_Luvah work it girl. you know how to do this. and no i have never done body grove. i will have to check it out. i do certainly love to dance!!
@carlsoda your goals are totally doable. i am ther with you. dancing around the house is one of my fun forms of exercise. we are building a new life and we get to chose.
@CassieGetsFit2013 ok sweety! now you know what you need to do. make a commitment to come here every day and tell us you did it. let us help you be accountable!! come on chicky! it is up to you.
@Barbb1557 ohh weekends with family is the best. surrounded by love. and ohhh my gosh. look at you, controling the amount of alcohol. super victory. that is awesome. and i am with you. i commit to 4 pounds as well.
@Mrsbell8well happy august to you as well! wonder woman!! lol
@kirsten11872 i am so amazed at your commitment. i am very proud of you for all the hard work. you can totally do this. have you ever listened to any weight loss coaches? if you interested let me know i could give you a few suggestions.
@nstephenson01 we are soooo glad you are here. you are such an inspiration to us all. and we all learn what we still have to change when we revert back to old bad habits. because it was one thing to eat like crap on your tramatic flight, that was the trigger. analyze it and move on. but then in true fat girl thinking, you beat yourself up about it and then gave yourself permission to compulsively eat. you, nancy, are a beautiful work in progress. you will get to your goal because you will never give up! you are a rock star!!
@amytriesww wooo whooo girl! week one and a nice loss! that is super. i am dancing all the round the office! awesome! take a mental picture of how you feel! you can use it later!! and you know, it is ok to not feel like exercising. you just do it any way.
@lenka1 om gosh that is the most amazing news. a little baby. i am sooooo happy for you. yes i will ask you be moved to the cheer squad, but don't quit coming here to share with us. i still expect you to continue on your healthy journey!!
@Moarrein you are doing so well. i am glad you enjoyed a movie with your son. good clean quality time is so important. you are going to do this and keep the weight off. i know you are. now...what is your plan for today?

Thanks, @cyndiesstuff I hope you're right. First I wanted to answer your previous question about shouting at my boy. After I came home I apologized and explained him what I did was not the right way to react, though he should be more careful. I also bought him a small treat with a little toy, though I didn't tell him it was an apologetic gift
And my plan for today is:- eat on track
- stay hydrated
- try to work a little
- attend a Zumba class in the evening

Sunday check in:
Food - almost on plan. I was pretty hungry so I allowed myself some extra food. I feel much better today. Carbs were less than 40 grams which is a win for me!
Water - great day. I even got up at 1:30 am to go to the bathroom. I usually never have to get up
Exercise - I wanted to do C25K but it was just too hot and humid yesterday (will do today) but I did run around the house while I was doing meal preps and get my 10,000+ steps in. And I did a 40 minute Adriene yoga video and my body felt SOOOO good afterwards.
Plan for today:
Food - almost all planned out. Just thinking about supper tonight
Water - already on it!!
Exercise - C25K at lunch!!
@amytriesww – my Lucy is an only child so yes she is with us constantly. If she’s not she’s usually tucked away in a closet having a nap. I’m starting to train her to have treats with a bell. This morning I rang the bell and low and behold here she comes for her treat. So much fun!! I eventually want her to ring the bell herself for a treat I've been it on youtube! Great loss btw!!
@nstephenson01 – are you listening to Fit to fat podcasts. She really deals with the mental BS we always tells ourselves. I find I need to hear her message most days to keep me on the straight and narrow 😊 I hope in August you will feel so much stronger!
@lenka1 – congratulations!!!! So fun!!!
@amsandos – great WI! You can do this!!!
@Moarrein – love reading your story! Great job on becoming a running and soon you’ll be at goal weight along with @mrsbell8well!!
@cyndiesstuff – well I think there was something in the air because my husband’s fibro was so bad this weekend too. He was pretty grumpy but he just wouldn’t slow down and respect his body. I need to have a talk with him. I hope today you start feeling much better.
Have a good and strong week everyone!!3 -
@lenka1 congrats on the baby.
Welcome to all our newbies. Im Tracy from New Hampshire. I'm 47 with 2 boys 22 and 24. Married for a very long time. I seem to gain and lose the same 5 pounds for many years. I am trying my best to keep the scale moving down. I have ibs so sometimes when I eat something my stomach goes crazy. I am on vacation in Canada right now. I have been doing well with my eating but I have had a few drinks. Trying not to go overboard on those. My youngest son is expecting a baby in October. My oldest son proposed to his girlfriend yesterday while they were taking pictures to announce her pregnancy for February. We have a lot going on in the next few months. My life never seems to calm down. I'm going to have to try to get some relaxation on my trip because once I get home it's full steam ahead.5 -

Daily check in
Yesterday was a good first day! Although I didn't walk as much as I would have liked, I stayed within my calories and drank my water. But I also wanted to take it slow and get back in the swing of things, so I'm happy with my first day.
This morning was though getting up at 5 am, but I did and it was good to get back to work again.
Time for some dinner now.4
